Wayside Inn

So I’m travels a friend and I stopped here. First off the gentleman waiting on us was a great. We asked for suggestions band he said the two things he never lies about is food and booze. He recommended a burger and we went wilt the bunker hill bacon burger with fries. He didn’t lie what a great burger and it was fresh ground meat not a frozen patty. I suggest stopping and having a a burger. Great place!!!! Great burger!!!

I typically have some sort of chicken when I visit the Wayside, this time around I got a shrimp flat bread and it was delicious! For many reasons our family loves the Wayside. My kids are super fans of their chicken tenders and hate any other kind. We even take them with us on vacation. Cheers!

The service, beer and bessssssst wings I’ve had on the entire East coast. I’m from jersey, we ride atvs at AOAA and then drink and eat here and I look forward to it every time. Football on all tvs, always good beer on tap, best wings ever. I dont know how this place gets anything less than a 5 if your expectations are right.

A friend had her birthday there. The staff was fantastic and the food was great. A great place for events of 60 people or less.

The last time I was here was in 1979 when it was not much more than a restaurant and small banquet facility. Today it is a sports bar with outside seating; practically unrecognizable. It definitely has a bar-feel to it, without losing its family-friendliness. The pictures on the wall indicate that this is Penn State and Philly sports country. We came for lunch, and were not disappointed with our sandwiches and generous portion of fries (for an upcharge). Prices were pretty reasonable. Our server was easy going and friendly. It would be fun to check this place out on a Friday or Saturday night to get a better sense of the local flavor, because I think this is where it's at.

Stopped twice for lunch just traveling through. 1st time was so good, well here we are again. Owner is a laid back cool Dude. I can only imagine the fun here on a Friday or Saturday Night. Outdoor seating and looks to have live music quite often.

I had a BLT and he had the special which was a turkey and watermelon sandwich. The bacon on my BLT was delicious and he absolutely loved the special! The beer was ice cold and the service was fast and friendly!

This is always a nice place to stop by. They offer different specials our favorite is wing night. They have many options to choose from. Also, they have indoor and outdoor seating.

This combination of services available is unlike any I've seen. It handles every interest you could look for in entertainment. It's a combo sports bar, restaurant, outside tiki bar, dine-in seating for privacy or group functions, and it's an event hall that handles a large crowd for functions(weddings,reunions,etc...) All that with motel rooms available upstairs to boot! It literally caters to every possible situation your looking for. It's like one building with multiple businesses on location. It's operated by a long tenured staff, management, and ownership all true professionals. It's truly the class act of the Shamokin, Coal Township, and Paxinos area. It's a must stop to see!

We love coming to the wayside whenever we are in the area visiting family. Great food, great atmosphere, great staff!

Always a good destination for a bike ride bar maid's are always very pleasant beer is always cold usually have a band or something outside very fun place to hang lot outside seating.

This place is fun, great food and good friends.
Only downfall is that the establishment does not allow Motorcycle Clubs to be allowed to wear colors or cuts.

While waiting for my lady to finish an appointment at Shamokin hospital I was looking for a place to go and have a meal. Wayside Inn came up as one of the nearby restaurants and I realized that I have driven past it for years but never stopped in. I had heard from other folks that the food was good so there was no time like the present to give it a try. We were not disappointed! We both ordered varieties of their bbq sandwiches. Very good pork BBQ! The service was good and we will definitely be eating here again.

We attended a Christmas party here and the meal was a Turkey dinner served family style. The setting was very tastefully decorated, the food was great, and the service excellent. Can't wait to try the dining room since we were in the banquet room. Two thumbs up!!

Oh well I love the wings here. I'm sure their other food is also delicious-but i always get the sweet fire wings!! Best flavor ever too! I came on a Thursday, realizing Tuesday is their wing night, but its so packed Tuesdays its crazy. That just means their awesome in my book!! At least coming on an off night means I can also enjoy other things, like the atmosphere, my company and thoroughly enjoy my food too😁

Adorable family orientated place. I had a Great time. Even won a gift card. 1st time going there. Made friends. Despite being from Brooklyn welcomed me with open arms. Wow. It was a fundraiser chili tasting event for a. Football team.

The Wayside is a wonderful place to eat. It has a friendly atmosphere with an even friendlier waitstaff. It has a decent sized menu with options to please the whole family. Our 2 yearold enjoys the kids chicken finger basket with fries. The Wayside has always been quick to bring out meals after ordering and you never leave hungry! Check out this casual, friendly joint.
