FOOD WAS GREAT! Whiting fried fish was nice and clean, no bones! seasoned and fried perfectly, the seafood salad 10/10, fried chicken breast also perfect! highly recommend.

Here's the thing about soul food...some people can make it, some can't. Jamil's Cafe CAN make IT!!! I went there HUNGRY, HUNGRY - after a long morning of work. I ordered fried whiting, yams & cabbage. Let's just say - Jamil's is on my LIST now. Everything & I do mean EVERYTHING was 🔥. I love me some fish and mine was fried perfect!!!! Because I'm greedy, I had to get some cake too. That lemon cake....babeeee it did not disappoint!!! If you haven't tried Jamil's Cafe, you should!!!

Jamil’s Cafe has amazing food!! We randomly chose to eat there while riding down Ogontz Ave and was not disappointed. The customer service was warm, the food was ready timely with about a 20 minute wait. The fried whiting and seafood is a must try! We will definitely be back; support black-owned business y’all!

I absolutely love Jamil's Cafe sooooo much,I really mean this,the food is A1 alway around the board,and their dessert is sooooo delicious,I had lemon cake which was perfect and fresh,and the strawberry crunch cake is Mt absolute favorite,I will continue to order from Jamil's until I can't anymore...🙏🙏🙏 Thank you so much for Great Quality food and dessert.....

I love Jamils Cafe and anyone close to me knows it! I haven’t gotten a chance to take pictures but when I come I get the same thing and I’m never disappointed. My order is the Fried whiting with Mac and Cabbage. It’s so good. And you can’t forget the strawberry crumble cake, I don’t know the name of it, but 10/10. All under $25. I love that it’s family owned and they are so welcoming every time. They have my support.

First and foremost I love the fact that they cook EVERYTHING FRESH TO ORDER! The serving sizes are perfectly portioned. I got the combo platter and could have definitely split it with another. Considering the fact everything is made fresh, I received my food in a very timely manner. I will definitely be recommending & visiting Jamil's Cafe again in the near future!

I learned about Jamil's Cafe on a friend's FB post and decided to try it. Although I had to call a few times to get through to place my order of wings and shrimp platter, mac 'n cheese and green beans with a side of six fried shrimp, it was an easy pick up.
The food was ample- portioned, well cooked and seasoned. It was enough to share with family friends!
My next platter a few days later was a fried whiting fish platter with mac 'n cheese, greens and a side of four fried shrimp.
The fish was a bit salty, but otherwise well cooked and flavorful.
It was an easy pick up after having to make repeated calls to get through to place the order.
I like Jamil's for the food and the well-portioned value!

A group of my friends ordered from Jamil’s for our Galantine’s event. I called in my order, which was taken patiently by a polite young lady. She reviewed the order twice and she agreed to put names on each of the platters since it was a 5 person group order. Each of us enjoyed our food and stated we would definitely order again.

I arrived at about 3:10pm to pick up my food, which I ordered at 2:24pm. When I arrived I was politely greeted and told that my order wasn’t ready yet. I sat down to wait. Around 3:25pm I was told my order was ready and they started to bag it up. I asked for a itemized receipt so my friends would know what they owed me. After about 5 minutes I realized a young lady was handwriting a receipt. Because my food was ready and I had already been waiting, I told her never mind bc it looked like it would take her another 10 minutes to write the receipt out. I appreciated her taking the time to write the receipt neatly, but it was just taking too long.

The young lady checked my order as she continued to bag it and realized that my order of fries were missing. I waited another 5 minutes or so for fries. A gentleman came from the back to apologize for the wait and offered me a free dessert.

I finally left around 3:40pm. I definitely would frequent Jamil’s again. I do suggest they figure out a smoother pick up process. My food was ready for 15 minutes before I was able to leave.

I’m still giving 5 stars because the food was good and they were all very polite.

Food was great! I ordered the fried whiting and was happy when my fish arrived still crispy and not soft from the steam. There are so many things I can eat here which is usually hard to find at a soul food restaurant (pescatarian). I was even more impressed with the customer service. I ordered from doordash and the driver forgot part of my order. I called the store and there was an immediate offer to make sure I got the rest of my order. Jamil's is a definite favorite now!

AMAZING!!! Going here was the best decision I made since moving here. They made me feel at home and the food is well priced! It looks very clean and orderly. Highly recommend. Food taste as good as it smells (: The desserts are yummy.

A little slow but absolutely worth the wait. The food is delicious and the customer service was friendly and courteous. Both platters we ordered were seasoned perfectly. The peach cobbler was just amazing. It's about 45 minutes for me to drive here but it's worth the trip and you get good portions with reasonable prices.

I went there for delivery, they were very respectful and kind. Will recommend at all cost!

I’m not new to Jamils cafe. I used to order from his truck. I’ve been ordering a lot now thru Grubhub. The first time I ordered whiting and shrimp combo. The lady called and asked if it was ok to substitute my fish with swai because they ran out of mine. I said sure and I’m glad I did. That fish was so good and seasoned and breaded to perfection. It was so so good. The shrimp were also good. I just think they could be a little bigger. I ordered it again and same great taste. Same sides as always, potato salad and Mac and cheese and both were delicious. Next time I tried the fried wings and omg they were so good too. The crunchiness and the flavor were just so good. You could tell they were fresh and cooked in fresh oil ijs. Overall, the customer service over the phone was great and the Grubhub drivers were nice and friendly and Delivered my food while still hot. I will definitely order again.

This place is all that. I treated my family to dinner so we had a big order. This is not my first time eating here and I even had his food when he was cooking out of the truck, but what really makes them extra special is when I got home with my order I was missing some items. I called the store and stated the problem and guess what Jamil himself brought the missing items to my house. Now you tell me what store has Coustmer Service like that. Thank you again and y’all go and support this business

Food is amazing!! Done in a timely manner, hot, fresh, great packing. & Great customer service, Jamil himself gave me and my mom free cake because we seen him and told him the food was 10/10! I would definitely recommend for great soul food that taste like grandmas cooking lol

strawberry crunch cake…..My Lord!! This is definitely on my top 5🤗

Excellent food - ordered the whiting & salmon. It was all very good. The string beans were also outstanding. I will definitely be ordering again!
