The French Spot

The French Spot was a must try for us. We stopped by and found this place absolutely charming. The service was fantastic and the desserts are incredible. We tried one of nearly everything. The macarons are textured perfectly while the flavors left us in awe. The fruit tarts are another big winner! Highly recommend eating here.

This place is AMAZINGLY delicious. Their regular plain butter croissant is so good. I got the Croque Monsieur and wow it was amazing. Cheesy, crunchy, and savory. My daughter ordered the Nutella crepes and wanted more. PERFECT location for an amazing breakfast.

6/11 Came back to Cedar City for the weekend and happily hit The French Spot up again. So good!

We stopped by for breakfast after another place we hoped to try had a 30-minute wait and were delighted by this hidden gem in Cedar City.

It's an order at the counter and seat yourself kind of place, but it had a fancy vibe to it from the plants to the marble tables. They have outdoor seating also. The only thing i would wish were different was that it was a touch warm inside the restaurant.

We ordered a number of breakfast items to eat there and a couple to go. It was simple and sooooo well executed. Delicious!

My husband ordered the Croc Madame, and wow-- that really was so delicious. The French toast was surprisingly custardy and soft, and my simple scrambled eggs with bacon and cheese over a croissant was the best thing I ate our entire trip.

We also ordered a macaron and almond croissant, and both were buttery and had both crunch and aoftness. We'll have try more of their treats next time.

WOW! What a Diamond in the Rough! We stumbled upon the wonderful little place by accident and we are so happy we did. I wish we lived closer so we could visit more often! If you are driving through Cedar City YOU MUST STOP! You can get a meal, a beer, a coffee, desserts! We stopped in after dinner and got coffee and desserts and it was so much fun and delicious! The owner is a gracious man and was so kind and welcoming to us all! Truly wish we could eat there each day of our trip!! Go in for a macaron at least they are out of this world!!

I recently visited The French Spot and had an amazing dining experience. This charming restaurant not only boasts a pet-friendly patio but also offers a delightful array of dishes that left me completely satisfied.

The mixed green salad I ordered was a refreshing delight. The greens were incredibly fresh and crispy, and the dressing was simply wonderful. The combination of flavors was spot-on, making it a perfect appetizer to start my meal.

For my main course, I opted for the vegetable soup, and I was pleasantly surprised. The soup was perfectly seasoned, striking a harmonious balance of flavors without overwhelming my taste buds. It was clear that attention was given to every ingredient, resulting in a soup that was both comforting and delicious.

The highlight of my evening was undoubtedly the steak. Cooked to perfection, it was tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. Although I didn't indulge in dessert on this occasion, I was pleased to see a great variety of options available. The French Spot clearly takes pride in offering a diverse selection of delectable treats, ensuring that there is something to satisfy every sweet tooth.

In conclusion, The French Spot exceeded my expectations in every way. From the pet-friendly patio to the remarkable dishes, attentive service, and tempting dessert options, this restaurant truly stands out. I highly recommend paying them a visit for an exceptional dining experience. Bon appétit!

I've always known that the almond croissant was my love language, but all of the food here is DELECTABLE!! They have vegetarian options and the macaroons we took to go didn't even make it home. Try the lavender macaroon... you're welcome!!

Amazing little place. One of the best Almond croissants 🥐 I ever had. Crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle with perfect balance of flavors. Almonds are also present from the outside. Macaroons which I bought was cotton candy. I didn’t like it and it was very cold and hard. Difficult eat as soon as I bought it. Looks amazing though 🤷🏻‍♂.

Hot chocolate is just perfect for my liking thick tasty and all the wonderful things in one small glass. Overall I would recommend this place and try their croissants and hot chocolate as soon as you can.

This place is the real deal. I haven't tasted butter croissants this perfect since being in France 5 years ago. The almond croissant is also exactly what an almond croissant is supposed to be. Many times a bakery will take unsold croissants, split them in half, slather a sicky-sweet almond paste inside and call it good. Not so here. They are fresh and just the right amount of sweet. I have no doubt that the rest of the menu is just as perfect. Everything French begins with the croissant. When simple, high quality ingredients are transformed into the highest heaven, all other ingredients that pass through the heart and hands of the master are equally elevated.
I had given up hope that I would ever find a true master French baker outside of France but here he is, in a tiny cafe in Cedar City.

I absolutely love this place! Perfect for any time of the day. The food is delicious and authentic. Best croissants! And don't forget a sweet treat like macaroon or tart. The coffee selection is pretty delicious as well.
It's nestled at the edge of a parking lot...which doesn't sound like much, but there are a few tables/chairs, shaded cover in the summer and heat lamps in the winter. Very comfortable and perfect for people watching. Dog friendly too!

Wow! Absolutely delicious! We were passing through Cedar City and stopped for brunch and were completely won over by the superb pastry, absolutely decadent ham/cheese quiche and potato gratin and scrambled eggs on croissant - all paired with refreshing, lightly dressed greens. The food was so good, we ordered some croissants to go and were rewarded with a delicate flakey super buttery pastry snack later that afternoon. The restaurant itself is pretty basic - order at the counter and wait for the small hardworking crew to deliver food to packed tables - but the food was well worth the wait! Kudos!

The food here was very good. I got the strawberry bubble tea, a lemon macaroon and this potato dish. My mom got a breakfast scramble on top of a croissant. It was a fun little place! Kind of pricy but not bad. I would eat here again.

We stopped in with a party of 10! on our way past Cedar City. The best choice of our day. They received our large party graciously, took care with our orders, and the owner even came out and said hello. Macarons were enormous, the tart divine, but my favorite was still the croque madame with a side of greens. Perfection. Every ingredient in the right amount, perfect complimentary flavors, not too much dressing but just enough. It wasn't too heavy nor too light. They managed our orders and plenty of other customer's, too. It is now an essential stop. I only wish they were closer.

Great place to go for breakfast or lunch! The French Spot began as a kiosk with outdoor dining only, but now has a diner inside as well. We had the French toast, based on a Nutella-drizzled pastry instead of dry bread, and a croissant topped by parm-sprinkled scrambled eggs. Food-truck fare this definitely is NOT! (Although the kiosk origins are reflected in bottled-water or can-soda only service.)

Tired of fast food, we just wanted some good-quality food after long drives road-tripping from SF-Vegas-etcccc This was it! small, cute and the food was GOOD. Trés bonne cuisine! in this nice city in the middle of nowhere on our way to Bryce Canyon. French-husband-approved 😋👍🏻 (No alcohol though!!)

We stopped in for dessert. We always are looking for macarons & we found delicious ones here! We loved the flavors & texture. Also, we tried a peach tart. It was amazing! The customer service is perfect! Everyone is so happy, welcoming & helpful! We definitely want to try more foods next time we drive through town.

The vegetable soup was bigger than expected, and similarly delicious and creamy above our expectations. The salmon and chicken croissant sandwiches were delish but the macaroon with strawberries and gelato stole the show. Highly recommend and will visit again soon!

We had a bunch of things- egg and croissant, salmon sandwich, chicken sandwich, almond croissant and the fresh onion soup. We tried a bunch of coffees as well. Everything was amazing.

I have been on the hunt for the best croissant in Utah, and I found it here! It was fresh out of the oven, crispy on the outside, chewy and soft on the inside — just how a croissant should be. The crème brûlée was to die for and I also loved the pistachio macaron. Everything was so good, I stopped on my way back from St. George and got the balsamic chicken breast on a bed of salad, and it was the most perfectly cooked chicken I’ve ever had. Definitely recommend stopping at this hidden gem.

The desserts are really delicious, especially the raspberry macarons and Berry Tart are highly recommended to taste. I know this store is also recommended by a friend, who recommended me this corsage. (I have eaten it is also very good.) If you really want to eat dessert, you can go to try it.

Cozy and great spot for breakfast/brunch with a French touch.
They offer lotsa coffee and food options. The location is right next to farmers market area in Cedar city so that makes it an ideal spot to grab a bite before or after a visit to the farmers market.
The staff is friendly and the location also offers variety of pastries/desserts.
