Chili Szechuan

Due to my low spice tolerance I wasn't able to eat anything besides the soup dumplings (which were amazing), but my partner reports the duck and chicken flavorful.

Absolutely amazing and authentic Sichuanese food. I have been to Sichuan Province and the food at Chili Szechuan is as good, if not better than anything I had while I was in China! Pictured is the poached fish filet in spicy Szechuan sauce and the salt and pepper squid, both of which are outstanding. Remember, outside the lunch specials, dishes are mostly meant to be shared "family style" meaning the price is a bit higher but the portion is correspondingly larger (and meant to be shared), so grab a friend or some family and order a handful of dishes and prepare yourself for a great feast. On top of the awesomeness of the food the staff are warm and friendly. Will be going to this place as often as possible from now on.

i am addicted to their braised spare ribs noodle soup! I can eat this every day of the week! Fast, friendly service! Highly recommended to my friends.

Chili Szechuan is hands down the best Chinese food in Lancaster, and one of my favorite restaurants! The dishes and flavors are totally authentic - I'm from Chengdu in Sichuan province, which is where the owners are from as well, and I've never had sichuanese food as authentic as this in the US. I believe it's also family run, and the owners were the original owners of what used to be Mt Pepper on Columbia Ave - super nice people. Their new format is perfect for COVID times. Unassumingly (but conveniently) located within The Asian Center grocery store, it's so easy to place your order, get your produce shopping done, and pick up your food after - they are super fast at preparing a vast selection of dishes. A bubble tea and asian bakery shop called bleu also just opened in the adjoining space and the symbiosis is perfect. The ingredients are fresh and portions generous - sometimes they even add in little appetizer "gifts" if supply allows!

The best Szechuan region cuisine in Lancaster!!! Try the dry pot style and dishes from Chef’s Special to experience the authentic Szechuan food from China. Also great place for the usual American Chinese food. It’s inside of a large Asian food store, take out and food court style seating, not a fancy sit down restaurant.

10/10 recommend this not so far off the beaten path hidden gem! Some of the freshest, most flavorful Asian cuisine I have ever had! Will gladly drive the extra 10 minutes to get my food here! And as a bonus, it is inside an Asian Market! How much more could one ask for!?

I want to give them six stars. Here's why: unlike most Sichuan restaurants they are not too salty. In fact, they are slightly on the low end for all Chinese places, although if you are on a salt restricted diet, it's probably still too much. They modified the spice level for me perfectly, so I'm going to try some dishes hotter next time. Hot and Sour soup was spot on. Dry pot style everything was great. Braised beef brisket was amazing, with a great beef flavor. Dumplings were good. Try the Dan Dan Mein, it was as good as I have ever had. The Udon were a bit chewy, but that is a personal preference. The lo mein was good, with sort of a ramen style noodle, more of a Southern style than Eastern. This is more of a takeout place, but they have a small seating area like a food court inside an Asian grocery, which I will review separately. They had interesting background pop music. There also was a bit of the air of bustling chaos you sometimes find in Chinese places in the city. The service was good and friendly, they switched immediately into English for us round-eyes, and helped with the extensive menu which also has pages of specials.

I love this place so much! Menu items include so many genuine regional dishes from Sichuan and other nearby areas that I've been dying to try, but that aren't found at most American style Chinese restaurants. All prepared beautifully and all delicious

This place I believe is New, Yes, Original Chinese Food. The Tea Smoke duck is delicious and all the food we ordered.
If you are a person who likes to discover new things..Desserts: Fried Sweet potatoes Cake..I personally Love it.!!
