Hibachi of Jenkintown

Not gonna lie, it felt a little dungeon-y. But in a good way. Like it felt like the setting for some really good japanese food as well as the perfect date night setting. We went on a sunday at 6pm. We were lucky enough to get sat at our own table with our own chef . Usually parties smaller than 8 would have to share a chef. So this felt perfect for our 2 year anniversary. The wait staff was fantastic and the chef was very professional. They made us feel like we were at home. We had the Japanese fried chicken, octopus balls, steak/scallops, and salmon/shrimp. All tasted fantastic. The octopus blew me away because i didn’t know what to expect. It was probably the best taste appetizer. Don’t let the name put you off. Youll want these in your mouth, no diddy. To drink, we had the hibachi cooler and south beach. The south beach was better but both were good. Overall fantastic experience. Parking was free as they’re located in a shopping center and the location is easy to find. They have ample parking at the front and back of building. Although the back was where the actual front door is. Will definitely go again with a bigger group of friends!

I spent $98 for me and my wife and tipped 20%. So definitely affordable for a semi-casual date night.

The food is very yummy, and the staff is very nice ! The place looks so creepy though, it’s very dark and almost half abandoned looking. I’d recommend though. The fire , volcano was awesome

Wanted my kids to enjoy a hibachi style meal and they were not disappointed. It was pretty empty inside for a Saturday lunch, but that made it better for us to enjoy. The server was friendly and entertaining.

I came for dinner during the covid pandemic on August 2021. The food was served in plastic to go boxes with plastic silverware, but that didn't affect how out of this world delicious it was! I ordered the steak and scallops, and that came with 3 vegetables, rice, and a salad. The food was seasoned and cooked to perfection, I was not the least bit disappointed. The serving sizes were large; neither my friend or me cleared out plate, we both left with doggy bags. They don't have paper menus right now, they have a QR code you scan that pulls the menu up on your phone. Clean bathrooms. Friendly staff. I would recommend this restaurant and I would definitely eat here again.

they never disappoint when I go here. Food is so fresh, well seasoned, great portions. I always get the salmon and shrimp teriyaki combination platter. WELL WORTH THE $23+

They have the best food compared to Benihana in Jersey.

Our waitress was really nice & sat us down as soon as she could. The food was very good, the chef had a great sense of humor & made sure to make it enjoyable for everyone at the table. This is my 3rd time going to this location, it never disappoints!

My first time there. My friends and I enjoyed watching the chef cook in front of us. Food was very good. Long wait though. It was on a Saturday night.

It was a Birthday Dinner. The service was excellent for only one sever. Who still took over the phone orders. Ate on take out trays because of Covid. Also ,anti bacterial spray available when you arrived,and at the takeout station. 6 ft seating. Mask worn by employers. Have to make reservations in advanced. That's what we did a week ahead. Could research menu on site before arriving for any one with dietary restrictions. No service at the table,that's told to you in advance. So call ahead. Lovely place. Would go again.

I was craving Hibachi for awhile and settled on this place. We had a 40 minute wait to be seated. Once seated the food was fabulous. The cook was on point and did an awesome job. I enjoyed my experience and would go again. 👍🏾

Due to Covid-19 they had to adjust some service. Although, we didn't have the live cooking. We had the best grilled steak and shrimp served on the best rice. I ate every bit of it. Their communication also was so personable.

Was just here on Saturday for an early Valentine’s Day date with my husband. This is the first time we’ve been to hibachi since the pandemic and knew that it may be a lot different than last time - so we came with open minds. Our hibachi chef mentioned to us that he used to be in the back and also used to make sushi. Very friendly and informative but above all HE WAS AN AWESOME CHEF. This was the best food we have had at a hibachi we’ve ever had. He mentioned that they changed the rice and only used the highest grade meats and seafoods now and it showed. The flavor was rich without being drowned in sauce and the vegetables were cooked perfectly. Very impressed. Thank you all for a fantastic evening and even better left overs for lunch the next day!

Our food prep person who cooked the food on the grill is named K. He was very good. Professional, engaging, courteous and friendly.

The food catch and the first fire flame was the best part. Our server was very helpful and understanding!
