I can’t say enough good about Chris. He does great work and is the nicest guy you’ll ever meet. He has helped me out at the last minute more than once and as a single mom that’s so helpful since having dependable transportation is a must.

Chris is a really great mechanic, and A1 is the best value repair shop I've ever utilized. I cannot recommend this place enough - significantly cheaper than anything in State College will ever be, and the work has always been absolutely top-notch.

My mechanically sound Mazda 3 was rusting in the rear quarter panels and front fenders. None of the body shops in State College wanted the job, and recommended I try Chris at A1 Auto in McAlevy's Fort, about 13 miles south of State College on Rte 26 (not Huntingdon, as stated in this and other business listings).

Chris is amazingly skillful and conscientious in his work. The resulting repairs were immaculate and made to last, as he uses thicker gauge metal than the manufacturers. He is sometimes hard to reach as he runs a one-man business, but always gets back to you if you leave a voicemail message.

A1 Auto will now be my first call if I need body work - highly recommended.
