Went down to pay for some of the permit fees and get some paperwork for a grant. Veterans can get reimbursed for fees through the grant. The Ladies up front are very helpful.

My Wife and I are purchasing a home and went in for some details about the property. The service we received outstanding service all three employees were polite and we received everything we came in for.

The people my hubby spoke to were very nice but, sorry to say, nice is not moving us forward. And no one has answers!! They sympathize with us, which we don't want or need. They nod their heads in understanding, which we don't need or want as that does not move us forward or answer our questions. We have done everything legally that has been asked of us to get back on our property. But the county keeps adding more rules to the list! We had a private contractor clear our property. It's done per the rules! Now we need a permit to put a temp. pole on our property. Nothing attached to it. We just need to get the pole in the ground. You know! So, when we're ready for power the pole is already there. A step forward! But no, not until the soil sample comes in with an "ok". Oh, plus $222.00 from us....two of the victims of the Camp Fire. AND, now "they" have decided to"they" don't like the levels of arsenic in the ground. More time needed for random testing. Arsenic in small amounts has been found in the ground years prior to the fire. ANOTHER hold up, timewise! Do "they" think we can just hang by our thumbs from the nearest tree til "they" finish making up new rules? ( Ohhh Wait! There aren't any trees left to hang from!) We're tired, we're older, we're stressed & we're living in a hotel 2 hrs drive from Magalia where our home was. C'mon Butte County!! Maybe, truthfully, you don't want any of us back on our properties.
***As of 02/21/19 We paid $222.00 to Butte Co. but NOW we need a "Temporary Housing Permit" to put OUR 5th wheel on OUR property to live in & get us out of this hotel, plus more $$$ & more time spent waiting, waiting.....And here I thought we owned our property but it seems like Butte County does!!

These people must be the Devils adult kids. They will do everything in there power to add extra expectations to your permit. They love to grind people into the ground. Scott Young is the worst of them all. Watch out for that punk!!
