Briggs' Tavern

Went to Briggs' after reading the article in the Express-Times. The patio is truly terrific-very warm and intimate on a very cold day. We liked that there was no music playing, just the sound of conversation. It was a nice change from other restaurants where conversing requires competing with bad music. Loved the fact that there was no tv!

The broiled fish with crab was delicious. The soup of the day was tomato and was excellent and very different than most. MA's potatoes are a must. The pork chops and the starter salad were also excellent. We wished that there were more side dish (vegetable options)

Emily, our server, was very attentive and accommodating.

An all-around good experience.

Local bar, catering mostly to the neighborhood crowd. Good line up of beers, both on tap and bottles. Food was average for a tavern. Our chef's salad was decent, fried calamari was fishy, chicken wings were the best dish of the night, hot and crispy.
Service at the bar was acceptable. We saw others who sat at the dining area had to wait for food and drinks for some extended time. May be they are still working out the kinks. Whatever it is, they need to get it fixed before people stop trying to go there.

Service not very good at all - come on people Smile and greet your patrons, keep your eyes on drinks ask if we’d like another or if we need anything else ! No wonder the place down the street was packed and this joint was empty- Food was just ok

Seems to be a pattern here with HORRIBLE service. The staff seemed annoyed that they had a full bar and people were requesting drinks. What do you think would happen at a BAR on a Saturday night? I hope ownership is aware because they lost a LOT of money last night. My entire group of 10+ out celebrating birthdays left to patronize a different bar because 1. It was taking 30+ min to get a drink (not food, just a drink) and 2. As more people were joining us they didn’t even acknowledge their existence. It’s inexcusable.

If you want a beer and your fried food appetizer within an hour, don't come here.

Absolute pathetic attempt at running a restaurant.

Waited an hour and 15 minutes for 6 basic sandwiches, and we were 1 of the 5 tables. The other 2 tables were seated for 30 minutes without even getting water.

I would have understood the wait if the place was packed, but it seemed like the poor waitress was on her own and the bartender was just there to have a good time. As for the cooks, no clue, could have been bringing in the food from Wawa for all I know.

We won't be going back. This review received 1 star because Google made me. Otherwise, 0 stars.

This guy is a slumlord. Best advice is to stay away from his properties they are infested with bugs.
