Active Learning Centers: Palmer

ALC Palmer feels like home as soon as you walk into the building. My one year old loves his teachers and so do I! I am constantly impressed with the engaging activities in the one year old room as well as the healthy and creative snacks they provide each day. I kept my son home for the first year and honestly thought no daycare would be good enough for me. There’s always a smiling face available, even at the busiest time of day. The director and assistant directors are attentive and caring. It is clear to see that the facility functions under strong leadership because procedures are well established. I’m so grateful that we found ALC Palmer!

It was terrifying for me to think about leaving my 4 month old baby with anyone, let alone people who aren’t family. The great thing about ALC is they treat your child like family. I couldn’t have asked for a better daycare experience being a first time mom. The teachers are incredible and get to know your child because they genuinely care and I love the intimate classroom sizes- your child is not just a number. It is such a relief to know your little one is in good hands :)

Finding a place I felt safe and comfortable enough to send my son to was one of the most overwhelming and nerve racking decisions I’ve ever had to make. I called so many daycare/school centers and nothing felt quite right until I called the Active Learning Center! They were so understanding and more than willing to work with me and my schedule. The same week I called to inquire about their facility they welcomed me and my family with open arms and allowed us to schedule a tour and learn all about ALC and how they care for our children. I was so pleasantly surprised to see how clean, well maintained and full of color and love the facility was when we went in for the tour. I knew right then and there that this was the best place to send my son. Everyday since, they’ve proven me right! The staff and teachers at ALC are all wonderful and they truly care about everyone who joins the ALC family! My son absolutely loves attending Active Learning Center’s Palmer location and he is truly thriving! I feel incredibly lucky to have found such a great place to care for my son!

My children have been attending ALC for years now. We started as full time pre k, and have evolved into drop in care for school holidays and full time summer camp. The staff in the classrooms and in the office are some of the kindest most patient people I've run across. My youngest, who is so incredibly shy, was so resistant on the idea of going when we first started. Ciara, her teacher (now one of the assistant directors) won her over immediately, and ALC quickly became a place she looked forward to going daily. When my daughter started Kindergarten, she was at a learning level well beyond her peers thanks to a great program in Pre K.

Years later, my children have grown close to many of the teachers there, and some we consider to be like family. I know I can always count on my kids having a great day there, and I have peace of mind that they are in a safe environment.

My grandson has been going to Active Learning Center since he was an infant. He loves the staff and they are so very loving to him. Now 2 years old, he knows all his colors, can count to 11 and washes his hands after a diaper change. He has learned how to play by himself or with others in a positive way. We love ALC!

This is hands down the best environment for my kids to learn and grow, hands down. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure my kids are getting the best care possible, and always notify me about even the littlest issue. Having children in daycare can extremely stressful, but with the staff here, there are no worries. The staff grows to be family. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

We switched to ALC Palmer from another local center when our son was 3. Such a noticeable difference in his behavior within the first few weeks. He is now 5 & thriving in their care! I'm excited to be sending our daughter in a few months & see her flourish there as well.

ALC Palmer has been absolutely wonderful for both my kids! We love having a safe, clean, fun environment to bring them to that they have been thriving in for well over a year now. Would recommend to anyone!

Our daughter has been attending the new Palmer ALC location since October. She loves it there! The staff is friendly and helpful. The teachers have thoughtful lesson plans and the plans are emailed once a week with photos of what the students did during the week. Our daughter is also involved in the little ninjas karate program. She loves the karate teacher, who is so very patient and kind. We are so pleased we switched the ALC!

As stressful and overwhelming it is a parent to find the best place for your little one to spend the day when you are at work, I am beyond happy about my decision to send my son to Active Learning Center in Palmer, PA. Over this past school year, I have watched four year old son grow in his social skills, his vocabulary, his interest in stories and characters, his patience, and his overall appreciation for learning and being with other kids. His teacher is unbelievable, she is so patient and kind. The director, Megan, who I know personally, is one of the best people I know...always willing to help and see her ALC students succeed. The staff has been nothing but helpful and cooperative with me when I need them. My son LOVES going to school and nothing makes me happier than hearing him eagerly tell me about his day when I pick him up. I highly recommend Active Learning Center, it is the best decision that I made. :)

Active learning center in Palmer is fantastic. They are super reliable, especially in the winter with snow days. They are open on days that other centers are typically closed. I love it and my daughter is happy here. We tried a childcare center in the past and my daughter was always sad when I dropped her off and happy to leave at the end of the day. She also seemed to get sick constantly. Since we have been coming to Active learning center on most days she is happy when I drop her off and sometimes does not want to leave. She’ll tell me that she wants to go to daycare when we’re home or that she wants to play with her friends. The teachers and staff are all great. They know your name and treat you like a friend. I smiled when I walked in to pick up my daughter one time and heard the teacher tell her that she loved her as she gave her a goodbye hug. It’s great to know that the staff at ALC actually care about the kids. My daughter has learned so much since being at ALC. She comes home singing songs, talking about the things the teachers did for her, and about her friends. She did a gymnastics course, she has weekly karate, and she is currently enrolled in the soccer class. She will soon be moving into a preschool classroom and I will certainly miss all the teachers, but I am confident that her new teachers will be great as well. 😊👍

My son has been at ALC Palmer for the past five months, and we are very pleased with his education, and care. He has learned so much in his short time here, in both the older toddler and Pre-School rooms. His vocabulary has grown tremendously, and I'm impressed by his manners (which are definitely being reinforced at school). We're grateful he loves his school and has so much fun learning. As a parent, I love the communication from the center with updates and photos daily/weekly. I also appreciate the care they give to make all their ALC families feel welcome!

ALC is a great daycare! I switched my daughter to them as soon as they opened and am so happy I did. The staff is great and my daughter is excited to go everyday! Love their karate program and my daughter has learned so much since I enrolled her. Thank you ALC staff for giving me piece of mind that my daughter is in good hands and safe while I'm working!

I can not stress enough how grateful I am for ALC. My children go there and they love it. The staff is very hands on with the children. My three year old does pre-k here and has learned so much. The hours work well with my work hours and the director Megan is the sweetest. I can go on and on with nothing but great things to say about the staff and curriculum. I wouldn't send my kids anywhere else. ALC gives me peace of mind knowing that my kids are in good hands while I am at work.

If you want a place to send your kids that will make you feel comfortable and know they are taken care of, GO HERE! The staff is kind and attentive. It was my first time sending my kids (almost 2 and 4) to daycare and they make you feel right at home. I can call and check on them at anytime. If you need daycare in the Lehigh Valley I would highly recommend ALC Palmer. The director Megan is awesome, call her today!

We have 3 children that attends ALC and it's a great center.
The staff are extremely warm and welcoming to the children which creates a great environment.
All of them are learning so much and are loving the field trips they have been going on this summer.
This is the only day care that has really thought out the summer activities for the children and
paid attention to the details of combining safety and fun..
Way to go ALC!
