Very small but quaint campground with clean facilities. Nice trails for hiking along with a nice lake for fishing. Only bad point, do not pull up to the office towing your camper, you will bottom out.

What a beautiful place 😍. Went to the park a little later than usual. But what a spectacular place it is. Snapped a couple of pictures of the beauty of the lake. Went on a little hike through the forest. And wow !!! How beautiful this place is. Got to see the covered bridge and caboose on the grounds. Went up a long flight of stairs to view the lake. Gorgeous 🥰. But I will definitely be back to take in all of its beauty.

A free, fun, CLEAN, place for you and your loved ones to go when you have a desire to enjoy the outdoors and enjoy being together as a family too!!
The pool is GREAT for people of all ages!!! There's a small fee for the pool, cash only for a heads up (as of 08-31-2023... this may change in the future, be sure to check out the website before going)

A very nice, small state park campground. The waterpark is right beside the campground, maybe 1/4 mile away. If you are staying at the campground you get a discount for the waterpark. We will be back next year! The kids had a great time.

My husband and I visited Little Buffalo to enjoy a little fall color (turned out to be a LOT of fall color!) and were pleasantly surprised at all the park had to offer! Lots of beautiful hiking trails with plenty of signage, clean facilities, plenty of parking and family friendly attractions. We will definitely be back!

Stayed one of those little cottages with three nights. The cottage was perfect for my needs and the bathhouse is gorgeously new. All of the playgrounds the pool and lake are well maintained areas

I stayed at a Camping Cottage this weekend. I really enjoyed the Cottage. The shower house-restroom was very nice. I took my kayak out on Holman lake. It was scenic and fun. The various trails around the park were also interesting.

Great place to hike around with maximum shade from the tree canopy. A large pool awaits you after getting in a workout. Definitely a good spot for a day trip.

We camped at Little Buffalo SP campground in Sept 2021 in site 40. It had room for our tent, was nicely separate from other sites, had good cell service and was just a short walk to the bath house which was new and very clean. This is the smallest SP campground we have visited, yet was very nice, and clean. We saw 2 other sites (23 & 33) which would also be very doable for us. One plus, while 40 was not an electric site, it did have an outlet there for our air mattress, and lights could also be used if we had any. Only downside, no real good trees for hammocks. The DCNR Rangers came around every 2 hours it seemed, and were extremely friendly. I think a team of 5 guys came to clean the bathhouse. A rooster could be heard, not sure where he was from. I would say the park (which we hiked to one day, drove to to start a hike the next) is exceptional. We really enjoyed the hiking trails with nice sights along the way. There is a really nice lake (we were a week too late for boat rental), a big pool, and many spots for day trip picnics/cookouts around the park. The campground has 3 walk-in sites. They are a long way in, but once you get there they are huge, flat, shaded and well separated from each other. Definitely will return.

There are endless adventures to be had, or as I tell my kids, "adventures afoot!". This is just the place for anyone, periot! Get outside, enjoy quality time with those you love, or on your own (which is just as important*). Trails, history, fishing, hunting, parks, photo ops. Get out and have fun!

Fantastic Park. And right in one's neck of the woods.

Full of Natural beauty and quietness of a Forest. Vistas to unwind to whether ait and relax, or hike and let go.
Nice to see the Water ie. reservoir and creeks.

Pretty flora and fauna as well.

Last time went was over a year ago; just as frame of reference- sk always good to check latest Park hours and dates the Park is open.

Very nice park with walking trails, a historic covered bridge, and an 1830s mill. Free parking, and restrooms. There is a dam and a lake but we didn't go to that area. We'll come back in warmer weather and explore it some more.

This park is a gem, and I was so fortunate to have been able to join the guided hike!
This is a great place to explore and enjoy for all ages. There is a great wooden playground for the kiddies, too.
Plus, the beautiful butterfly garden was in full bloom. I had a fantastic time today!

Lovely small park perfect for kids or a quiet walk. Museum near the main road, steep hiking trail for the more physically fit and a great walking trail around the lake accessed by the parking area at the boat dock.

I call Little Buffalo State Park, Big Buffalo for the big number of activities it offers. For example, the park's pool is enhanced with water features and slides and the sight of the clear, cool water is enticing. And there's a concession stand, too. Holman Lake activities include electric motorboat launches, An ADA kayak launch, and a canoe and kayak rental. There's bass in the lake and you can pull right off Little Buffalo Road on a wide shoulder to fish next to your vehicle. For camping, there are 40 camping sites and 5 cottages in an area across from the lake. There is also a reception hall. Explore the 9 hiking trails for exercise or visit the butterfly garden and some historic buildings such as the Blue Ball Tavern off Old Park Road. The park also offers many educational and fun programs (check the DCN calendar page). Then there's the Old Fashion Apple Festival and the Christmas Trail special activities.
Winter activities included cross country skiing, ice fishing and ice skating.
Hunting is allowed during the hunting season.

I attended The Wild Women Retreat as my first experience at Little Buffalo, and I can't to return with my kiddos. I keep hearing the pool is really nice. My experience included kayaking lessons and a nature hike through the woods. The lessons were thorough and well-done, and I feel like if I had to kayak, I could do it now. We even saw bald eagles and turtles on the lake during the class. I definitely want to come back to this hidden gem!

They keep adding more and more no vehicle camp sites and they look so good. I love being able to shower in the morning after a long night by the fire. This is a staple campground for me! I will never stop coming here!
