Don Giovannis Restaurant

I always order takeout from Don Giovanni, probably over ten times a month. The food is excellent. And the prices are fantastic. The ingredients used are a cut above most places in Philly. In Philly, everyone is competing to give a great meal, large portions and affordable . Don Giovanni hits on all cylinders! The upside down pizza is saucy (and damn.They have excellent sauce) and great crust. Salads are always fresh with ripe veggies. Wing dings are properly.cooked and very meaty. Mozzarella sticks are always properly.vooked and never blown out.

Yhe other things i really.lile.is they use their own employees to deliver the food. No Doordash or Uber eats bull. And you will always have plenty of leftovers because portions are great.

Last night I decided to branch out and get the shrimp fra diavolo. It was some of the vest I've ever had. Big thabk you to.the employees at Don's who make this possible, our Family will continue to patronize your business!

I like their Philly cheese steak pizza very well done they do a nice job..it just can't be beat

My first time here, Kind of dirty looking, waiters are 3 1/2 stars.... BUT!!! The food is delicious and they are genorus with their portions (I had pasta), the price is reasonable. They have bathroom, parking is curb side and you must feed the meter (I use the PPA parking app). All though it looks kind of dingy, I highly recommend this place.

Cheesesteaks are prbly Top 3 for me that ive found in this city, same with the pizza!!! I found this place from GrubHub and it's now our go-to place. We order from here once a week, I don't even bother with other places anymore and that's saying something cuz I'm real specific and like my food to ACTUALLY taste good- this place is it.

I have been ordering from Don Giovanni for over 6 years now. I used to order from montesini and also best in town. I would say Don Giovanni and montesini are pretty much neck and neck but I now prefer Don giovanni. As far as fresh ingredients go Don Giovanni is hands down the best pizza. The sauce is nice and light, it is not weighed down by heavy spices like oregano. The tomatoes are very fresh and it has a slightly sweet taste to it, but nothing overwhelming. The cheese that they use is not overly greasy, you can tell they spend a little more for the better cheese. If you like Sicilian pizza you will really enjoy their pizza. It is one of the best that I have had outside of Jersey and the Lehigh valley. They go a little heavy on the cheese but you will hardly notice because the cheese is such high quality. Their appetizers are wonderful. The wingdings are medium sized and always cooked thoroughly and crispy. They are not the biggest wing dings but they have a beautiful breading and just enough meat for a wonderful ratio. The other thing that I really like from the appetizers is the fries with bacon and cheese. They always come out super crispy. They use straight cut fries. They are not too big or small, medium size. The thing I like about them is they always use fresh grease when they cook them and they always ensure they are cooked all the way through. The upside down pizza at Don Giovanni's is very good as well. I do prefer Ernie's paisano, but Ernie's paesano is made with provolone. This one is still made with mozzarella. As far as bang for your buck Don Giovanni's is awesome! Very fresh ingredients and they do not skimp on anything. If you're looking for a great family Pizzeria that's not going to kill your pocket and is going to come through consistently every time you should give Don Giovanni's a try. I do see some negative reviews on here but I have never had an issue in 6 years. I guess things can happen, but nothing has happened for me in 6 years. And if it did I would call them up directly and I know they would handle it. The last thing I like about them is their delivery speed and friendliness. They always deliver rather fast, we usually order on a Friday and wait no more than 35 minutes no matter what time we order. That's about it, if you live in the Northeast and you haven't tried these guys out yet they are definitely worth a shot.

Sorry. I had to revise this review. Officially this is the best pizza around. I recently stated that it's don Giovanni's and castor pizza, but now castor is overpriced and the quality has gotten worse as well as the service which is horrible, sad to see a such potential go to waste. Don Giovanni's is officially #1 on my list and I will only order from them from now on. Thank you for giving us a great taste after the new ownership.

I moved here eight years ago and I’m being honest, I’m from New York I know GOOD pizza! and their pizza is the best pizza in Philly if I had to choose, also there chicken parmigiana is very good!!BUSSIN, staff is friendly since the last 8 years nothing ever changed I highly recommend this place, it’s better the pizza Roma and Ernie’s ! …..From your best customers from levick street and elbridge street 🫶🏻❤

I'm shocked at the bad reviews I see on here. I ordered the crabcakes platter. I got baked potato broccoli A salad A big huge pasta platter and three crabcakes for 13 bucks. It was delicious !that was just one platter ! I always order off Slice. I've been ordering here now the past couple weeks a few times and never had an issue. Food always comes really fast burning hot and delicious

It was a crazy Mother's day yesterday where every major restaurant was exceptionally busy to the point that you couldn't even order a take out within a reasonable time frame to pick up.

After our last issue with Rising Sun Pizza who refused to correct a sandwich made in correctly and only offered a refund of $1 for the product our family wanted to look for another place to solicit our business with. We were longtime customers and Rising Sun Pizza of over 20 years.

We decided to try Don Giovanni's as we are told by my son that their burgers are very good. We ordered multiple pizzas multiple sandwiches and multiple side items. We did a pick up that was ready in 30 minutes as they stated. When we arrived home we found that the bacon Cheesesteak that was ordered was not made at all and instead a bacon cheeseburger was in our bag.

When I called Don Giovanni's and realize that the mistake was on there end their response was to get my address remake food that was not made at all deliver it to our house and let us keep the extra bacon cheeseburger that was inadvertently made. I have really handed over a $10 tip to the driver for bringing out food that was not ordered originally me and my house

Everything that we ate was warm delicious and the customer service was beyond what I was expecting.

We will continue to order from Don Giovanni's as a result and say goodbye to Rising Sun Pizza due to their poor response on how to handle an issue that was their fault to begin with.

Mucho kudos to Don Giovanni for our experience. It made Mother's Day a more than fitting end to a very pleasant afternoon to have a delicious meal and great customer service

Don't believe the negative reviews about cheap ingredients. They all seem to be written by the same person (perhaps their competition a few blocks away). The food was great with the old owners and still good with the new owners. I'm not much of a pizza eater so I can't judge that. However, the buffalo wings are very good as well as the cheese steaks. Seasoned to perfection and the prices are reasonable. Overall, the food is good here.

Being from South Georgia just off the Florida line, I've heard so much about "Yankee" subs and pizzas. When I lifted my first slice from the pan, the cheese kept stretching at least 2 feet (I ordered extra). The waitress (excellent young Italian gal) had brought me a fork and I used it to regain control of it and return some back to the pie. I ordered sausage (extra also) and there were 3 or 4 pieces with every bite. The crust was excellent as well as the sauce too. The cheese, etc. went nearly all the way to the edge of the crust! Sharon has been ill and ordered a ham & cheese sub. It's been quite a while since I've seen her eat so much. She said it was very good and offered me a bite. It sure was (lots of ham)! Any bad reviews you may see are no way similar to our experience. I was pleasantly surprised seeing lots of Italian fellas in and out and was mesmerized watching them slapping hands and each others' on the back and hugging. How cool!!! It was like seeing a real-life movie, not like back in Georgia at all- this restaurant's the real deal! Papa John's will never be the same.

I finally found a place with buffalo wings I actually LOVE! I'm not a picky eater but I do love quality! Pizza is great too! I've also had their sandwiches, everything is so fresh and delicious. I've worked in pizza shops my whole life so I expect courtesy and they do that very well. I had to wait a little extra on busy nights but how can I complain when I see them working as fast as they can and still manage to make my wings well done! I'm about to order from here right now actually, as soon as I submit this review! lol

The buffalo chicken cheese steak is popping and so is the buffalo pizza I never tasted any thing this amazing in my life, it definitely doesn't use cheap ingredients I don't understand why people are saying that, the costumer service is amazing, and the place is nice, neat, and clean. I would definitely recommend this place to friends, family, and every one, every time your hungry and looking for the best, premium food I would really recommend this place.

Just wanted to share that 2 days b4 Christmas eve they saved my Christmas eve dinner! I had forgotten to call and place my order with another restaurant and I called Wednesday 12/22 and was able to order chicken parm, chicken marsala , caesar salad and breadsticks for such a great price! The food was DELICIOUS , hot and ready for pick up. It was so delicious my family still can't stop talking about it. So thank you for saving my Christmas Eve and your delicious food

Best food I ever had

Been living in the area for 6 years, one of the best pizza places around. See lots of reviews about the prices being too high. Well it's probably because you are actually getting good quality pizza and not that garbage they sell for 5 bucks a pie around the corner.
