Philadelphia License & Inspection

Let me start off by saying I didn't have the best experience with the prior 2 inspectors that came out to the property..... but I had to write a review after meeting Eric Brown from the North district, Mr. Brown was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly he answered all my questions and concerns, he showed me he was just a phone call away and showed up every time I wasnt sure about something. Mr. Brown cares about his community and thats rare these days.

My 75yo father went to lni to get a rental license and NO ONE wanted to help him! Even after he explained that he has no comprehension of their computer system and not able to read that well. He is hurt and embarrassed by these people who are supposed to be there for the community! Disgusting treatment of my father!

trying to stay compliant in philadelphia is almost impossible. no one helps and it's a big circle of sending you from one office to another. thanks city employees for not being of service to your taxpayers

Worst ever. No one wants to help. They come up with new ways to make every process even more complicated. Their systems do not work, their employees are not even on same page, their attitude only keeps getting worst. Question for employees who work in L&L and their leadership, What are you getting paid for if you don't want to do your job and help people that need help? Put your ego aside and help.

Read the reviews prior but still had to call in for a client and the reviews are pretty accurate, very incompetent and pinning issues on another department and they hung up after asking a few simple questions.

I have never seen an organization with so many employees unwilling to do their job. If you need anything done expect to make 3 trips to MSB before finally get any helpful assistance. Every issue is always another department or employees responsibility and nearly always after going to that referred to department they tell u to go back to L&I. Also the eclipse system is incredibly slow and riddled with glitches (which of course no one at L&i is able to fix).

Horrible Service Philadelphias L&I needs to be investigated by Internal Affairs this place is corrupted Ive done Research parties involved arent even qualified for the position held from HR to direct field officer/labor workers theres nothing but laziness, deception & greed Pure filth to the City of Philadelphia

The city of Philadelphia has some DEEPLY rooted systemic issues that need to be addressed probably DECADES ago. Low income communities THINK they have the help and support of organizations like L&I, The Fair Housing Commision, Councel persons offices and etc when it comes to housing and landlord issues but, it’s a catch 22. It’s disrespectful and insulting to be SO BOLD about how they handle things. Just thinking, watching and listening with “common sense,” it’s just OVERWHELMING. I think the plan is to SPIN people SO MUCH that they just give up. Not me. Making what has happened to ME public knowledge is GOALS!.. I’m heading for a platform to make people aware and HOPEFULLY root out/ BREAK the suspect under cutting system for the citizens of Philadelphia who may have to ask for assistance from these organizations. The conduct of my local offices has been VERY confusing and SUSPECT. I feel this is necessary and needed. ESPECIALLY after the indictment of L&I Deputy Commissioner. It’s the chain. Not just ONE link. I know I’m not the only one.

The city of Philadelphia is the way it is because of departments like these that get paid to do nothing. The city is only getting worse.

I find it strange that there a no whites , or black american street food vendors ..Philadelphia License and inspection only allows a Foreigners or any other race to be street food vendors in center city. What about equality . I had found this out when I got a street vending license and was restricted from the best areas in the city to vend. Then I began to start investigating who had vending spots in Prime areas. only asains, Greeks, Halal and others were vendors. I'm glad to see anyone make a living but it seems a bit unfair. Why are there no American food vendors or Americans .

Fined me for things not done on property but clearly you can see the work is in progress. Can't get intouch with the guy. Phone is just busy.

The worst. The most idiotic system on earth filled with people who don't want to be there or help you. Total incompetence!

Their eclipse program is horrible. It’s been a month and a half trying to get a permit and we keep getting the run around. It took a month and a half for someone to say you can get into MSB by appointment.

After spending almost 2 hours on line trying to speak with someone at L&I..I realize how Incompetent this entire organization is and it's unreal.

Been calling on abobs towing to the city council and nothing has been done ✅
