My family and I recently had the experience of working with Schmidt Funeral Home during the passing of our mother/grandmother. Both Jane and Patti guided my family through a rough time with both understanding and empathy, ensuring that what we had chosen met our needs and went off without a hitch. As a result of our positive experience, I highly recommend Schmidt Funeral Home to anyone in need of funeral services. Thanks again to the staff for taking exceptional care of us throughout this journey.

Schmidt Funeral Home has handled my family's needs for a number of years with the utmost and unsurpassed care. When my brother passed away out of state, they handled all the details to bring him home and create the best experience under the circumstances. Jane was very patient with all of us in trying to decide what we wanted and the day of the service was beautiful. In a time of grieving and shock, we had a very caring staff to help us along the way. We will be using their services again!

This post is made by Annette Geiter (not Kleedorfer due to email), and I'm the wife of James Geiter. He was buried by Schmidt Funeral Home, as well as many many past family members. Jane, the funeral director and her associates, are the epitome of professionalism and empathy. They exceeded our family's expectations and patiently worked with my family on any and all issues that arose. I can not speak highly enough of this company and the employees who make one feel so welcome and comfortable.

With all our regards and love,

The Geiter and Schneck Family

Our Aunt's passing was a difficult time for us. Jane and Patti were amazing at helping us through this challenging time. They showed great compassion, were so kind, and navigated us through each step flawlessly. From the moment that we contacted them through the celebration of life service everything went smoothly. They were able to take a lot of the stress off of our family. We can't thank them enough for being so caring and so professional.

After the passing of my loved one a year ago, Schmidt Funeral Home was recommended by a family member who had a very good experience. In the throes of the pandemic, I delayed the services so everyone who wanted to attend could, based on the state capacity mandate.

From my initial visit one year ago to the final services this past weekend, the funeral director, Jane Follweiler, and her staff embraced me and my family. Every call was returned immediately. She researched and answered every question, as I had services spanning two states.

The Schmidt Funeral Home staff is professional, respectful and compassionate. I'm forever grateful for the gracious service that our family received during one of the most difficult times of our lives.

After reading the one negative post by a person with an obvious agenda I feel compelled to make this post. Schmidt Funeral Home in Nazareth has been used by my family for decades and has always done so with the expertise and professionalism that exceeded expectations. Even though it has changed ownership it still continues its stellar tradition . unfortunately a few years back I had to use their services for my wife and can personally attest to this. I also know many , many others who gave been more than pleased with their services. I have never heard of anyone dissatisfied.

The care, warmth, empathy, and compassion that Jane showed us at Schmidt cannot be put into words. She has a very soft way of approaching caring for your loved ones that made us feel very comfortable during a very hard time for our family. I would give 6 stars if i could.

I would recommend Schmidt Funeral Home to anyone. From the time we made arrangements for our funeral up to my loved one's passing everyone could not do enough for us. Jane, Patti and Alex - THANK YOU.

I would not lay a loved one to rest with this funeral home, even if I was poor and they offered to pay for the entire service and procession. This place disrespected the deceased by prohibiting friends of that person entry in to their funeral home to pay respect. The vile human beings who operate this funeral home took away numerous people's chance to give their respect to a friend one last time, and allowed family members to play gatekeeper at what was a funeral open to the public, as stated in the local newspaper. This place also seems to think they have ownership over public parking spaces, as they asked others to remove themselves from the curb where parking was set up for the automobile procession, and even after they cooperated by taking the signs off their car, were still asked to move at the threat of towing the vehicle, even though it was parked at a public curbside. To no avail, the business also contacted the police to come and see that all people were trying to do was get one last moment with their deceased friend, before the police communicated that "nothing was going on here, I'm leaving". So all in all, Schmidt Funeral Home in Nazareth, Pennsylvania is not only a place to stay away from when choosing a place to care for your loved one after their death, but a place that you shouldn't even attend funerals.

I wish I could leave zero stars.
Unprofessional, uncaring, and not there for a family who is grieving. This is just another “business”, who is not passionate about the work they do or caring about the families they serve.
We were asked to take our own family members finger prints for a necklace because they “couldn’t do it”.
Our entire experience was disappointing, unsettling and unnerving during a time of grief.
