Black Duck Cafe

We absolutely love The Black Duck! A long time Westport classic, directly on the water, is very easy to drive to, just off Exit 17 from I95, and right at the Westport train station for a convenient place to meet up with friends coming in by train. The ambiance is genial and friendly and an easy place to see old friends and make new friends. A lovely place to watch the sunset during the happy hour food and drink specials. Just the place for a full lobster dinner and more fresh seafood 🦞. Let's say a variety of excellent bands, local and otherwise, a great place to go dancing. Even Karaoke 🎤 from time to time.

Our first time there and it was great! The waitress was very friendly and attentive. The food was very good! Will definitely go back when we are in the area again!

Have not been here in quite a while. Got the breakfast burrito 🌯 that was very good. Hash browns were fresh and delicious! Enjoyed sitting outside. Was a nice day!

Food was great and the service was excellent. They're stuffed burger was amazing cheese oozing out amazing. The lobster Ruben was just crazy and the double stuffed lobster roll was heaven on a plate. That's why it was on Guy's Triple D. (Full covid 19 protocol in place felt very safe)

Eilene is a gem! She made our dad's birthday fantastic, she was so warm and friendly. Food was fantastic and great beer selection. 11/10 recommend.

This place is perfect for getting a burger and watching sports on tv. They also have live music on certain nights. The locals tend to hog the bar so get there early to secure your bar seats. Bartenders are very attentive!

Really good!! The stuffed quahog clams were some of the best I’ve ever had!!! The award winning duck buffalo wings (chicken) were really delicious as well!!! I would definitely go back. Love the atmosphere too, divey but nice!! Check out my photos!!! It’s seat yourself. Also, if there’s no parking you can park right next to it under the bridge!

I used to come here 45 years ago when I lived in Westport. Food and atmosphere still wonderful!

Randomly choose Black Duck after an Aquarium visit. 3 adults, 3 kids under 11 and not only was the food and atmosphere spot on, but adding extra stars for the super well made adult drinks. Service was smooth and quick and our server Hailey was patient and attentive. Plus, we sat on the deck with fun water views. Will be back!!

Best burger in Fairfield County. Great service, fun atmosphere, beautiful view of the Saugatuck River. Only place I'll go between Fairfield and Greenwich.

Bottomless Bloodies for $20 on Sunday. Great place. Good friendly staff. Definitely would recommend to anyone.

This place is nice. They have a good location, by the water. We ordered burgers, and it was delicious.

Even if you don't plan to stop in Westport, you should break up your journey and head to the Black Duck. It's 4 minutes from the train station, and well worth the detour. Snag a table on the deck out back and try their popular burgers, hot dogs, and sandwiches. The sauces on the burgers make them very tasty, and you won't be disappointed by the cheesesteaks. There's a great range of drinks including lagers, wines, and cocktails. The service is so unbelievably friendly that you feel right at home! The bathroom could use a little refurb, but the whole place is pretty charming.

Love the black duck. Taking a ride on the motorcycle with a bunch of friends. Stopping for lunch. It definitely Has great food, good people and a excellent atmosphere!

Everything we ordered was incredible!! We kept meaning to take pictures of our food before eating it because it all looked so good but everything was so delicious we couldn't help ourselves and only took pics after!

We ordered the popcorn shrimp, potato taquitos, and wings as appetizers.
The popcorn shrimp was easily the best I've ever had. The potato taquito was also sooo good it was like a Mexican Blintz! Highly recommend!

I ordered the Lobster smothered burger it was great, and the fries and onion ring portions were huge and delicious!

I’ve been coming for the duck for 10 years. It is the best bar in the area…by far. A dive that feels like home. You have to try the wings (best in the region, not a joke) and the burgers. 5 out of 5 would recommended.
