Mr. Yock's BBQ

Took advice from the internet and made the trip out to this spot - totally worth it! The ribs were fall off the bone tender, and the brisket fries were awesome. Cornbread was more like corn cake but also excellent. My dining guest had the roast chicken and is picky about BBQ...even he said he'd be back. And if you leave room there's also ice cream!

5 Stars doesn't mean Perfect, it means a place delivers on everything we need & we will be back soon! Service from both our waitress to the many others zipping around, they were very close and faster than had we walked in line and picked out our food! Being out first time, she covered all the basics quickly and was even entertaining our 3 yr old , who is very very social right now, she easily could have brushed her off while taking orders she didn't. She engaged, and we will always be back where our family is wanted! We ordered pretty much everything, and that includes the "Table Side S'mores"!! Which were an absolute knock out of the park for desert. It both kept the kids engaged and allowed us to enjoy the breeze a bit more.A pretty good Singer was setting up as we left, so we are little bummed we missed it, and very excited to come back for live music soon. Chicken was smoked and burnt where it needs to be, the Texas Brisket Sandwich (we are from Texas) Is absolutely a Must and gets an A from us Texans! We even took one home, hit reheat in oven and it was spot on again. You MUST try this sandwich before you can judge this place. The ribs were really good, I like the sauce. Personally, I need Jalapeno Beans or something 🔥 HOY with my Ribs, everyone else downed them before I could really judge In full.
Two things to remember:
1. CASH TIP ONLY, bring the bills for tip, you can pay with Card at Register in side and grab some merch or to-go
2. Rest-Room is "Round Back" to be perfect BBQ bathroom it needs some Willie Nelson posters 🤣😎 or maybe I'll bring one! It was very clean and easily accessible, after I learned where it was.
Parking isn't great , so of you got a bigger Truck than my Taco, then you should park on the Left for easy in and out. Motorcycle clubs love his place and I enjoy hearing them rumble off. Family spot with all the querks of a local BBQ joint. If you haven't been here in a while, check it out. Staff is superior to any place we have visit yet. I wish I had had more cash for waitress, so come prepared! See y'all there next time!

Very cool little place. I was in the area and I was hungry and this was the only place I saw for miles in any direction so I pulled in the expansive parking lot and went in to check it out. It’s pretty straightforward, sit down, order, and the really friendly waitress brings the very tasty food. I ordered the Chipotle Black Bean Hamburger and saying that it was the best burger I’ve ever had in my entire life is an absolute understatement. I would definitely come here again and I’m definitely recommending this place to all my friends and family

Stopped here with my family after Claws and Paws down the road. Food was excellent, and we all had different things. Pulled pork nachos, brisket sandwich, BBQ chicken, and some ribs. Friendly service also.

Food was fantastic, service was fast and very friendly. I had the pulled pork BBQ fries and made a meal out of them. Portions are very generous. My fiance had the ribs and chicken combo and she said it was delicious. I would assume the people leaving low reviews simply don't enjoy the kind of BBQ served here (thicker, sweeter sauce). Will definitely be back again for more!

We have been here 3 or 4 times in total and always have a good meal with great service. The BBQ has always been very good with no complaints. We love sitting outside and enjoying the scenery and weather. We will keep visiting from time to time.

EXCELLENT!! Found this place by accident. I had a pulled pork sandwich which was Delish. My sister had loaded pulled pork sandwich...which she only ate half. Service great. Staff friendly. Down the road from The Hideout. Will be back again. Today 7/28/22.

I get the brisket sandwich. It's very tender and juicy, on a soft roll. I pair it with the macroini and potato salads. They are delicious as well.

BBQ is very good here. I have tried all the other BBQ places near this one and they are by far the best. A bit pricey but so is everything right now. My favorite here are the baked beans and ribs. The brownies are amazing, just like I make them at home. Everyone who works there has been very nice anytime I have gone. Wish they were open during winter for the people who live here full time (me and my family) . Highly suggest going here before going to any of the other local BBQ places. None compare.

It was a delicious meal with great prices and excellent service. A local gem for sure. We will definitely go again soon.

Great place after visiting the zoo down the street food and service was excellent

I live in the area where it is said BBQ originated in the US. That being said , if you travel the US ,like I have.(OTR driver)you will find that as the demographics change ,flavors change. What some people don't realize is that when you see that the meat looks "pink" ,doesn't mean the meat isn't cooked. This is what is known as a smoke ring. This is the sign of legitimate SMOKED BBQ. I have traveled 48 of the states and most of the provinces in Canada. In Canada it's not called BBQ, It's called smoked meat. This way of preparing food is sold as man himself. I can honestly say, hands down, NO BS. This restaurant has taken this to high standard . If you don't enjoy this dining experience, there is something wrong with your palate!

Great home made pulled pork , cole slaw and brisket sandwiches. I like how they package the meat and roll.separate so the sandwich doesn't get soggy when you do takeout! Friendly staff . The pulled pork is gluten free but it isn't indicated on the menu. I ate mine over some sweet potatoes instead of the roll..(not GF)

Mr Yock's has really good BBQ. We had pork and brisket. Best BBQ we had in a long time.

What a great place this is. Found it on our way to Claws and Paws. Had a delicious lunch served by friendly staff. Very good BBQ. If your in the area, stop by and enjoy.
I will definitely visit again if in the area.

best chili and awesome brisket, super juicy and very flavorful

An awesome find! Fresh cuts off brisket. Sauce and cheese on Texas toast were the perfect ratio and combination for the brisket melt! They would rename to chicken super tender tenders worth fresh cut fries. Corn bread is a crowd favorite. So glad we stopped at Mr Yock's while visiting Claws N Paws.

Great food and quick service .I had bbq ribs they were delicious, nice outdoor seating area.Try some delicious ice cream after dinner.
Adorable priced bbq ,we will definitely go back.

Review of July 1, 2018:
Had brisket, chicken and potato salad. Brisket was great, well cooked and sauced but it was really small. Need to get bigger buns and up the price a little. Delicious. Potato salad was OK, would get again but missing something I can't identify. Chicken was very good, would have been great but had very little of their excellent BBQ sauce. Definitely buy extra sauce and you can't go wrong.

Had pork barbecue sandwich outside on their patio , live band , nice atmosphere it was I nice day , which dish would I recommend, I would like to try all then !
