Layout is great, takes you on a linear journey throughout the store. Plenty of little surprises along the way. Good prices and selection. Good amount of kosher certified products. Stuff shown isn’t kosher, but pretty.

If Disney and IKEA had a baby, it would be Stew Leonard’s.

I’m from the west. We don’t have anything remotely close to this and we are missing out!

A definite attraction. How often do you feel the urge to whip out your phone and take pictures at a grocery store?

Shopping at Stew Leonard's offers fresh, high-quality products, a unique and interactive store experience, excellent customer service, and a variety of local and organic options. However, this comes with higher prices compared to regular supermarkets. The store's selection is more limited, focusing mainly on perishables and fewer pantry staples. The unique layout can be crowded and overwhelming, especially during peak times. Additionally, Stew Leonard's locations are limited, primarily in the Northeastern U.S., which may not be convenient for everyone. The decision to shop here depends on individual priorities like quality versus price and product variety.

This was my first time going here, I was introduced about this place from my professor asked us if we ever been here and I’ve been thinking about going ever since. It’s been 4 years since I was last told about it and the enthusiasm about his experience made it on my bucket list. This place is fantastic, great quality items, meats, produce everything was amazing. The buffet has a lot of options a lot of different things you can try. The staff is very nice and they all work really hard making everything fresh. I wish it was closer because I live in Brooklyn. Their ice cream is also delicious. I can’t wait to make this my primary shopping place. Everyone should visit a Stew Leonard’s once in their life it’s a shopping experience like no other grocery store.

We love stews. They have an amazing variety of produce, fresh baked goods, meats and cheeses, and seafood. The store itself is an adventure that we love to do on the weekends. They were super safe during the pandemic and have been great recently. They also have the best ice cream that you get for free if you spend $100

This place is great! Good selection on meats and prepared foods. The staff are helpful and sweet and place provides so many ideas for meals that helps the weekday life be a bit more stress free. Please note little to no gluten free options that I saw, so those of you who need gf options should still head to whole foods.

On 11/25/23, I had a horrible shopping experience here. The staff simultaneously treated me like I was too stupid to buy goods (e.g. the fishmonger who sold me scallops pretended like I was too dumb to understand simple sales transactions and the Christmas tree girl talked down to me repeatedly, refusing a tip) and too sexy to resist (e.g. the checkout boy in the Christmas Shop (who was all of 20) literally hit on me in front of my young daughter). I am very sad, given my love of Stew Leonard and his family, and my respect for all the Leonards have done for farming families both in Connecticut and across the world (Colombia, Italy, Guatemala, etc., etc.)

Does it get any better than Stew’s? I think not. And this time of year is obviously the best- apple cider goodies, pumpkin pie, fall florals, the list continues. A staple grocery store that has something for everyone. I’ve recently been loving the curbside pick up option via Instacart. I load my favorites into my cart, schedule a pickup time, pay in advance, and boom- ready upon arrival. Staff always friendly and helpful.

Fresh from Granby, CT!

This place is fabulous in any way. Those things you can push can make you laugh out loud (Very great place to shop with your kids.) Bagels are phenomenal! Sushi and steak too! -seriously I want to know where they get that sushi from but they probably wouldn’t tell you. So just buy from here! Everything’s fresh. And I wouldn’t drive all the way to Granby, CT so I would drive for 10-30 minutes then Boom! Stew Leonard’s.

These prices are reasonable. One thing that kinda shocked me was when I first tried the sushi I was like “meh.” But now it’s better than ever. But still, I wonder why.

But you should go to this place if your a meat lover, sushi lover and bagel lover.

GO TO THIS PLACE. IMPRESSIVE.

Hungry!? This is place has everything you need; fresh seafood to Tomahawk Steaks cut right in front of you. There's good parking but gets packed on weekends of course. Definitely go on a weekday so you can take your time picking out ingredients or ready-to-eat meals.

I cannot stress enough that a trip to this place is a full experience for my kids! Whether you start or end with ice cream, there's so much stimulation for the kiddos to experience here--from the singing butter to live animals. Great organic selection and very inexpensive! This month alone, we've been here with my family three times already! And believe me, that's a lot when it's at least 30 minutes away without traffic!

Is there better soft serve ice-cream in the world? Just tried the burger from the stand out for the first time and very good! Although some things in the store can be pricey, these gems get 5 stars in my book. See ya next time SL!

Stew Leonards was a very impressive supermarket - it truly was ‘super.’ From Eggo pancakes to freshly-baked bagels, this large superstore has it all.

It’s a very nice outing near Stamford - you can get delicious soft-serve ice cream, eat some fresh Texas-BBQ, and of course enjoy the incredible atmosphere of the amazing store.

I’m not sure why this supermarket is only rated 4.5, but hopefully this review will upgrade that!

I never knew I needed a place that was like Trader Joe's, Ikea, and Chucky E Cheese had a baby, but man it turns out I did. I probably spent over an hour just aimlessly wandering to take in all the departments because it was honestly that fun to look at the huge array of offerings. From the bakery I nabbed a cupcake (nothing to write home about) and a bagel (very good) and I'll certainly be back to try out their breads and pizza.
