Would frequent this place a good bit when I lived right out the road. It's been years since being here but, the food, staff and service were always great. Good selection from the menu and food was always good. Down home type of place which is amazing

Unfortunately food not up to par today on Friday 08-19-2022, No orange jucie and the potatoes speak for themselves, not fresh at all. If you haven't been to hill top in a while. It's well worth the trip as you can tell.great food and great prices for the food you get.

This restaurant is exactly what it looks like good food, cheap prices, and good service. Everything was clean. The tables were arranged with plenty of distance. The food had excellent flavor. The waitress was attentive but not too much so.

Great food...fast service and very reasonable prices

We ordered the grilled ruben w/fries and the cajin fish sandwich w/ a side of coleslaw. They were out of slaw 😓. So I had a side salad. The fish was excellently cooked and seasoned. The Ruben was hot and tasty, the fries crispy.

There food is awsome. Hill top Personal are A1. So nice and on the Ball. Its like being at your grandmas home.. really really nice ! Please check it out!!!

The food is amazing but it's so small inside

These ladies work their buttons off! Best service between Hermitage to NewCastle! Everything is great here. If it weren't for the drive & hrs. of being open I would always come here to eat out. Weather u dine in ur take out.

Food and service are both great!

It starts and ends with the food... everything ordered by our party of five was excellent... you know when you say, "you gotta try this" and give someone at the table a bite, yeah, it's that good... they were short staffed (as is everywhere currently) but the service and food did not suffer for it... good portions for big eaters and plenty of leftovers for light eaters... very reasonable on price as well... 5 in our party (2 children) was $45... will definitely be back, many times to come...

No nonsense approach

One of the best kept secrets in Lawrence County. Not that it's a very well kept secret anymore because they are quite busy. Lunch here is always fast friendly and delicious! Prices are unbeatable and service is Wonderful! On Fridays, when my father and his friends have lunch there, I usually stay back and man the office, like I did today. I'm more of a Hermit, lol. Today, I had the broiled fish with green beans and rice -- I know that Sounds very plain but if you don't do it really well, it's horrible. The fish was, tender, flaky and flavorful and the green beans were perfect; soft but not overcooked, bright green and delicious! Since my wife never eats all of her lunch, I also got to taste hers, which was the delicious battered, fried version of the same delicious fish. The coleslaw was fantastic and These are kine fries which are to die for! We also had a bowl of clam chowder, which was incredible! I don't typically go to a restaurant for lunch to see a beautiful waterfall or a fountain that changes colors -- Nor do I care if they have a sliding board or a playground for my kids. I simply go to have a great meal for a fair price. I'm happy even if the service is barely adequate. Well, I can't comment on that this time because I got mine to go, But I know that from the time they left till the time they got back to the office, it was barely 40 minutes. So I can tell you one thing; The service had to be pretty fast. Just logical. Anyway, if you're hungry stop at the Hill house restaurant. You will not be disappointed.

What does a family-owned family run restaurant their motto the dishes may not match but the food is great. The food is awesome and if you have a special mean that usually can take care of that. I go every Monday morning in a group and they always provide if we need to reserve a certain amount of seats.

This place is a hidden gem! The food is amazing! Always hot, fresh and delicious. If you are looking for home style cooking this is your place. The only thing this place lacks is optimum parking and atmosphere, but it strangely adds to it's charm!

Love their food, everything is so good. Takeout is my main thing, like they say in their advertising there is no atmosphere. And parking kinda sucks, but the food more than makes up for it. Really good food! Taste home cooked!

Absolute best home cooked food in town. The best part is it won't break your wallet. For breakfast I get the mess with my eggs over easy instead of scrambled. Just can't beat that awesome breakfast best I've had in this country.

Foods great. Your order of chili fries will come out on your buddies plate, you'll ask for unsweet and they'll bring you sweet tea. Foods great, though!

My family and i ordered a HUGE selection of goodies. The food was fantastic. Didn't have to wait long and service was great. I am disabled and they helped me carry everything out to my Jeep. GREAT GREAT GREAT DINNER !!!!!!!!

Great food, great service. Everyone in my party loved their food and was full at the end of the meal. Definitely will be back, highly recommended.
