These guys are great. I called them due to a suspected wheel bearing or CV axel issue I was having. Laurel answered the phone immediately and I let her know that I work on my car myself but would love a professional opinion on the situation I was having, she was still happy to help and told me to bring the car in. Vince hopped in my car and as soon as he heard the noise he hopped out and knocked some ice off of my fender - and the noise was gone. Pretty dumb on my part. Vince wouldn't accept my offer to pay a diagnostic fee, just a solid/honest business owner here in Polson who obviously cares about anyone who walks through his door regardless of what brought them there. He could have told me that any number of things were wrong. I do not take my car into a mechanic often due to past experiences but I've found a place I completely trust when that time inevitably comes.

I was referred by a friend to go there and I was very pleased with the attention and concern for my time and money. I went in for a tune up as my Dodge caravan wasn't running very well at all. After I dropped it off l hed received a call informing me of the situation. And what was the issue.I had forgotten to let them know that my radiator had a little leak but they informed me of it but it was going to be a different day or whenever. Was very fast service and polite as well. The owner even gave me a shirt. I feel pleased to have gone there and intend to go there in the future

The best auto repair that you can ask for. Extremely knowledgeable absolutely the best service. I was from out of town broke down Vince worked on my car personally to get it running thank you Vince you are good man

Hands down, this shop is excellent. No games played. Honest people. One of their mechanics, Jeremy, checked our motorhome, diagnosed it, and had our motorhome running as good as new in one hour. Jeremy worked on our motorhome right in front of us and explained as he worked through the issues. We truly appreciate the efficiency, knowledge, and customer service the owner and Jeremy showed us. Needless to say, should we ever need them again, we know who to go to. Oh, as far as pricing, only $135. We couldn't ask for more being they came to our site the following morning. We were expecting to have our motorhome towed to a shop, have it fixed in weeks/months, and cost us thousands of dollars.
Two weeks ago, we went to a different shop. We spent $3000 there and it took them 7 days to get it running.

I cannot recommend these guys enough. On labor day my car broke down on the highway driving back to Seattle from Glacier. I was desperate to get back asap to not have to cancel my clinic the next day. These guys prioritized fixing my car first thing in the morning when I showed up, called in parts from hours away, offered the highest standard of service, recommended an amazing cafe down the block for me to post up in, and got my car fixed with enough time for me to get home. They also gave me a free T-shirt. I'm embarrassed how long it took me to write this review but it's never too late to show gratitude for such fantastic service!

My car was having a slow start so I went to auto zone. They said the battery was bad so we replaced it, then they said the alternator was bad so I had it replaced in Missoula after my appointment that day. My car was still slow to start like the battery was dying and then the check engine light came on so I went to auto zone in Missoula. The car would not turn over any more I was stuck out of town. The manager of the Polson store was there she was very helpful and Martin helped diagnose what may be wrong but I called G and M. Thank God they suggested soundly hitting on the starter while turning over the car and my car started. It was the starter. They set me up an appointment for first thing in the morning and got the car right in. They did a good job and when I left my car check engine light came back on. I went right back to G and M and they got right on it and fixed the issue and now I am off to Idaho. Thanks guys for taking the time to help even when I was out of town. Saved me money for a tow too. I would reccomend them to anyone. They are very easy to deal with and dont rush you.

Fast, generous and communicative service. One of the better auto maintenance experiences I've had. Vincent offered a free diagnosis of the check engine light and because we were just passing through town for a few days, he provided quick service and a small replacement part on the spot to resolve the issue. Gave us peace of mind and an explanation of the issue to get us back on the road.

Here from out of state visiting my daughter when my older Chevy truck started making a very unsettling noise. G & M Auto Tech not only agreed to take the truck in for repairs the same day, they had it repaired the next day for a very reasonable price. The shop was fabulous and showed great pride of ownership. I give them 5 out of 5. Thank you G & M Auto Tech!

Our alternator died on us. We were on our honeymoon and had to get to towed somewhere and we ended up choosing this shop! They had no problem fixing it and got it done by 11 am! I’m so impressed with this mechanic and if we were locals I’d definitely come back for normal car repair! Thank you so much guys! You’re the best and saved our vacation. And if you’re reading this and you’re a local or from this area you should definitely go here. :)

My friend and I were traveling from out of state when my brake lines broke, G and M not only gave us a ride back to our Airbnb but they also fixed the car first thing the next morning. They are great people who truly care about customers.

I had an issue with the brake lights on my RV while on a long road trip. I was
so glad to find G &M auto. I parked my big RV on the street in front of the shop and a technician immediately came out to assist me. He found the problem within a few minutes (a disconnected wire) and fixed it for me. The owner told me no charge but I tipped the mechanic for his trouble. I appreciate the professionalism and integrity of G & M auto and highly recommend them to everyone in need of automotive or RV help!

Vincent and Jeremy saved me and my nephew as we were passing through Montana on a road rally. I had a very serious oil leak on an old car (1976 Porsche 914) and they didn't know us from Adam. But.... They knew we were stranded and took the car in, put it on the lift, diagnosed the problem and proceeded to get to work to locate the parts they needed, fix the issues and get us back on the road that same afternoon! This experience truly restored my faith in humanity... Especially during this very trying time in our country. Jeremy was such a pleasure to deal with and Vincent could not have been more professional, informative and helpful! Really outstanding craftsmanship and dedication was on display. I am forever indebted to G&M for going above and beyond the call of duty.
And...to top it off... The cost of the repair was eminently reasonable given the gravity of our situation and the work load that was already in place when we arrived there... Vincent made the time for us and then treated us more than fairly despite the inconvenience we caused him/them! Can't say enough good things about these incredible people and this experience! Go there... They will treat you right!!!

Vince and his team are top notch and we feel so fortunate to have met them! We were on a cross country trip with our family and sure enough, just like in my worst nightmares, we experienced transmission problems. Go figure. Traveling up and down mountain passes. ;-) Anyways, he helped to take a very stressful situation and diffuse it for us. Before taking it apart, he prepared us that it could potentially be a full rebuild. We were prepared for it and fully expected that to be the case. Fast forward two days later and he had it repaired (instead of needing a full new one) and at a VERY fair price. We seriously couldn't believe it. It's rare that you run into mechanics anymore that are both fair prices and honest. Vince is both! We wish we could take them back to Phoenix with us. If you are looking for a mechanic, this shop is your place!

My trailer Ebrake chord spontaneously broke and they were kind enough to replace it right away and tighten up my lugs so I could get right back on the road! Such a good vibe, ❤Independents, best mechanic waiting room I've ever been in!!

I have a 2005 Mini Cooper, and I had a belt which broke which caused my car to overheat. I was lucky enough to get the Cooper to G & M before it died. I was so glad I did too. Vincent quickly diagnosed the problem and did the repair the next morning. Outstanding service. I can't say enough how pleased I am with the service.

G & M is a wonderful group of honestly caring people. I’ve been taking my truck here since I’ve moved back home and I know I will never have any unnecessary work done. Vincente has gone above and beyond as the owner and has completely earned my business. As a business owner myself I totally appreciate everything he does!

On my way to Flathead for our families yearly vacation my trucks serpentine belt started making noise. I called, they squeezed me in and and had me back on the road in no time. When I came to pick my truck up, I felt like I had been a life long customer! What a great place! I would highly recommend G & M Auto!

Let me tell you about my experience with G & M Auto. I was in my way into Polson from Washington for a wedding in August of 2017 and my car, a 1999 Toyota Camry broke down on the way there. It was on a weekend and I had to be back at work in Washington on Tuesday. I called around to nearly every auto mechanic in the area and they laughed at the possibility of fixing my car in such a short time frame. Well everyone except for G & M. They told me to bring my car by that day and tried to fix it that very same day. When they weren't able to and I was stuck in Polson and nearly out money the owner's daughter drove me and my girlfriend (now fiancee) to the train station in Whitefish. I got a call the next day that they were able to repair my car for a very low rate for the job (timing belt/ water pump replacement). I had a beyond phenomenal experience with G & M and I owe them a lot. Thank you so much everybody who works here and a huge thank you to the owner!!!

Car broke down in Polson on a Friday afternoon, most shops around were closing up but Vince went the extra mile. He came and picked me up while we waited for AAA to tow the car. We hung out at his shop and talked until AAA delivered it. He worked on the car over the weekend, on his own time, and had it ready for me the next day. I have never experienced better customer service or hospitality. The car is running great and his rates and assessments were honest and fair. If Vince is any indication of the character of the people in Polson, then I am sold on the town. Thank you Vince!

Awesome customer service and knowledgeable advise on the various options to replace my engine, great job on my car and doublechecking after the work has been done. Very thorough. And the price also was the best I could find. The owner obviously takes pride in his job and does not try to just get the most $$ out of his customers not matter what. Will get my business again for sure.
