The Stray Dog Tavern

I came here because I saw the new vegetarian menu they recently added and I was not disappointed! The vegetarian Gouda Mac & Cheese was delicious, I devoured it. My family also enjoyed the Chicken Pot Pie and Vegetarian Gnocchi. The bread that came with the Gnocchi was fresh and plump! The French Fries reminded me of McDonald fries without the salt (this is a compliment!!). Our waitress Lisa was wonderful. She was attentive, patient, and friendly. She gave us our space but always made sure we were content. We also loved how warm it was inside!

New to the area and have been enjoying trying all the "new to us" places. So far the Stray Dog has been our favorite! Awsome fun outside bar with live music on the weekends. The bartenders here are excellent... shout out to Shane! The food is delicious as well. I recommend their burgers, wings, or brick chicken. You really can't go wrong with anything here. The inside is nice as well, it's set up like an old Irish pub with many rooms and dark wood floors and a wood bar. It's such an injustice that this place has a 3.8 star rating because that is simply just not the case. 5 stars from me!

The Stray Dog Tavern truly impressed me with their amazing chicken! The flavors were delightful, and the chicken was perfectly cooked, tender, and juicy. It's definitely a must-try dish at the tavern! The ambiance and service were also excellent, making it a great overall dining experience. Highly recommended!

My family stopped in for lunch and everything was delicious. The menu had a lot of options and they have a large beer selection. The tomato pie, pretzel, and deviled eggs were great. One of the best tomato pies I have tried!

The steak sandwich was great, but I had to use a fork and knife as it is 2 larger uncut pieces of steak, but still amazing.

First time at location since new name/ownership change, was previously Justin's Carriage House. Similar cozy atmosphere, great service as usual. Menu is very unique, a gourmet take on classic pub food, everything sounded delicious. Ordered the brisket pizza and swordfish skewer special and both came out great looking and better tasting, made me want to come back and try everything else on the menu. Great for a casual bite, would absolutely reccomended!

Stopped in on a whim w/mom. Love all the wood and good vibe. Just wanted a beer and wow what a beer menu - draft and bottles/cans. Nice little happy hour menu, too. The bartender, Rachel, is so friendly and attentive. Wish we'd have been hungry as the options sound delicious. Nice man when we were leaving let us know how to avoid stairs for next time because we'll be back for sure.

I stopped in for lunch one afternoon and found a hidden gem. Food was excellent, service was excellent, the decor very pleasing and relaxing. There is a full service bar both inside and outside. The outside bar has a heated patio, a beer garden and there also is a tented area on the back lawn. They have several inside rooms. Plenty of parking plenty of handicap parking the entrance is handicapped-accessible but not the bathrooms they are small and will not allow room for a wheelchair if necessary. What a great place for lunch dinner date private Gathering good selection of wine TVs in the inside bar and I believe there is TVs at the outside bar as well. I'm so glad they were able to survive all the restrictions of covid-19 and are up and running. definitely worth stopping in !

Great beer list and the food was very good. Service was oddly slow for a Thursday even though we went at around 6:15. Not a deterrent at all and I would go again.

My friend and I decided to stop for lunch our first time here I got a chicken cutlet and a vodka martini and my friend got roast turkey sandwich and salted Carmel cocktail everything was delicious. I'm giving a shout out to our waiter Tyler he was so kind and patient and a lot of fun I will definitely be returning with family and friends hopefully Tyler will wait on us he's a doll.

The food was delicious.
With the bar in 2 rooms & the crowd & the music on Friday night, it was a bit too noisy for our liking.

Marlene is an amazing bartender. The food is really delicious. Great place to go. The only downfall is parking. Place looks packed because of Skippack, but the restaurant has plenty of seats open. A must try place.

The food here is always good the drinks are always on point. I heard Dan's leaving He's going to be missed. If you haven't been here for some food or some good Belgium beer I would definitely suggest that you visit

Every time I go here, it has been fun! The food is great, and so are the bartenders. The beet salad is amazing, yummy!!

Best thing about The Stray Dog Tavern for me: flip over the menu and it says "Vegetarian" at the top of the page. Half of the menu is vegetarian options! The food is excellent.

First time there and Marlene gave us excellent service. She makes an amazing long island ice tea. The boneless wings were tender and juicy and light breaded. Very good. We will be back. Great atmosphere

First time here and it started off horrible but ended great! We went to the outside bar where we were insulted by the bartender Dan. He was rude and inappropriate. He called me an idiot when I asked questions then said I was absurd. We decided to go inside, the bartender Rachael was completely opposite. She was sweet, made THE BEST COCKTAIL IVE EVER HAD and made our experience a great one. She was very busy but took the time to apologize on her coworkers behalf, bought us a round of beer, answered all question I had but most importantly gave us outstanding service. While waiting for our food Dan came in and gave us a mean look and said I bet you feel more comfortable here, surrounded by other idiots. Seriously? This creep should be fired. Regulars at the bar told us that that’s just how Dan is and he does it to a lot of people. Other notes are that the food was superb absolutely perfect in every way ! we will be coming back!

Outside bar ROCKS! Fried shrimp are fantastic. And we brought our stray puppy with us!

Best Reuben sandwich I've ever had. They make and smoke the pastrami in house and it's great. Very chill vibes but with great food.

Wow!! Their patio is best al fresca experience in Skippack. Fridays and saturdays live music! Menu is full of so many good options and portions are generous. Wings are sauced and delicious. Salads are freaking out of this world. The char grilled pear salad was so amazing. They really put love into the food and it shows in every dish. Erica was a wonderful server! So vibrant and exciting as well as helpful! Definitely my new summer minglin spot :)

Met a friend there for lunch, first time for me. Menu is quite deverse. I got a grilled tomato and cheese sandwich, it was delicious!
