The venue is very clean, peaceful and relaxing.
Stylist Sal gave me a thorough and relaxed Shampoo & Therapeutic treatment service; it was more like a mini spa day at the salon.
Empress Toya (Owner) really did an awesome job on my crotchet passion twists. She is such a nice person with a beautiful heart.

The salon is very nice and comfortable, everyone working there is super kind and informative as well. Also, finding parking was super easy.

I booked my consultation online and it was easy and I was seen by the stylist I booked with. I came in for my sisterlock consultation and Toya was very kind and super knowledgeable. She gave me a detailed overview of sisterlocks and microlocs and answered all my questions. She evaluated my hair and lifestyle to make sure locks would be a good fit for me and also looked at what I wanted. I felt like I got everything I would have wanted out of a consultation appointment and I definitely feel safe trusting Toya and anyone who works there with my hair. I have been to other consultations at different salons where there is a huge lack of communication and information sharing and general knowledge of haircare. If you want to have your locs done by someone who not only is skilled but knowledgeable I would definitely come here. I ended getting my locks installed over a two day period and I felt completely comfortable here. My sisterlocks look beautiful and I am loving my hair, the level of care and detail that went into my hair was amazing. I have a tender scalp and sensitive skin and I did not have any pain or discomfort here. This salon really cares about you and the health of your hair. I highly recommend it. My sisterlocs were established by Toya in Jan 2021. (Pics from Feb '21) My journey has been very fulfilling. Toya makes my maintenance easy to do with online appointments, email reminders and easy checkout, I never have to worry.

All of the staff are very kind and accommodating. I usually go in when I am working from home and they are never (noticeably) annoyed when I need to plug in or take a call.

Toya knows and understands natural hair in a way that makes her my one and only recommended stylist and loctician.

Very pleased going here today- Locs re twisted by Shanika - she was awesome very professional, made sure I was comfortable and the shampooing almost put me to sleep. Definitely will go back. The staff there was very polite and the atmosphere very relaxing.

My experience was okay. I came in for a blow dry and trim. I’m also almost positive that the stylist didn’t apply a heat protectant before blow drying my hair. I’ll admit I didn’t speak up and say anything but I just thought it was common sense for a place that calls themselves a “natural hair salon”. That’s the only reason for the three stars. Otherwise it would’ve been 5 stars because my blow dry came out nice and I love that she didn’t trim too much off. She also thoroughly oiled my scalp and gave me a massage.

Update: I have decided to give this place 5 stars because after washing my hair, I really love the shape that I now have after the trim. I love it! And my curls did come back which was the main thing I was worried about.

I had a wonderful experience with Toya! She takes her time to wash and condition your hair and carefully detangles your hair. I didn't feel any pain. The natural hair products that she uses are high quality and you can see the difference in your hair. Toya is well informed about natural hair and really knows what she's doing. She was very knowledgeable and personable. Moving along to my first appointment after taking down my precious locs, her treatment left my hair super hydrated and she styled my hair the way I wanted! Empress Toya! First of all I love the name Empress. I visited the salon July 28, 2020, conveniently located in a plaza with plenty of free parking. She arrived right on time. She was kind. She told me all the products she used in my hair and explained every step of the process. Her salon is very clean, we both wore masks the whole time, and enjoyed Netflix! I felt so relaxed. I was the only client there so I didn't feel rushed. Last but not least, after a long day of sweating, my hair still looks so healthy, it's in tact, it's soft, it's neat, it's shiny, it's gorgeous! I got beautiful two strand twists and a protein treatment. If you're looking for a Natural hair doc, who is following the CDC health guidelines and mandates for covid 19, Empress Toya is it!

Great experience. Empress Toya is very personable and knowledgeable. My appointment was for a Sisterlocks consultation and test install. She answered all my questions and provided information on the service, process, and available options. This was my first time here but I felt very informed after leaving.

Since I cut my hair about a month and half ago I haven’t gone to anyone to do my hair and constantly been wearing a wig. Now I CUT MY HAIR AGAIN TODAY AND I AM IN LOVE WITH THE RESULTSSSSS.
