Amazing selection of trees, some quite rare. Super clean with lots of shade to relax in, and big enough that you can find a quiet space of your own. Wonderful place to collect your thoughts. There is also a natural place space for kids, and an old school concrete turtle not to be missed!

McMichael Park, a serene green space in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was established in 1929 and is named after Morton McMichael, who served as the Mayor of Philadelphia from 1866 to 1869. He was also the first President of Philadelphia’s Fairmount Park Commission from 1867 to 1879. The park, located at 3300 Midvale Ave, offers outdoor recreation and nature preservation, maintained by the Philadelphia Parks Department. It’s a place where the community can engage with nature and enjoy open spaces. The park’s history is further enriched by the discovery of numerous Indian artifacts, indicating that it was once the location of an Indian village. McMichael Park continues to be a vital part of the city’s park system, providing a peaceful retreat for residents and visitors alike.

Love the area. Always live about a mile or 2 away. My children love the swings, especially the hammock swing and the jungle area is a good place for them to make friends. If you want to take your kids to a nice piece full playground then this is it. There are usually people having picnics, doing yoga, and/or playing with their dogs in the dog park area.

One of my favorite places to walk and jog in the area. Park is clean, well maintained and offers play area for the kids as well. Side walk is perfect for walk, jog. McMichael Park is now a routine for many than just a park. Hats off to people who clean and maintain it.

Overall decently sized park, with a playground that is around medium to small sized and a huge area for picnicking/playing games like frisbee.

Newly installed natural wood and metal playground is amazing. Balance beam, ninja wall, and the spider web. Surrounding wall is great for balancing on and wide comfortable benches. So much nicer than the plastic generic stuff found elsewhere. I wish more local parks had this much natural construction in their playgrounds.

The park is small, beautiful, calming and peaceful. It's a great place to just sit and "ponder" things...when you have time to kill.

This is what I call a thoughtfully planned and innovatively designed children's playground. From its soft safe surface and adventure themed climbing frames, right through to the smaller toddler friendly items on site. Large grassy area with paths, trees and benches conducive to creating a "close to nature" and friendly sociable atmosphere for families. A place for various neighbourhood fun activities from pleasant warm summer days through to and including the leafy autumnal and cold crisp weeks of winter.

My grandchild's birthday party was celebrated here. It was GREAT! Grounds were clean, the playground apparatus were made of all natural materials and beautiful. Lots of shade trees to keep cool on a warm day. Great place.

Simple creative fun for the whole family. Children can run, relax and reflect upon the beautiful natural creation that surrounds the . With towering trees, open grasses, and no rigid controlled play structures, this park is all about truly enjoying a park in the most basic and simple of ways. It is not at all loud and my children, my wife and I always have an excellent time as we step outside of our typical busy city lives, even if only for a moment.

Nice place. Some Neighborhood folks need to get over themselves & let it fall into the 21st century of...”ALL children are welcome here!” The whole “this is my park” is just old.
And....if ya have a meet up set up at the turtle and another family comes by...please don’t tell that family they can’t play there bc they weren’t invited to the play group....that’s just not nice
But, besides the Tom foolery us a parents exhibit...the park itself is beautiful & cozy!
Love to walk the dog through...and that’s about it!🤣

Decent up-kept urban park. Fun for all, plenty of parking, bus route, and walking distance to main street. Nothing fancy, but new playground equipment, fun for all ages.

Beautiful, decent-sized, & fairly unique neighborhood park. No paths & no playground - just grass, trees, plants, benches, & plenty of room to do whatever it is you feel like doing.
