The Green Room

Great food! Definitely order the seafood burrito 🌯 and the eggplant meatballs. GF enjoyed the sangria. I enjoyed the Espresso martini - extra special as it features chocolate 🍫 sauce drizzled on the inside of the glass. Staff is very friendly and polite. Great atmosphere, aesthetics and music.

Food is authentic homemade with passion we will be coming back for seconds in near future only complaint is when looking up the menu it was confusing would’ve ordered more food had I known about all the options !!! Local southern themed good eats highly recommend

Excellent food and cocktails, the staff is super welcoming and friendly, and the ambiance is really nice! It has the “hangout and stay a while” vibe!

There was a pasta order, grilled chicken with fries and garlic spinach, and chicken wings. It’s uncommon to get a chicken breast that isn’t rubbery, but this place had good quality meat! The fries were super flavorful- normally you don’t think too much about fries, but these were just excellent because you could taste the sweetness of the sweet potato! Everyone was very happy with their meals and the staff where welcoming and so friendly. Hard to find it as genuine in CT, but you get it here. We will be back!

The Green room is one of those hidden gems in New london. As my father and I are white folk we walked in and we were the minority but we still got treated with respect all the way at first the service was a very good because they were so busy. The music inside was great the restaurant was nicely appointed the decor was fabulous the seats were comfortable and once we got our meal it was absolutely delicious. I loved that the music wasn't so loud but it was upbeat enough to feel like you were at some type of an event but not so loud you couldn't have a conversation. Everyone was scurrying and hustling since they were having a busy night. I look forward to going back and trying other things but this time I had grilled chicken macaroni and cheese and cabbage and I highly recommend all of it my dad had a burger with mushrooms and cheese and he said it was absolutely delicious. And I cannot say enough about the owner he was very friendly he came over to the table he's the kind of person you want to support in business and you hope he makes it! I highly recommend this place for some down home cooking and soul food you will not be disappointed!

Love the Green Room!!!🥰 Great Food eat in or take out. Friendly service with warm cozy atmosphere with a grown and sexy vibe. Owners usually on premises greeting u with a smile and conversation and bartender is topnotch ask him to make a drink and see what he comes with or ask for Captain Cherry AMAZING!!! I Recommend as #1 spot to try if not definitely a loss on your part!!

Outstanding service and food! My husband and I have been there a few times now and every time we go we are thrilled with the friendly service and delicious food! The owners even came and introduce themselves and asked us how our meal was. They even invited us to come check out their Sunday brunch, which we are planning to do very soon! This place is a must go and has quickly become one of our favorites! I recommend it to everyone I talk to!

Celebrated my 11th wedding anniversary with my wife @ The Green Room and I must say, we were treated like royalty. From the hostess to the cook, their hospitality was incredible. I planned ahead to surprise my wife with everything and The Green Room helped to execute one of the best anniversary memories for both my wife and I. First, I thank the staff for the ambiance and their exceptional hospitality. Second, to the Cook, she was amazing; I thank you! Last to the owners that made us feel like the King and Queen that we are (They gave us a room for ourselves separate from the rest of rooms). Thank you all! See you soon Green Room....

I am glad I finally got a chance to try the Famous Green Room. It was worth the wait with some AMAZING BRUNCH specials and the great waitstaff. The vibes was bumping with a live dj set and saw some friends show up later on so I know this is the spot to be at. 5 out of 5! The owner came out to make sure things were well with my meal and that was a nice touch. Thank you!!

Soul food for the SOUL! The Green Room hit it out of the park in all aspects. Warm welcome, pleasing decor and ambiance (it felt like we were at home or visiting family) prompt service, and the food was INCREDIBLE! Honestly, so delicious. Highly recommend the "shareable sides" which consist of collard greens, baked mac & cheese, candied yams (truly a dessert) and warm buttered corn bread. There may have been other sides, but we were already greedy enough, ha! We enjoyed the main dishes of; Rasta Pasta which had just enough "heat" to it, the Fettuccine Alfredo was the best we've had, and the burger with the special sauce and Parmesan garlic fries was beyond our expectations. Portions we extremely generous so we took home our two pasta main dishes and enjoyed it for a couple days after our visit! We will be back again and again.

Great spot to eat and socialize! The atmosphere was so chill with the cozy fireplace, nice music and overall ambiance. The food is so so so good. There were about 15 of us and everybody loved their food. Would highly recommend when you visit New London

I had high expectations of this place from word of mouth, those expectations were exceeded. As a group we happy hour and eat apps. Today we tried eggplant "meatballs", the Jim's crab cakes, the chicken and waffles, the bronx style buffalo wings and the special of the day app an Italian crostini. Everything was delicious, the meatballs were a little soft, but the flavor and texture did not make you miss meat. My personal fave was the crab cakes. They are no joke, crab>cake. Even the cocktail sauce provided was good, it appeared to be house made and complimented the flavor and texture of the crab cake instead of masking like most sauce. The cocktail menu is on point, you'll find something to appeal to your taste buds. I heartily recommend the green room.

Order the chicken and waffles and they're the best chicken and waffles I've ever had and it was all washed down by a bottomless Mimosa special.. the owner is very involved and made sure we enjoyed our experience... Absolutely love this place it's atmosphere is impeccable ❤

Eggplant meatballs and crab cakes 100%. Grilled chicken dinner with macaroni and cheese was great. Nobody left unhappy or hungry. Would go back!
