RD86 Space

Husband and I were visiting from out of state and found this place on Google. We figured we would give it a try. We went on a Thursday night, they had live jazz, great drinks, & great food! Hannah was wonderful. Everything was delicious. They also have non-alcoholic IPA. Highly recommend, very chill atmosphere. We will be back.

Fantastic! First time here. Mainly a BBQ outdoorsy urban area under a tent eatery, however has a fantastic test kitchen attached, along with fun indoor countryside classic table and bar entire. Bathroom clean. But needs a division between toilet and urinal. Would definitely go back.

Not your regular restaurant. We stopped for brunch on our way to the Orient Point ferry. What a wonderful surprise it was. Everything served is way above the standard quality of regular and even fine restaurants, for a very moderate price. I wish we would have a place like this closer to home!

Just honestly amazing. The space is clean and well decorated with a nice vibe and the staff seems very close knit and communicates very well! The food. Down right amazing. The prices are extremely competitive and well portioned! I asked some extra questions about the food and asked for a substitution as well and they accommodated it without any hesitation. Truly a great time and good food. GET THE APPLE PIE YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!

Was pulled in by the live music!! This is a great get in New London, a perfect out door space to enjoy a couple of drink with some friends and enjoy some live entertainment. The Benny Velazquez band was playing when we went and they are FANTASTIC!!!! they did a Billie Jean by MJ mixed with a song for my father rendition that was amazing!! Now the food was delicious too we had the wings, sangria's, and apple pie!!! Oh my goodness!!! Don't judge but that pie was so good!!!!!

Had a really excellent experience at this restaurant today. Just happened upon it while waiting for a train and was impressed by the quality of the food/drink and the service. Would happily go back if in the area!

Im so happy that New London has the beautiful gem that is RD86’s Taco Tuesday. This place is so adorable, romantic and hip. They did a great job with not only the design of the location but they also have a beautifully crafted menu. I’ve come here three times and every time they raise the bar. (The pork tacos will save your life but the chicken tacos (pictured below) are really good too.)

EVERYTHING is delicious. I've been here twice this week and already planning a third. Awesome portions for the price as well.

My family and I recently dined at RD86 for brunch on Father’s Day. Very welcoming atmosphere and staff plus their “dog friendly” policy allowed my daughter’s new dog to join us.

The service was attentive, brunch libations great and varied brunch options delicious.

Hannah the Proprietor greeted us after our meal and was very gracious. Great location if you are catching the Cross Sound ferry, for a bite before.

We surely will return in the future.

I'm a big fan of how Hanna and Robert are turning the business model of restauranteering on it's head. Thier ideas are as fresh as their food. I can't wait to experience their brunch!

Lovely garden and absolutely delicious food! The best place to eat in New London!

Great place in downtown NL! They have music on Thursday nights and their food is good. Love the large tables to share with people or make it your own.

Got to try the Beer-Batter Fish and Chips and being a New Englander, I've had A LOT of Fish and Chips; I would say that this was hands down my favorite of all time. The batter was crunchy yet fluffy and the hand cut fries were perfectly seasoned! Sadly, I have not had a chance to try the Pies, but that will happen asap! I can't wait to try the other items Chef Rob comes up with👌

Great place! Went in with 6 people for brunch on Saturday and had no problem finding space. We got six different dishes between all of us and everyone loved their meal. We ate inside, but their outdoor area looks really great as well (and has fire pits and its own bar).

Greattt place to sit and eat, and chat, very welcoming and peaceful atmosphere I definitely love it and sad I don’t live around to come here more often 💓 I had their spring salad and a strawberry mimosa and both surpassed the expectations 😌

Thursday night Jazz - the Seafood special for dinner. What a fantastic venue for music and excellent food. One of the best secrets in New London!

My daughter and her boyfriend had recommended the restaurant. They raved about the food. We now know why, it was excellent. We ordered the fall kale salad, pan seared scallops with carrot puree, wild mushroom rissotto and bacon brussel sprouts. Amazing, everything. The hostess was pleasant, the atmosphere was relaxing and it was priced just right. This is definitely a restaurant to visit.

What a fantastic transformation of a legendary rock club into an interesting forward thinking restaurant. Their spin on classic recipes is outstanding. And the house created items show a real sense of exploration and ingenuity. The cocktail list is unbelievable as well. Get the New London's Burning and thank me later. Sit at the bar for the best experience where you will be taken care of by a couple of the greatest bartenders. Menu changes frequently so come often.

Another great meal. Brought friends this time. My wife is a vegetarian and got the creme brulee French toast. Amazing! I got the steak Fritz with poached eggs.. also amazing! Service is excellent and atmosphere is beautiful with alot of reclaimed pieces to add charm.. Food is always presented in a beautiful way.. which almost makes it look too good to eat..

We have been getting the Friday pre-made meals pretty regularly. Every week it is different and every week is amazing in its own way. The to-go cocktails are also delicious! I loved going here pre-Covid; so it’s great still being able to get amazing food from here to take home Friday evenings.
