Astro's Pizza

The house special calzone is my wife's and my favorite dish. We love the sauce that is provided. The service is excellent. I don't understand why the other reviewer said they were rude. I have never seen anyone working there as anything but friendly.
The only negative I have is that the parking lot could use more light and fill in the pot holes.

This wonderful place, built and open in 1980, has really great food at very good prices. I'm hungry just writing this!!! Go see what it's all about...

Pizza & calzone, especially the calzone, were excellent! Best calzones around!

Been here many times and finally decided to review. I love the classic mom and pop feel this place offers and the made-to-order feel, and homemade taste. This place is small town Italian restaurant feel, laid back, and old school in the best way. It is not for those who like updated, pretentious, fancy chains who pretend to be authentic.

Always great service and food. Priced are standard, better than some places. Generous portions as well

Absolutely the best Pizza in the area. Portions are huge! It's always fresh, workers & chef r kind. Prices reasonable. Inside is spacious but a tad dark. However; I never thought that while dining in. I tend to p/u my orders nowadays. They have begun serving well done pizza so I always let them know I don't want mine well done w/ small areas of burnt cheese. I also always ask for a pie cut at any pizza/Italian restaurant. This is actually a Greek restaurant & the menu is impressive. Never disappointed except once ,(well done pie & they remade it). Serves lunch w/ slightly smaller portions and less $. They have a thin crust that's buttery. Large parking lot. Nice selection of desserts too. Far Far better than Sofia's abt a mile so. Less pricey with far larger portions. Less noisy too. Serves 🍺 including by the pitcher ! Off exit 46 on I91 No. , Across the street from the Mobile gas station. Great place for a large group! Their sandwiches/grinders are huge! Highly recommend!

The best Greek pizza around. Fresh, hot and tasty. Love the veggie pizza. It is loaded. It is always hot when we pick it up. Down side, no delivery.

Great pizza 🍕 in the whole entire area for sure. Perfect crust and after picking up, the aroma makes the ride home a real challenge! Steve has been making awesome pizza & food for years- super friendly too. You’ll keep coming back, it’s delicious!

Can't go wrong with some astros

Ate there for the first time yesterday. We were looking for a replacement for the recently closed Pizza Parlor in Windsor Locks. If you like Greek style pan pizza, then this is the place for you. Quality ingredients and great food. Staff was very friendly and accommodated a few of the questions that I had. We'll absolutely be coming back. ***UPDATE*** Still the best around!

First time visit even though the place has been here forever! Easy to see why - good food, great menu, good portions.

Best pizza, short wait reasonable prices. What a combo. You have to try the Hawaiian pizza best in town. I highly recommend.

Simply a great "grinder" restaurant that offers a good variety of food beyond just grinders. Staff are always pleasant, food hot and we'll prepared, so what's not to like? They've been there forever so the food must be good.

Our waitress Trish is always very professional, efficient, pleasant, and prices are fair and food is fresh and excellent !

It doesnt try and be anything its not. Just had the 5 cheese pizza and it was very good.
The place could use an little vibe update but currently it's not too bad;especially considering covid slump.
Waitress was kind and service good.

I've loved this place since I was a kid. They're not as busy now as they were back then but that doesn't mean the foods not as good. They have a good variety of items on the menu but if you were only going to get one I'd recommend a calzone, the marinara is so good.

I had the meatball and sausage parmigiana and it was first class. Included a nice side salad and garlic bread for $15.99. Huge portion and delicious sauce. Service was excellent, too.

It's impossible for me to go to Astro's and not get a calzone. Usually meatball, and sometimes I add pepperoni. For starters, it's enormous. The cheese is very fresh and the meatballs and dipping sauce are very tasty. It's the classic "tastes better the next day" hot or cold. It's simply a tick better than any other calzone. Friendly staff starts at the top with the owner. I mostly get take out but am happy to dine in at a big booth and enjoy right out of the oven.
