The owners are absolutely amazing! Very personable, knowledgeable and helped this first time nervous kayaker put his mind at ease. I've been back a couple times after my first outing and had great experiences every time. Matter of fact, a couple friends, my wife and I will be heading out later today for the "lazy day" trip. You won't regret your phone call to book time on the river with this company. Don't hesitate either. I regret not giving kayaking a try years ago.

Renee is amazing! Very personal, knowledgeable, and loves what she does. We were super nervous our first time but she set us at ease. My husband and I fell in love. We've brought back 4 first timers, who also found a new love. If you get the chance take the lazy day trip, pack snacks and drinks. You will go through small but serious rapids, hopefully greeted by horses down by Riverside road bridge. The relief of Claim Island before the state line. Then maybe see some Otters and beavers. Just pure peacefulness and one with nature. No better way to recharge yourself than CKC style!

We came across this place randomly and it was a big surprise to us. We’ve kayaked in many areas but this beats all of that. The nature, wilderness and serenity are just perfect. To top it off, the owner is also super friendly and helpful. She knows the area well and took really good care of us. She even offered us the home-made delicious local chicken!! We came looking for a simple kayak trip and got away with an forgettable experience and a friend. Couldn’t ask for more!!! I hope more people will find this place and found what I found. Come experience it yourself, you won’t regret any bit.

What a Deal! 8 miles down the Allegheny River nothing beats the freedom you feel on the water. The ride is not by guide and I floated alone. Bird watchers don’t forget your binoculars! There are four Bald eagles nests before your landing dock. I saw a variety of fascinating water fowl. Fisherman the fish were jumping bring your license and your poles. The float is all down stream, it gets low and shallow in some spaces so be mindful of that. Be sure to bring LOTS of sunscreen and water. I got toasted. This also seems like the kind of place you can show up with a drink or two in your backpack for the ride. Snacks are suggested, the float was approx 4 hours long. If you are inexperienced on the water be sure to keep your life jacket on, and ride canoe with a friend. The boats were in really good shape. The gentleman takes you on bus to your drop off point and your ride downstream to your vehicle where he picks up the boats. This is a laid back experience. If you are looking for a lot of instruction or guidance you might not find it here. I am an experienced rider and I love the hands off approach. This is located south of the Kizuma.

Renee and her crew are top notch. They have great customer service skills and made us feel very comfortable and confident while learning how to kayak. We will definitely be back real soon. While kayaking up the Conewango River we saw herons, plenty of fish and multiple dragon flies. It was a lovely morning and we left with rejuvenated spirits.

First time kayaking and we had a great time. Staff was extremely helpful with getting us set up and making us feel welcome. We did the beginners portion of the creek and it was a beautiful, relaxing ride down the creek. Definitely will be back.

This is an amazing area that is beautiful. You can tent camp by the river and rent kayaks to enjoy on the river.

The owner Renee is the best and she wants everyone to enjoy their time on the river.

Renee was awesome!!! Such a unique and fun experience. Went on Memorial Day and the ladies helped us bring our kayaks to the docking area, mentioned a few spots to go to and I came back with the gnarliest tan line ever! 10/10 recommend. Will be going back sometime this summer :)

We are new to this area and looking for a place to kayak. The owner of this place was VERY helpful! She explained a few places we voild launch our kayaks and offered her dock as well for a very reasonable fee. When we came back to ask for the second location where there was a shore launch, she drove us to the place herself because it was not easy to explain. That was beyond helpful! Thank you so much!

The kayaking adventure was amazing. Three first time kayakers and one novice. The scenery was lush and beautiful. You truly felt the nature vibe. No traffic noise and tree lined river banks on a sunny afternoon... truly a nice summer afternoon treat.

We loved our family kayaking trip. Renee was so helpful and helped answered any questions ahead of time. 2 hour trip was beautiful, two sightings of bald eagles. Highly recommend!!!

I am absolutely impressed with the owners of Conewango Kayak amd Canoe Rentals. They helped us find a place to kayak and even showed us personally where to drop in our own kayaks. Renee the owner was super helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. She obviously loves her job and is great working with people. She had many options for us to choose from as far as kayaks/canoes, and multiple excursion options to suit us. The scenery on the river was beautiful and we saw multiple blue herons. It was an overall wonderful experience for our entire group!

This place was absolutely incredible! The hospitality was amazing. We are first timers and we tried to call a few other places first. They were bigger and not so nice on the phone. This is a small family run business who did all they could to accommodate us. If you have an extra minute to listen to their story on how they became a kayak business, please take that minute to listen. Its truly what chasing your dreams is about. They will have life long customers and we are so thankful we found them. If you want the best experience ,come rent here, you won't be sorry.

Great operation on a beautiful, scenic river. Rene was very hospitable. She had us “geared up” in no time, and provided a helpful briefing while driving us to the drop off spot. I highly recommend this company!

We had THE BEST TIME! You can tell the owner loves what she does We paddled for a couple hours. Saw a beaver swimming, some ducks playing & a bald eagle. But mostly, we enjoyed a relaxing paddle around Clam Island and down the creek. Definitely want to come back soon, experience was fantastic!
