What a great place!! As soon as you walk in, you feel the authenticity of a German atmosphere. The food was delectable, and our waitress was very attentive, friendly, & full of great recommendations! A+ service all around.

This place is great night out! I cannot say enough about Bonnie who took care of us!!! She took care of us like we were here family. She is one of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. She made suggestions and ensured we had everything we needed throughout the time we were there. I honestly could not ask for more. The owners were also very nice. Make sure you have reservations as the place gets busy! All the food is great, but you have to try the snail appetizer, it is great.

Nurnberger Bierhaus is authentic German cuisine in a beautiful and casual Poconos, PA environment. The service was warm, friendly, and efficient, and the food was absolutely amazing! My parents were originally from Germany and Austria, and where we lived in my growing up years, in Forest Hills, NY, there was a restaurant, the Viennese Pub, in nearby Rego Park, we would go to for special occasions. That restaurant is long gone, my parents are as well, but the beautiful memories remain with me. Today’s late lunch/early dinner with my husband at Nurnberger Bierhaus brought me way back to those precious childhood memories and food selections. Well done, Nurnberger Bierhaus! This was a slightly early 31st wedding anniversary meal out for my husband and I, and we totally enjoyed it! We highly recommend this restaurant!

Make sure to get the soft pretzel app; the homemade mustards are out of this world!! Side note: if you get a side salad, I recommend the house dressing because it is also made with the delicious mustard. All of our entrees were delicious and made with love. My personal favorite was the pork schnitzel with capers, but the tilapia was juicy and well-seasoned too. Also, the portions are generous, and they have an awesome selection of beer. We also got the Black Forest cake, which was pretty tasty and the right size to split with the table.

But possibly the best part of Nurnberger Bierhaus? The staff!! Everyone was SO friendly and kind. Shout out to our awesome waitress, Bonnie, for making the experience. She had excellent recommendations! I will definitely be back to grab another beer and a brat :)

We have been here once before nd it was good. Bit of a ride for us from Lords Valley (Hemlock Farms ) well worth it. We decided to try it again the other night nd this time it was absolutely delightful. It was a Saturday night so I made a reservation through Google but for some reason I got a confirmation but the hostess didn't. Needless to say we got seated nd waited for our server for a few minutes. NO biggie it was packed. An older woman walked over asked if anyone came by to take our order yet. Let me just say right from the start of "Bonnie" introducing herself as our server she was all smiles, friendly upbeat nd such a sweetheart. She joked with us, told us a cute dirty joke nd what a personality. She told us about her childhood which was a bit personal but we felt a strong connection with her nd she seemed comfortable telling us. She was busy as a bee but we never felt rushed or took that smile off her face. She would pop over nd say "hey kids how we doing over here can I get anyone anything else" she was very attentive. We told her we would leave a really good review on our experience. We finally got the bill nd she wrote a personal note of encouragement, real words of wisdom which made it much more special. She is a real class act. This establishment should be extremely thankful for such a hard working woman of her age. We can't thank Bonnie enough for such amazing customer service. She deserves 5 stars nd then some. We will definitely be back but we only want Bonnie again. Oh nd yes by the way, the food is great too lol give it a try 🫶🏽🌟

My family and I went here for our daughters 17th birthday, the atmosphere was great! Food was delicious and price were reasonable. This was our first time having German food and it was super delicious. Service was fantastic and all the staff very friendly.

We visited here a couple of weeks ago. The food was delicious. Our server was very polite and helpful. I have a food allergy and our server was very knowledgeable. We will be visiting again soon.

Absolutely amazing food, beer, and service. This instantly became out favorite place to go in the area. The beers are great, the food is 2nd to none, the desert and cocktails are amazing. This is an absolute must if you are in the area for any reason. Will absolutely be returning as much as we can.

Updated: Returned for the chicken. Schnitzel and got German potato salad vs the French fries. (pictured below)

Returned and this time got the rack of lamb (pictured below) One of the top 10 meals I have had.

Beautifully decorated with steins and other elements that when you walk in the door you are transported to another place. Bring your appetite even lunch is hearty. Oh and the pretzel app? Can’t go wrong.

Amazing meat and steakhouse restaurant. If you are craving good meat, this is definitely the place to come in the area! Delicious and big portions. Their lamb and pork chops are incredible, as well as the steaks! Love the spetzile as well!

The food, atmosphere, and service are impeccable here. Questions about the menu are welcomed and thoroughly answered. I had the Sauerbraten and it was excellent. Started with potato pancakes which were very good

We went to dinner Saturday to celebrate Tommy’s birthday- party of 8. Only 2 out of our group had ever been there before. The atmosphere was charming, food was amazing and our server, Donna (Palooza) lol was delightful… happy birthday to her as well 🎂 it was so uplifting to go to a restaurant that strives and achieves all of those goals. We will certainly return soon…. Don’t change a thing.👍

Delicious German food. The mushrooms over pumpernickel bread were so good. Generous portions of our dinner selections. Great German beers.

The restaurant is beautiful. The snail appetizer was delicious. No one at the table was unhappy with anything. Our waitress Bonnie was an absolute gem. We will definitely be back! Thank you for making my birthday so wonderful.

Wow. We never would have guessed. The space is very inviting. You are transported to a German food hall, complete with music and interesting decorations. The menu is varied and absolutely merits repeat visits. Our hostess/waitress/tour guide could not have been friendlier or more informative. We are looking forward to Oktoberfest. I do wish they had overnight accommodations. Oh. Make reservations for dinner. Try the strudel. Unforgettable.

Superb! It is a newly opened German restaurant. Very authentic, and a cultural environment with delightful music 😊 the food was outstanding. We got several dishes that were fresh and hot, meat was tender and juicy and the alcohol was amazing. Our server (Bonnie) was such an outgoing charismatic individual. She helped up and even though she was one of the only servers for outdoor dining, she made sure we were served in a timely manner. She works hard! And the outfits!! The BEST. I suggest going here and enjoying a nice meal. Kind of pricey, but the food is worth the price. If you're feeling something different, take the family and enjoy yourself!

This place is awesome! My husband and i stopped here on a rainy day for a heartwarming meal, and they delivered! I had two, not one, but two soups! The beef goulash was perfectly spiced and the creamy chicken vegetable soup was also savory and smooth. Huge selection of beers, and inviting authentic decor.

Excellent German food. I had the Farmer's Feast and it was excellent. The service was great and Robert was really nice. I also had the Octoberfest beer. Very smooth with no after taste. The mushroom appetizer was to die for.

Any chance I get, I will seek out German Restaurants when I am away from home and rarely find any. My Wife and I stayed in the Poconos last week and I searched. We Found the Nurnberger Bierhaus and based on the pictures, I was excited. When we arrived, the atmosphere was so awesome. I felt like I was back in the Father land. The Staff was so friendly. The Owners introduced themselves and couldn’t be more welcoming. We shared our passion for Germany and even our family roots back to Nurnberg. First, the Beer, Real Hofbrau Original directly from Germany which is important explained the owner because the Import is so much better because of the water used. Next, a big bowl of Goulash soupe which was exactly how my mother makes it and it was so good. At that point I knew this place was legit. Next, Big plates of cucumber salad that my wife has contemplated calling the owner and seeing if he would give up the recipe. Then, Pork Schnitzel which was perfect. Honestly I could not give this place a bad mark on anything. I even somewhat anticipated being disappointed because I have been to so many bad German restaurants. This to me, may have been the perfect restaurant. Not just my favorite German restaurant but honestly, my favorite restaurant I have ever eaten at. Anytime I am anywhere near Scranton or the Poconos region, I will be eating here. It is a little off the beaten path but well worth it. I would drive an hour or more to eat at this establishment. Fortunately though, it is only less then 30 min from route 80, and less then 10 min from route 84 and 30 min from 380. Prost!!
