This is the 2nd house that 5 Star had painted for us. Both times have been a great experience. Haley (project manager) is a joy to work with. She is very detailed and stays in perfect communication with us and our tenants.
Will definitely be using them again.

We had a great experience with Five Star Painting. Craig came over to assess and bid the job and was so helpful-- he even met me at Sherwin Williams to help me pick the right paint for our ceiling. Joe started the next morning and was meticulous and took his time and did a great job. It is so refreshing to find a contractor that is so easy to work with! We will definitely use them again in the future.

Five Star did an awesome job painting the exterior of my house. Craig was professional and easy to talk to throughout the bid process and the work. Joe did an amazing job fixing up what needed fixing prior to painting, going above and beyond my expectations to get things looking like new before painting. Craig (owner) and his painter Zack were top notch in preparation and full painting. They were very detailed and exceeded our expectations. The price was fair and getting a bid scheduled through their website was easy. Always on time and used good materials as well. It takes time to do the job right, most other companies would not give the same attention that they do. Highly recommend!

We re- painted and changed the colors of our exterior. Five Star gave us five star treatment. Our contact Craig was friendly, efficient, accommodating, always available and on track with the project all week. His painter, Travis, who did our house was on-time, thorough, and interested in making sure we were pleased with the work. I would recommend them because they were interested in doing the job right, on budget, and to our satisfactory.

I hired five star painting to paint the exterior of our home. Craig provided a quote while he was on location and explained everything in detail. He was able to answer all of my questions and his price was fair. The painting crew arrived on time and they prepped the house thoroughly and completed the project on time. We were impressed throughout and would recommend them to everyone.

This company did an outstanding job with repainting my garage despite my own challenges I brought to the project where I had used marker on the walls to note for the electrician where to do things, and this was challenging to paint over! But Joe the foreman with 5 Star was relentless with adding powerful primer, one layer after another, until he felt the marks would not bleed through to the paint, and they didn’t! It wasn’t just that he went out of his way to fix my screw up, but he kept me informed of the issue and his ongoing work to resolve as he was working on it. He also went out of his way across the board with extra sanding, caulking and masking to ensure the end result was top notch all the way around and exactly the way I wanted. Liked Joe and this company for the great work they provided with integrity, and for a fair price. 5 Star Painting deserves a 5 star review in my case!!

I found both Craig and Joe very easy to work with. They listen to all of my concerns about the state of the walls, and they made sure to address those concerns. Joe was a delight. He worked efficiently and did an excellent job of patching and painting the old walls of my house.

We hired Five Star Painting to paint and repair a house that we had just purchased that had some water damage to the siding causing it to bow. Craig and his team provided us with a fair estimate for the painting and repairs, met with us to discuss what was going to be done, matched the colors and coordinated all of the painting and repairs in a courteous and efficient manner. Five Star Painting painted our fence, the front of our house, porch floor, doors and trim and we are very happy. They did it all in about 3 days. Would hire them again for future jobs. Highly recommend!

I highly recommend Five Star Painting of Boise. Our house will soon be on the market, and we needed the exterior of our sizable house painted, and we needed it fast. We wanted to balance price, quality and timeliness; and we hired the right company. If anything, I’d say we underpaid for what we received.

Short version of my review: The price was fair, they answered the phone, they didn’t leave a mess, the paint job was great, the crew showed up on time each day, the work was finished on schedule, friendly staff, great crew, etc. Absolutely nothing to complain about.

First, don’t be put off by the ownership structure. They are a national franchise, which translates to savings for you. Given their national volume, you benefit from the purchase power they have for paint and supplies. The staff lives in our valley and they spend your money in our valley. The paint crews are subcontractors, but that’s o.k. too. That keeps overhead to a minimum, again a benefit to your pocket book. Craig does all the managing, you don’t need to. Craig has established relationships with his crews, so no worries about the work. His crews are not "fly-by-nighters". They live here with families.

Detailed experience:
Bid process: They took my phone call, the first time. No waiting for someone to call me back; that was refreshing. A lady took my information along with a brief description of the work I needed. Within a day, Craig made contact and arranged a time the following day to meet on-site. Craig not only showed up, but he was a few minutes early. Again, a very refreshing sign. He walked around my house, asked a few questions, then went to his car for a few minutes. He soon provided a printed scope of work with a reasonable price. He explained what I should expect and when to expect it.

Your hired, Craig: We soon shook hands, signed the agreement, and provided them ½ the amount upfront and he scheduled the work. A few days later, when the weather broke, Craig’s crew, led by Miguel, showed up and went to work. Rarely have I experienced a contractor showing up, especially on-schedule.

Miguel’s work: Miguel’s crew was exceptional. He asked what time he could start and how late he could work, a good sign of someone that wants to work. The first day they pressure washed the house and started prep work. As they left, everything was cleaned up and organized for the next day. After a few days delay due to rain, they showed up at sunrise and quietly went to work. Two days later, job completed. Miguel walked around and made a few touch-ups. When they left, they cleaned up and took all the mess with them. Miguel and his crew have a work ethic that I have not seen in a long time. The crew was very respectful of my house and property.

Top quality: As soon as the crew finished, Craig requested a walk-thru with me. My schedule didn’t permit, so I pushed it back a day. However, Craig did a pre-inspection with Miguel. One small area near an eve needed addressed. During our walk-thru, I saw nothing requiring attention, but Craig did. He noticed a few, small paint drops on the concrete. I declined his offer to have them removed, since I am pressure washing the entire concrete.

How do they rate: And that’s why I gave Five Star Painting of Boise a solid 5 star rating!

Excellent experience from the initial contact throughout the project. Fair price for the quality of the job received. The painter assigned my job did a thorough job from start to finish. Highly recommended!
