This happy space outside the Marketplace and Chestnut Hill Hotel - with fountains, firepit, and expert landscaping year round -always invites me to stay a little longer. This time, we spotted a tile “baby face” and would love to know its origin.

Been going here since it opened.
Fantastic poultry, eggs, meats and sooo much more including , homemade chocolates, great creative bakery, deli, produce, and many more ethnic surprises.
Enjoy!”

Great local farmers market. Fresh produce, a chocolatier, fresh meats, fresh fish, full meals, meals to go, Chestnut Hill Brewery even a place to get knives sharpened (kosher sharpening available). It's behind the Chestnut Hill Hotel. Not readily visible from Germantown Ave. Entrance to parking is off of Southampton, even though the Market at the Fareway has Germantown Pike address.

Note: Google hours are incorrect. See the pic. Thurs & Friday 9 to 6, Saturday 8 to 5.2

Between the Lavender Lemonade from Poppy’s Cafe. The sticky bun from Barry’s Buns. And some beef and chicken dumplings from Momo I barely had the forethought to snap a picture. lol All the food is phenomenal and the space is welcoming. That’s just a comfortable, wondering air about the place for me that I cannot compare to anywhere.

This is like a small Reading Terminal full of small businesses. No matter what you're in the mood for, you can find it here!! Add to that there isn't a shop here that doesn't treat you with the utmost respect and care.

100% recommend!!!

I used to come here years ago and bring my mom for fresh meats. I haven't been here in years and was pleasantly surprised at the look, the atmosphere, and the choice of markets and vendors. I tried the soul food place, which I will do a separate review on, but the highlight of this visit was......Barry's Bun's!! If you want a great dessert etc,....this is the place to go! I will be back to the Market for other things! Great place! Check it out!!!

Barry Bun's acts on excellence. They offer fresh baked offerings. The price is right. The service is on point. The sticky buns are soft, sweet and satisfying. They are abundant and for you if you want it. Chocolate chip cake, cookies, and goods galore. That was my reason for visiting this market. The place is close, warm, and inviting for,any of your food needs.

Great local market place little quiet than downtown city Philadelphia. Have amazing Beer options and loved their Pizza's. Great place to go on a date.

Very adequately heated outdoor setting with ambiance. Host was attentive re: our comfort, coming to our conversational grouping to ask whether we were warm enough.Food was delicious... including the pizza and mushroom toast. All waitstaff were good.

1st time here and it was amazing. The pastries are out of this world. Food is fresh and tasty. The people are super nice and caring. So many awesome human beings can to my mothers aid when she fell. Thank you so much! Looking forward to my next visit to enjoy the outdoor scenery.

My wife and I had been to the previous incarnation of this market many times, but everything changed about 6 years ago apparently. Now, there is an outdoor garden for sitting and eating, the atmosphere is pleasant, and our friends at Momos of Tibet have a stand inside. That's what we really came for.

But what a lovely place to sit outside in the shade on a warm day near the end of summer! Good crowds, pleasant dogs visiting outside. We really enjoyed our visit, and expect to go back.

Stopped here for lunch while visiting our son in Philadelphia. Different counters with variety of foods. I like to try different things and had bubble tea for the first time at a little Asian place in the market. It was sweet flavored and had black balls of tapioca in. Prob not something I would go get again but was fun to try it. There was coffee, ice cream, bakery items and meals. Recommend!

Having been to many big cities with similar markets, this was a nice find in a small town. Great food and drink options and it was nice to have table service in a market. A++

Great collection of places to eat - I have to think even the pickiest eater could find something there. It also has some specialty goods (ex: natural cosmetics stand).

The only downside is that they're not open everyday but definitely a good place to go for Saturdays.

I am torn to posting about this jewel in Chestnut Hill. I just don't want everybody to swarm in. This market has some outstanding vendors for top of the line meat, poultry, cuts and vegetables.. I drive 35 minutes to get there, willingly. I love the place. Service is top notch

I love the Market at the Fareway! Small but busy busy busy especially on the weekends. Niedermeyers for poultry *****, Rices for meats *****, Barry's Buns for fun*****, Chicko Tako ***** for asian food (best dumplings and Korean Street tacos), Poppy's for coffee*****(and Stocks pound cake), and the Produce stand is a must hit (they even have scotch bonnet peppers). Also stop by for a local brew and pizza at Chestnut Hill Brewery! Enjoy! Shop local!
