We are in love with Mi Casita. We started attending the school in the early days after COVID lockdowns when it was extremely difficult to find a daycare that had space for both of our kids. We decided on Mi Casita mainly for the Spanish-language immersion curriculum even though, at the time, they only had permanent space for one of our two kids. As time passed, they opened up more space for infants which allowed our younger child to stay long term as well. We had lots of communication with the director of the school during this time, and it was very heartwarming to see the staff really go the extra mile to try and bring certainty during a time when everything felt so uncertain.

Now almost two years later I can say this is a truly exceptional daycare. We experience that same heartwarming feeling every day when we bring the kids into what feels like their second home. The staff really goes out of their way to make this feel like a family, and we get frequent progress reports via the education app the school uses as well as talking with the teachers every day. You get photos, videos, and updates frequently throughout the day, so you are always up to date with what is going on at the school. I recommend Mi Casita to anyone I meet that is looking for exceptional childcare!

Mi Casita is the best daycare in the area. From the extreme care put into the curricular development of their projects, to the unmatched level of care and love the teachers and administrators put into making this educational journey the best experience for both parents and students, this place is truly the best daycare you could want for your child. Our son has been so loved by his teacher Johanna, and he adores her. It is going to be so hard to find another teacher like her. She is a true gem. He has flourished this year learning at Mi Casita and we could not be happier to have found Mi Casita. As an educator myself, I can see educational excellence delivered in the classroom on a daily basis. On top of that, they deliver TRUE immersive Spanish education, which is rather hard to find. We have been extremely lucky to have had our son learn at Mi Casita Ardmore this year.

Mi Casita is quite literally a home for our children’s child care and schooling. We have been a part of this incredible community for two years, since our oldest was 2.5yr & youngest 3m old. We are only English speaking at home, and both kids are now bilingual thanks to the amazing staff and program. The school has a brilliant project structure for learning, where they focus on one topic a month, and explore it inside and out. We love the family events they host, that relate to the projects topics too. The kids love there outdoor space, specifically for the gardening ‘after school’ in the spring-fall. We have made many friends and spend a great deal of time with the families in our kids classes outside of just the school. If you want your kids to be singing, and speaking a 2nd language, and need an amazing pre-school, I strongly recommend Mi Casita! 🫶🏻🫶🏻

We started sending our daughter to Mi Casita over a year ago for full time care and we couldn't be happier. The teachers at Mi Casita treat our daughter and all the children with such love and care. I know that when I send her there she is well taken care of, all her needs are being met, she is being educated and she is safe. Having the peace of mind that my daughter is happy each day is absolutely priceless. We will be sending our second child there as well. The community at Mi Casita really feels like a family and I feel so lucky to be apart of it.

Mi Casita has been a great experience for our family. Our son has been able to experience his Spanish culture and language every day. The Mi Casita teachers and staff are so caring and amazing. Project-based learning is a great way for our son to learn. We have been really happy here!

Our little guy (almost two! Where has the time gone?!) has been at Mi Casita since he was four months old. We LOVE this school. The staff is friendly and warm and clearly love the kids. Our son bee-lines (appropriate, given this month's theme is insects!) to his classroom in the morning and gives his teachers a big hug. He clearly feels safe and loved here. And his language skills are blowing our mind - he understands directions, bodyparts, etc. in two languages (his other dad and I speak in English with him at home, but know enough Spanish to practice with him), and his first words have been a mixture of Spanish and English. I really cannot say enough good things about this school.

As a new parent I cannot tell you the peace of mind I feel to have my child in an environment where he is safe, loved and cared for. The teachers at Mi Casita are just genuinely good people that care about the well-being of our children. Anytime I drop off or pickup my child someone is always there with a smile ready to start the day. I am so grateful to have such an amazing school close by with fantastic people. It also helps me to improve my Spanish which is a win win for our household!

My son has attended Mi Casita Philadelphia since he turned 2 and absolutely loves his school days! Recently, I had to make a tough decision to leave the city so I could be closer to work. I wanted to make sure my son was still going to the best school for him. To help ease the big move transition, I specifically found us a home near the Mi Casita Ardmore location! We are very eager to join the Mi Casita Ardmore branch this summer!

I can't say enough great things about this place! We moved to PA from TX and looked at MANY daycare options for our then 1.5 year old. He had never gone to daycare prior, and being first time parents AND first time sending our baby out - I could not be more pleased with how everything turned out at Mi Casita! Our kid has been there just over a year now and loves going to school - walks in and out happy every day. The teachers take such great care of our kiddo and by the way he talks about them I know it's genuine. Spanish language skills were important to us so we were thrilled to have found Mi Casita. Our 1.5 year old was able to count to 10 in Spanish within the first 2 weeks of being there. I will say the only thing that makes balancing work/school a little difficult is that they follow the school district school schedule so for a place that provides daycare, there are quite a bit of holidays. We are able to manage because one of us works from home, but it would be difficult to manage the breaks and holidays if we both had to go into the office. But overall the education and care is top notch!

Our oldest son started at Mi Casita on January 2021 and we've never been happier. I was especially excited to have found a Spanish immersion school since I only speak Spanish to my kids. To me, form the moment I visited Mi Casita, it was a match made in Heaven. From the day we started they've treated us like family, everyone from the administration, to the teachers and even the parents welcomed us with open arms. Although COVID has brought a lot of challenges for daycares and pre-schools like Mi Casita, we believe they have done an incredible job at getting to know the parents and communicating with us. Our son's teacher would send us reports throughout the day and we really felt like we knew what he was doing and we could see him enjoying the activities. His teacher would also spend a few minutes during carpool to let us know if anything exciting had happened during the day, and if there was anything we needed to review at home. All the things that seemed to be little details for others, Mi Casita took care of, and it made all the difference for us. We love that each month there's a different theme and they work on it with the children. Taking a specific theme like bees, and looking deep into it, allowed our son to learn so much about bees, not just colors, and sounds, but also about where bees live, and honey, and so much more. We are excited to be continuing in Mi Casita this year and we're looking forward to the themes of the year.

My daughter began going to Mi Casita when she was about 1 1/2 years old. It was her first time at daycare, and I was a nervous wreck, but the staff at Mi Casita made the transition as easy as it possibly could have been. They were so responsive and kind, always patiently answering my many, many questions. Especially during the first few months, while my daughter took quite a bit of time to get used to not being at home, they were constantly looking for ways to make the transition easier for me and my daughter.

I was a bit nervous at first about sending her to a school that speaks a different language, especially since neither me nor my husband (nor anyone in our families) speaks Spanish. Several people asked if I thought it would hinder her learning English, and others asked if it would be too overwhelming for her since she had never heard Spanish before. But I trusted my gut that this would be the right thing, and I was definitely right. Not only has it not hindered her English, I actually believe that it has helped it. Her speaking has exploded since she started at Mi Casita. And it is clear that she loves it. Several times a week (if not several times a day), she puts all of her stuffed animals in a circle, and recreates the circle time from school, singing (in Spanish) "Hola, Hola", "Estrellita Dónde Estás", "ABC", etc..., constantly exclaiming "Muy bien!" at her stuffed animals. Mi Casita also provides a list of vocabulary for the month as well, so that we can practice at home (and I can learn some Spanish too).

My daughter's teachers have been absolutely wonderful since day 1, and even when she has rough days, she comes home and just wants to talk about her teachers and her classmates at school. Throughout the day, they constantly keep us updated, sending pictures and personal notes to let us know how she is doing. It is obvious how much they love and care for the kids they teach; they treat them like their own. Even teachers that she has only had once or twice as substitutes will wave to her and call her by name as we walk by them in the hall. I also love how much the teachers truly pay attention to what the kids need, and how responsive they are to those needs. They have a curriculum, but if the kids aren't interested or it seems like they just need a break to be outside or to play, they never hesitate to give them that freedom.

I also love the project based learning that Mi Casita uses. The themes are always relevant and focused on truly learning about our world and different cultures, and the project based approach means that my daughter is not just learning letters and numbers, but she's learning real life skills.

I cannot say enough about how much we have loved Mi Casita, and how much we would recommend it to anyone.

We enrolled our 3.5 year old and 1.5 year old at Mi Casita 6 months ago and we couldn’t be happier! We have had other daycare/preschool experiences and Mi Casita has been by far the best! My 3.5 yo comes home so excited to tell me about his day and I’m impressed everyday with the unique and engaging activities and themes they have. My little guys is welcomed with a big smile every morning and the teacher’s calling him by his nickname. You can tell it’s a very happy, caring and welcoming environment:) The fact that they are also learning Spanish is an added bonus. I was worried about how a then 3 yo would adjust but to only hearing Spanish but he’s really picked it up and tells me the Spanish word for things at home.

Hugo (3 years old) and Evie (11 months old) have found their home away from home in Mi Casita. It is amazing to see how well treated they are and very importantly how happy they come back every day. When we have been out on holiday, Hugo has even pointed out how much he misses his friends, teachers and Mi Casita in general. It is obvious that the kids get excellent all around care, they learn a lot, they are taught good manners and of course, all in Spanish! We are confident to say that Hugo is fully bilingual and hope Evie will too. Hugo also had the experience of going to the Philadelphia location before going to Ardmore which is closer to our home. Both experiences were second to none. It also needs to be pointed out that the infant room is excellent. The experience we have had with Evie witnessing the amount of didactic work they get for such a young age is astonishing and definitely superior to the experience Hugo had at another facility when he was an infant.

I wanted to wait before posting a review, that way I could wholeheartedly stand behind my rating. We have been sending our daughter to Mi Casita for nearly 6 months now and I can proudly say my wife, my daughter and myself all love Mi Casita. It is such a relief to be able to send your child to a daycare where they are excited to go and learn every day. My wife and I are both teachers (my wife even has an early childhood degree) so I feel like we were pickier than most when it came to selecting a daycare for our daughter just for the sheer fact that we know what is and is not good for young growing minds. Everything that is in place at Mi Casita is backed by research and satisfied all of our picky needs from a daycare center.

If you don't know Mi Casita is a Spanish immersion School where teachers and staff only speak in Spanish unless it's a safety concern or something to that effect. Now we do not speak Spanish at home, from speaking with other parents a rough estimate is able 50% of families speak Spanish at home and 50% speak English or a different language in their homes. The school as a whole is a diverse learning community with students and staff from various backgrounds. I love that they specifically look for teachers from various parts of the Spanish speaking world as there are so many different dialects I feel like it is smart to expose these young learners to as many different accents and dialects as possible.

The school is a project based learning environment, each month there is a newsletter that is sent out that goes over the unit that will be the topic of focus for the month. Teachers do a tremendous job of pulling together different resources that are age appropriate for students that tie back into the central theme for the month. We always enjoy seeing the updates on different projects the students learn about and create while at school.

They have an outdoor play space with grass, garden area, sandbox, and asphalt track around the outside. They work hard to get the kids outside most days except when the weather doesn't permit. I'm of the belief that there is no bad weather only inappropriate clothing... But I'm sure not all parents agree with me when their kids are out in pouring rain haha so I understand why the students are not outside every day. However any day that students are not outside they get plenty of time in the gym for gross motor development. The gym is a large indoor play space with different shape mats, balls and obstacles for students to play on.

They bring in outside professionals (who are awesome) to do afternoon enrichment like art, music and gardening. As a bee keeper myself I was so excited to hear that they have had an apiarist come in with a hive to speak with the older students about bees and bee keeping. My kiddo loves music day and I'm always sure to kill some time before picking her up so she doesn't miss any music time!

In the times of COVID they have been very cautious (and rightly so) to keep all of the students and staff safe. They communicate through brightwheel (an application on your phone where you can see photos and short videos of your kid that the teachers post.) To keep everyone in the loop on contact tracing and communication on learning throughout the day. Payment is also done through brightwheel. I am a firm believer in you pay for what you get. I wouldn't get discount Lasik and I'm not sending my child to a discount daycare. It isn't cheap but well worth it. The teachers are top notch and deserve all of the praise in the world. The assistant in my daughter's room can do things with toddler hair that I didn't think was possible. Nearly everyday my daughter comes home with a new adorable hairdo but she won't sit still for us to even make an attempt. Haha.

We are so happy to be part of the Mi Casita community, 5 stars, hands down, best decision for our young learner!

Hands down best Preschool in Philadelphia. The fact that it's a Spanish Immersion preschool makes it even better. It's a win win! Georgina and her team focus on project based learning. We are of Nigerian background and speak Igbo at home. I speak conversational Spanish and am able to practice with my child at home. All the families are super friendly and are always planning a gettogethers for the classes. We came from a preschool where it was more like daycare/play time. Here there's actual instruction, so much so that my 3yo is reading in English and Spanish! My family has all benefited in so many ways sending our son here. We've been thrilled with our experience over the past few months. They go on trips, walks, and have various structured activities weekly, like yoga, soccer, music class, and vegetation with Mr. Farmer. Anyone whose child attends can confirm it's a phenomenal school and environment. Georgina and her team are so caring and invested in providing the best level of care for your child. Mi Casita Ardmore IS THE BEST.

Our 4yo loves the place and he’s learning Spanish in a well designed curriculum within a diverse and supportive environment. Even when he’s a bit anxious to go to school sometimes, as soon as we drop him off he’s always happy. We are very very grateful for Georgina and her team!
