Seaport Community Church

After 10 years away from church, I sat down in my seat before a Wednesday service and just KNEW I had found my church. I called my fiance (who was church shopping with me) and he attended alone the next Sunday and knew it too! We felt like we were finally home after searching 7 other churches in the area. We got married here and have been attending for 6 years. Now we serve in the youth ministry!!

I grew up in the church three days a week. After I married, we moved away for my husband's job and had difficulty finding a place we felt comfortable in. My husband is a submariner so his career has taken us to many places and we've visited so. many. churches. When we were stationed in Groton, my husband was most of the time out to sea. It was up to me to find a church where I felt comfortable leaving my babies in the nursery, etc. I became familiar with Seaport when SOSA meetings were held there and thought I would give it a try. I'll never forget my first Sunday there. It felt like home and their childcare was A+. I have never felt the holy spirit more present anywhere else and learned more in those 2+ years there than I did over my entire childhood. They are not afraid to preach the word and do not sway away from truth to please today's culture. If you're looking for a country-club type church, this isn't it. If you're looking to grow a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be part of a family who will push you to be your best, this is where you need to be!

Love this church! Military family in the area for a short time but this church body has welcomed us with open arms and blessed us beyond measure. Pastor Brad is a kind man who loves the Lord and is a great teacher of the word!

Seaport community church has been such a blessing to me and my family. The first day we came it was like being home surrounded by family. Pastor Brad and his wife Pastor Debbie put so much time into everyone and anyone who needs them. The love and support we have received is priceless. The worship team is quite spectacular. Our children's programs are great for all ages. I would reccomend this church with 10 stars if I could. So if you are looking for a new church I encourage you to come join us. Many people are turned off by churches because of the way they treat others. I myself left my previous church because God and loving others was not highly valued. I was led to seaport with my wife and our son

He makes a extraordinary effort to make sure that every single person is important to him and the body of Christ. To summarize a church experience in a review is quite difficult, but let me give it a try. Seaport was the 5th church I tried and didn’t have a clue what to expect when I went. I was raised Catholic but didn’t feel it was the right type of church for me. I had a yearning for a spiritual experience that wasn’t so ritualistic, but kept feeling defeated by the churches I was trying. At Seaport I found a place that was perfect for my family. Being a family focused church, my kids are able to attend church based on their ages and as parents, we can be fully engaged in service. At service you can expect awesome worship from the band with the words projected on a large screen (and it’s just loud enough to not hear my horrible singing voice! Ha) and Pastor Brad or any of the Deacons will give a service that won’t disappoint. They are relatable and more importantly, good at giving the good news. The truth is God will show up wherever you are, but if you are looking for a place to feel connected and comfortable, while experiencing spiritual growth, then come say hi to us at Seaport….and bring a friend! Oh, and come early or stay late for a muffin and coffee in our cafe! Yup, you read that right. All proceeds from our cafe go to help fund missionaries around the world.

We have been attending Seaport for the last six months and from day one my family and I have been welcomed with open arms. The children’s programs like Royal Rangers and Impact are some of the best I have ever seen and my kids look forward to them every week. The sermons and teachings come from a great pastor who loves his congregation and it shows. If you are looking for a church home that preaches and teaches the true Word of God I highly recommend you checking out Seaport you won’t be disappointed.

If you are looking to transform your life for the better, build friendships,guidance, find peace, joy, strength, encouragement then you have come to the right place. The world has changed a lot recently but God is not thrown off or confused by it. And as you read the Bible you find out how real it is. God Loves you so much. In fact so much that he sent his only Son Jesus Christ this world to die on the Cross "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son (Jesus), that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. -John 3:16" so if you've ever been curious about God, wanted to draw near to him Seaport Community Church is a great place to do that, through The Holy Bible. There is no other way to heaven in this world besides Jesus. "Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me." John 14:6. I have been a member of this church since birth, I'm 25 years old and I can tell you this. God is a great God.He cares about your needs, he cares about your family, He answers prayer, He is a helper in time of trouble and is above everything in this earth and everything in Heaven. For he created it all in a week. Come and discover life and life more abundantly, at Seaport Community Church. "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you."James 4:8

I'm not sure if I found this church or it found me. Never the less, I found my home church. It is so refreshing, especially being a new Christian, to call my Pastor to talk, and his only response has been, "when can you come in? " The leaders of Seaport Community Church are full of knowledge and wisdom, and the worship band, AMAZING !! The programs they offer have been so helpful to me in finding my path, my gift, my purpose. Thank you, Pastor Brad, for everything.

We been attending Seaport for almost two years now, and I can say anything but amazing things about it. When we were stationed in San Diego we prayed and prayed so hard to find a church that had an amazing children's ministry so our oldest son can learn more about Jesus plus a church where we can grow a closer relationship with God. Our prayers were answered and then some. My son is leaving church telling us bible stories, singing worship songs, even praying for others and hes only 7 years old! I have gained a closer relationship with God through the womens encounters I went too which are experiences I will forever cherish. My husband as well being part of mens group and when he went to the encounter. He has filled the role always as the leader in our household but even more now. Seaport has not only become friends but everlasting family with the friendships we have made. God blessed us guiding us to seaport.

Thank you will never do justice, this is an amazing church, with people who love with all there heart's. When I left for GA Paster Brad and the deacon's thanked me for what I did, but the little work I did pales in comparison to all they did for me and my family. Day after day this church pours out their hearts for God's people. From the time we first walked through these doors we were treated like family. Families give all they have for each other, families learn from one another, families love one another, and families Stay Together For Life. Although I will move away, I will always remember, and be apart of the Seaport Community Church family! Thank you for all you have done and continue to do every day, never believe the lie for a minute, that what you are doing is any less than changing lives. I have been a Christian all my life, but never truly met God until I came to Seaport Community Church. If you are in the area and looking for a good church family you have got to visit Seaport Community Church!

Seaport is an amazing church, Pastor Brad makes a point to notice and seek out newcomers, he makes you feel welcome and wants to truly know you and your family. As a military family that is always moving we quickly felt like Seaport was our home away from home, our children love the children's program and the royal rangers program.

Years ago this church accepted me right where I was at -- yet encouraged me to grow and  change. The atmosphere here is full of love, full of truth, solid teaching, trustworthy leadership. Seaport is a safe place to fall. Here you can make meaningful friendships, discover your true identity, find peace and joy in Christ.

Beautiful facility filled with a wonderful congregation of loving and friendly people. Lively music and easy to understand bible teaching. Great kids programs and many fun events to participate in. Join us! You won’t be disappointed!

Loving church family with a strong pastor and great kids ministry empowering kids and adults to be lights for God's kingdom. My wife and I felt right at home from the first time we stepped through the doors.

I first walked in those doors in Oct of 2010. My hubby was deployed, I was pregnant with my 3rd child, new to CT and alone. I went to check the mail one morning and found an invite to Seaport Community Church. I decided to give it a chance and never looked back. It is our home away from home.

Just had an individual invite me to church at stop and shop in Groton. Was very nice and welcoming and was not pushy or hateful. It was a nice refreshing moment.

They are very welcoming and helpful! Excellent nursery for kids two and under. My 1.5 year old girl loves to go in there to play with other kids. Fantastic services are held for adults to enjoy as well!
