Budget Car Rental

We arrived Budget Avis at Cedar City Airport on December 24th to exchange our car rental. We didn't expect such engaging and friendly on-site employee s to help out. Dee and Jessica were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, which is what you would hope for when you're absolutely helpless. We really appreciate their support and they made our holiday travel extra special.

We had reservations in St George. When we arrived, we were told the only vehicle they had was a pick up truck. I asked them how can that be when my reservation was made weeks in advance. I was told you can rent whatever you want online but we have what we're have. I contacted Costco for help, and they were able to move my reservation to Cedar City (50 miles away). We were greeted by Dee with a smile and reassurance she had a car for us. I explained what had happened and that we were taking my 85 year old mother in law on vacation with us for 9 days. She was very apologetic and showed us various cars that she felt would be comfortable for us and our mother. We are so grateful to her and how easy she made it for us to get the car and get on the road. I don't blame the agents in St George, they can only do what they are allowed, however I do blame corporate for not being more on top of having more cars available and for not advising travelers at least a day or two ahead of time that they won't have a vehicle for them. So 5 stars for Dee and her willingness to take a huge burden off our shoulders!! You're an angel for sure!! ❤ I sure hope the corporate office acknowledges what a great employee that have. I also hope they realize they are angering a lot of customers who may not return because of the lack of communication and knowledge of what vehicles are needed each day for each location.

Recently I rented a car from my local Budget at The Cedar City Regional Airport and they exceeded all my expectations from a car rental company. Denise is super nice and will help you get into a car super professional and very nice. I'll definitely be back to rent again. Go see Denise at Budget she will take care of you.

Dee at Budget Rental Car desk in the Cedar City, UT., airport is one of the most nice, gracious, and professional people with which I've ever interacted. I fly nearly every week for work so I've interacted with hundreds of rental car clerks over the past few decades. This time, I drove in from Denver, and found myself in a major bind as my car blew a head gasket. Dee helped me rent a car to drive back home and she was able to work a very reasonable price which I greatly appreciated! I highly recommend Dee and Budget for anyone needing a vehicle in Cedar City!!!

Dee and Jessica at this Budget location have been great to work with! The cars or trucks I've rented have always been nice and clean. Even when certain rental vehicle types haven't been available (not by any fault of their own) they have been open and communicative plus kindly offered upgrades or helped work out alternatives. Overall a very good deal and great people to work with.

This review is for Denise at the Cedar City Budget/Avis counter. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I was not able to return my rental to the Tucson Airport at the contracted date. I called the 800 number and the two reps were not helpful at all. They told me to contact the rental counter at Tucson Airport. I called there no less than 20 times (the 800# rep said just keep calling the Tucson desk) and each time it sent me into an automated loop with no opportunity for resolution whatsoever. In a last ditch effort to extend my rental contract, I went in person to the Cedar City rental counter. Denise saved the day by getting everything straightened out. She went above and beyond in her customer service. Thank you, Denise!

This place has the best customer service. Dee was so friendly and helpful. She exchanged the car for us when we got a flat tire. She even called John Wayne Airport location (our original renting location) to make sure we wont have any problem returning the car. Highly recommend if you are in Cedar City and in need of a rental car.

My family needed a 4wheel drive car this past weekend, as my car wouldn't make it to Brian Head. We called right at 5pm when Dee was closing up, but knowing we were right down the street she waited for us. Dee made sure to rent us the best Jeep Wrangler :) and was very patient as we worked through providing our insurance. Dee was very helpful and provide amazing customer service from start to finish. We will be back

Our flight out of Cedar City left early morning, before the rental car desk was open. We dropped the keys in the night box and hurried to the plane before we realized that we had left a bag in the now locked rental car! Our flight was the only one going to our destination that day, so we had no choice except fly out and hope for the best.
I called the desk and left a message explaining what happened, and by the time we landed at our next city, supervisor Dee Hollingshead had already retrieved our bag and got back to me. She then took time out of her day to go to the local post office and had our bag shipped overnight.
Their customer service is top-notch from beginning to end.

I'm not one for leaving reviews, but due to a bad experience with a dealer that "repaired" my semi truck, here I am! (I had to warn the world to stay away from that dealer - but that's another story...)

About this place: THE BEST!!!

The regular shop that works on my semi truck is in Cedar City, about 2 miles from the airport. (My regular mechanic is also stellar!) I had to drop my truck with him for a few days this past April (amid all of the "lockdowns") and I really didn't want to be confined to a hotel room with nowhere to go. So, on the way down from SLC, I call my (former) favorite, Enterprise - because they pick me up/drop me off at my mechanic's shop.

Well...not anymore! During the lockdowns, they shut down both their offices in Cedar City in town, and at the airport, and laid everybody off: customers had returned cars parked everywhere at the airport, and nobody to collect keys!

I ended up calling Budget, and Dee answered, and she is a wonderful lady, and went out of the way to get me into a car!

They don't pick you up or drop you off, but at least they were there when I needed them, which is more than I can say for the competition.

From now on, if I find myself wanting/needing a rental car in Cedar City, I'll be calling Budget, and either walking or cycling to their office because, I need the exercise anyway - and they're a better place to do business with.

Our truck broke down and we were stranded in Cedar City. I booked a car through the enterprise onlie system and went to sleep. It was 1am. At 7 (car was to be picked up at 8) Enterprise called and said there was a booking error they did not have cars available.(more like they did not want to come in. Dee took suchgreat care of us and was super friendly!

I highly recommend!

We needed a one way rental to catch a flight in SLC. Avis was the only place in town willing to help. At the last minute our flight was canceled and we needed to change plans and drive to our location. Dee was so awesome and worked with us to rearrange our trip without any additional fees. She was very friendly and easy to work with. Thank you Dee!

Leaving this review for Jessica. She went above and beyond to save my trip. Budget of Utah, can actually suck rocks! I rented what I thought was a F-150 in American Fork, and was given a Dodge Ram 2500 to drive to Vegas. Long story short, the northern offices berated me and REFUSED to help me, even after I offered to put off my trip to wait for a vehicle I felt safe enough to drive. After calling the Cedar office along my way, Jessica said her location needed more trucks and offered me a different vehicle I gladly took. She even waited after hours for me to get to Cedar City to exchange vehicles. Thank you, Jessica!!!

It was a great experience renting from Budget at the airport. From the reservation to the end, it was seamless!!! Dee was exceptional from start to finish, and Lori was great in assuring us that there will be a car available for us when we arrive. Thank you both for an outstanding customer service!!!

The people who work for Budget at the Cedar City airport are so friendly and helpful! I forgot my bag in my car and they were heroic in helping me get it back. Also, my car was exactly as promised. A great experience all around.

PLEASE READ: One week this location will have a couple dozen reservations and the next week they'll have hundreds. They do their very best logistically to fill all their reservations but there are times they run low or out of cars. Rather than demonize the employees, if you choose to look at the situation through the lens of a compassionate human you'll realize that you'd much rather live in a world with a few inconveniences with kind people than no inconveniences with hateful and mean ones. The ladies who work the counter here do their absolute best to accommodate your reservation and I'd recommend you call the counter a few days ahead of when you need your vehicle just to be sure its going to be available. Some may view this as a pain but I can assure you it'll be worth your while to choose Budget over others and I'll tell you why. Who ever buys the rentals for this company doesn't by the cheapy models. The durangos have the nice engines, nav and heated seats, the Jeep are all 4x4 with same amenities as the durangos, the trucks are all top of the line trim levels, the cars are NICE.

Dee was amazing! She was almost always available at the phone, and if not she returned our call quickly. She answered all of our small questions, and helped us have an amazing rental. Will definitely be coming back, no disappointments at all

Had a great experience with budget in cedar city. The lady at the counter was so nice. They had a car last minute for us. Very honest and very straight forward about policies. Would highly recommend.
