Daddy's Noodle Bar

Came in for an order out, got the spicy ramen. Amazing, I never knew what "clean broth" taste meant until this place. The eggs are so flavorful, the broth is immaculately tasty, and there's plenty of super tender meat and noodles.
The takeout box with noodles have partially chilled items, don't be discouraged, the broth is well hot enough to reheat everything without it being overcooked by the time you eat it ☺
They have white and red wine, couple of domestic beers with a happy hour.
The kind man who got me my order even gave me a glass of water at the bar while I waited for my meal.
Great atmosphere.
Also don't be intimidated by the entrance and exit with construction, it's super easy to navigate.
This place should be way more packed!!!!

I've never had restaurant quality ramen before. Never even wanted to, I mean, ramen is college food, right? This is so different! The broth is flavorful while not being salty. The additions (meat, veggies, eggs etc) are well balanced and the overall effect is anything but broke food. The service is friendly and efficient and the process are reasonable. Everyone who reads this needs to go there because I'd like this local place to stick around! Oh, they have more than 🍜 so be sure to visit!

Hubby and I took a much needed break from everything, it was a great atmosphere and the appetizers fresh and delicious!!! The Ramen did not disappoint! Adrien (waiter) greeted us and was very Attentive and polite we will be back!!

Ordered wings and their daddy's Ramen to go. Wings were a little more fishy than I had anticipated but the flavor was still on point. The Ramen was very good and filling. The staff was also very friendly. Overall very good.

Snagged a delicious bowl of pho with the steamed dumplings. They do not skip on the portions very filling and flavorful. Service was very attentive and good came out quickly

Group of lunchtime pho-sseurs here; we went to check out this new ramen-pho restaurant in the Flanders section of East Lyme.

Working in Old Lyme, we are constantly on the hunt for a convenient lunch. Pho has always been a favorite, but hard to come by locally. We'd drive to Groton, or be forced to eat sub-par Pho from other (unnammed) restaurants along the shoreline. When we discovered Daddy's was opening in East Lyme, we started a countdown to their opening. Today was our first (of many) visits and we were not disappointed. I expect we'll visit multiple times per week for our phix.

Restaurant Pros:
- Sriracha bottle at every table
- Plates of fresh Thai basil, bean sprouts, and limes were brought out right after we ordered our Pho
- Neato fish tank
- Bar with large screen TV (if you're into that)
- Waiter was very talkative upon questioning and appreciated our phosearch. Was very interested in our opinions knowing how well-pho-ed we were.
- Bill-pay was via iPad screen brought by our waiter; fast and easy

Restaurant Cons:
- Left hand turn out of parking lot was tricky

PHO PROS:
- Broth was a nice medium brown, not clear
- Broth was piping HOT and steamy
- Aroma was rich with the subtle hint of cinnamon/star anise (winner!)
- Broth included green onions, thinly sliced white onions, rice noodles
- Good ratio of broth to noodles
- Flavor was delicate, yet rich and satisfying with hint of sweetness. Full bodied and savory.

My husband and I took our family here after a long day at Rocky Neck Beach. It was the cherry on top of a great day. In all of our opinions the XL Pho Special and the Pho with Chicken were the best although we still enjoyed the Spicy Daddy Ramen and Seafood Ramen! Our waiter was very attentive and also very nice and conversational and we never felt rushed. Highly recommend!

I’m glad I found this restaurant, I love the decor and the ramen was amazing. The bubble tea was also great, definitely coming back again.

Every time I've gone here the food is fresh and delicious, I'm such a fan. Can't recommend it enough.

The owner was also incredibly patient and kind with me when I got home after an eye surgery and thought they'd left part of my order out and I was super frustrated and it ended up being 100% my fault for being a blind jerk, the food order was perfect, and he was really cool about it. 10/10 recommend for great food and customer service.

Great food. Worth the price. No dessert, but the server gave us some of his own. Great customer service. Great for small children. Nice atmosphere.

Fantastic ramen, the dumplings and Crab Rangoon were great too. Got a sip of my fiance's Pho and it sounded like it was a new recipe, but the broth tasted great to me. I can't drink alcohol and am unashamed in my love of boba and even that tasted better than the average boba I've had. Plan to return

I had pho special, summer roll, and Vietnamese iced coffee. I looooved it!

Great portions and prices. Good taste and speedy service. Very clean and organized.

By far the best vermicelli bowl I’ve ever had. Delicious grilled pork and grilled shrimp. Summer rolls are nice and light and are served with a tasty peanut sauce. Thai tea with boba was refreshing. Highly recommend!

We travel for work, so we eat a lot of vietnamese food from all over the country. Coming to Connecticut, we were so surprised to find such good vietnamese food. We are excited that Daddys Noodle Bar is a place that we continue to return to. The food,service, and atmosphere are great!

Very clean, very good food, and service was above and beyond...we will definitely be going back.

We love the Pho (#14) and pork chop (And so does our 2 1/2 year old)! Coming from New York, these are definitely two good Vietnamese dishes. Edited to update — we also LOVE the green papaya salad, we order it every time. We come at least every month and pickup via their drive through, which is very convenient (don’t have to take the kids out of the car if it’s cold outside!)!
