Old Rangers Inn

Always passed this place driving up. Decided to stop in with my dad. Dining room was nice, and contrary to reviews we didn’t smell any smoke. Staff was very friendly and nice. Salad bar was alright, the marinated mushrooms were cool. Then we got our prime ribs. It was cooked very nicely and and super flavorful. Giant portion for a nice price. It seemed like it wasn’t the best quality of steak, but the cook took it and made it really amazing. The mac and cheese was also very good. It was almost like tomato Soupish, and that was a really nice touch. Cant wait to eat here again.

Service was amazing! She was handling the bar and the people eating and never missed a beat! Down to earth and she was friendly. I think it's safe to say... we'll be back ☺

We are so happy to have found this little hidden gem during our trip to Hawley. It’s definitely a spot for locals to enjoy great food and great atmosphere. I’m amazed by how juicy and tender the steak is, not to mention its inviting smoky flavor. I learned from the lady at the bar that this property has been serving the local community since 1932, and I have no doubt that it’ll continue to be the go to spot for good food and drink for the foreseeable future. We’ll be definitely back.

If I could move this place closer to my home I'd eat there every night. Did a ribeye special first night and it was out of this world! Perfectly seared crust and a very flavorful and tender cut. About an inch thick give or take. I usually go rare or medium rare but on a piece with more fat I'll go medium so the fat renders. And I'd say that was a perfect choice. Salad bar was included and I also got fries which were also perfectly cooked.

Night two I had a the prime rib special. Came with salad bar. Prime rib was almost 2 inches thick. Flavorful and cooked to absolute perfection. I hit the salad bar and tried the seafood salad. And I had to take half of my common cut prime rib home because it was so good I had a second scoop.

Can't wait to get back to cabin and go there again and again and again.

Old Rangers Inn is an old style pub restaurant it is not a Inn! Meaning that Inn is only part of the restaurant’s name. Do not expect anything modern about this place this is a throwback that you’ll be glad that you tolerate it you can still smoke in here you can still enjoy your life and here you can have a beer and everybody knows everybody in here and if you’re nice I’ll get to know you too. So why am I making this place a five-star place because the food here is delicious it’s American it’s no holds bar and it is affordable if you don’t believe me go there and get their prime rib and then come see me. With a place like this so close to the campsites you go close your fire enjoy the woods and when you get hungry come eat here it’s actually cheaper to eat here then to carry all of your stuff over there now this is what I call camping. Do not go in there expecting that you’re gonna find fancy things but the things that you will find or a high-quality don’t know what else to tell you except for this is a diamond in the rough emphasis on the rough, excellent food and amazing nice people. Francesca is the sweetest waitress that you will ever have, she is an amazing person with lots of positive energy. This is nostalgia that never became nostalgic it’s still alive and Kickin and I hope it never goes away. Five stars!

I came here on a Thursday night with a friend for spaghetti night. The meat sauce was really wonderful, like straight up homecooking. Great portions, great price, the buns were warmed (which I think says so much). Carolyn was definitely holding down the night as our server and bartender. The dinning area and Bathrooms were clean, the walls were covered in the finest of history and memories. This was a great visit overall. Thosegilligans and friend totally recommend this treasure to anywhere passing the area!
P.s and should be noted, The pool tables are half the price compared to other local establishments! Enjoy!

Absolutely a gem. We stopped in this place mid-hunt for lunch. Very friendly atmosphere and service. Will definitely be there again next time.

It’s a traditional pub style restaurant. Very delicious food and decent price, which is very precious when inflation skyrocketed everywhere today. Definitely a five star!

We’ve been here 3 times and it’s been great every time. It’s hard to find anywhere that has a salad bar and this one is great, I really hope they don’t ever get rid of it. Our dinners have been consistently good.

My husband and I went to watch the Eagles game on Saturday night. We did not eat, but all of the food coming out looked really good. We sat and talked with the owners until the game was over. Everyone was welcoming full of great stories. We will definitely come back the next time we’re in the area.

We heard about the old ranger inn from a friend who gave it great reviews and decided to try it out on a Saturday night. I have to tell you our friend was right. The place is rustic which we like. We had the prime rib which was out of this world. The staff was super friendly and checked up on us to see if we needed anything but they were not overbearing. We had a great meal and the price for what we got was super reasonable. If you want a great place to hang out and have a phenomenal meal this is the place to go. If you are going to have a party of 4 or more please call to be sure they have a seat for you, we just took a chance and lucked out that the dinner crowd was just about done. Don't miss out on a great place to eat at a reasonable price.

Great meal. We wanted to try a new place and had passed this restaurant several times. The seating in the restaurant was very simple and woodsy but the food was great. The meals came out prompt and those who ordered steak had some nice cuts. Salad bar was nicely kept and had a nice simple selection. In a time where service is an issue , our waitress was as sweet as pie. Drinks came out prompt and she was nice and attentive. End to end a good meal and find ! We will be back for sure. Thanks !!!

Fantastic! I've enjoyed quite a few times at the Old Rangers Inn. Usually I enjoy a couple beers at the bar and order food. The food has always been pretty good. I moved out of the area for a couple years now and came back this weekend. Decided to enjoy a night here while being back. WOW! The food was excellent!!! There were more things on the menu and some of my old favorites that received some tweaking. I usually got the Burger Melt and went with that this time. It was excellent! The bartender was really nice and on point with everyone at the bar. All in all it was a fantastic experience and I cannot wait to visit again when in the area!

We've been coming here for over 10 years when we used to camp in the park. Now we live nearby and can walk to it. The food is excellent the service is excellent and the atmosphere is very nice and clean. We love it here. Plenty of choices and great prices. Wait service is very friendly and always Pleasant. Never a wait but it's always busy.
Full bar service and smoking side of the dining room completely separate. The salad bar is a real bonus and excellent. You can make a meal out of that and you can if you want to for a nominal fee.

The place was so cool inside! The food was wonderfully cooked to perfection! I had herbed, roasted 1/2 of a chicken...all the meat was tender and juicy! My fresh stringbeans were cooked to perfection! With Lemon and little garlic and oil! Plus a nice baked potato. I had the mini fireplace blazing...you could hear faint talking and laughter in the bar room. We sat in the dining room. The owner was sweet, she took our order and her husband cooked our meal. He was a quiet pleasant man...who came out to serve our dinners! They own a great establishment with lots of the restaurants pictures and history buzzing on the walls! GO THERE, ITS WORTH IT! WE ALL LOVED OUR MEAL!

Great salad bar. Stuffed flounder was delicious. I had some prime rib also was delicious.

My family and I discovered this restaurant / bar on our way to Promised Land park. We didn't eat inside - we ended up getting take out. The food was great! I loved the decor and the arcade games. It's dimly lit, though, and there is smoking allowed inside (as well as a cigarette machine) - so non-smokers beware! I will definitely be coming back again.
