UConn Dairy Bar

Always in my top 5 places to get ice cream. Rich, creamy and made on premises by the students. Many choices and varieties of flavors and always including a sundae designed by the outgoing senior class. Lines look long, but plenty of friendly staff to get your ice cream out to you quickly. Plenty of seating outside to enjoy the country views and agriculture. Worth the visit!

I love the dairy bar! Their ice cream is the best - and I love that they always have a sundae of the month (on their instagram). There’s not much seating inside, but there are a few tables and benches right outside (though there’s not a good source of lighting outside, so it’s usually pretty dark if you go at night time). My favorite flavors are coffee and cookie dough.

Today I went to UCONN dairy bar after todays UConn women’s basketball game! I got the warm apple crisp sundae! Every month they have a special sundae and milkshake! The sundae was extremely delicious and amazing! I highly recommended that you come try UCONN dairy bar you won’t be disappointed! I will be coming back many more times!

The ice cream is super delicious, and there are various flavors. Highly recommended by local students. If you like ice cream, be sure to detour to this store to try ice cream when passing through UConn, Connecticut. Guaranteed to be memorable.

Such a yummy ice cream shop at UCONN. This was introduced by my lovely niece who just graduated this year. There's a bar-height table and chairs inside. There was no line when we came and it moved pretty fast. The price for each scoop is very reasonable. I definitely recommend this Dairy Bar.

Very good, fresh ice cream. Staff was super friendly and did their best to keep up with the orders. They provided us an order number when we paid so we knew when our order was ready. Be prepared to have a line. Prices we good for a campus spot. The Husky Tracks had
a really smooth flavor. Not too rich.

All of the ice cream made at the dairy bar is made from fresh milk of the dozens of dairy cows that are in the barn, this gives the ice cream a delicious yet subtle fresh milk aftertaste!

Delicious vanilla ice cream, and you know what they say: "if they can make a great vanilla ice cream, they can make good ice cream"

I recommend the chocolate fudge and the Oreo ice cream

Amazing ice cream. I’ve been coming here for like 20 years. It’s delicious. Ice cream made on sight. Sometimes they are in the process of making it and you can watch. The flavors are great, a pretty good selection. They also have specials. They offer a bunch of pints and other dairy things to go. They have giant ice cream cookie sandwiches too!

I love the ice cream year-round

We love going to the Dairy Bar, particularly in the summer. It gets very crowded with long wait times when UConn is in session, so plan accordingly.

They have a good selection of rotating and regular flavors. They sell in pints and half gallons as well and have some sandwiches available for purchase. They don't have any GF cones here but they do offer dairy free sorbet (at least one flavor).

Great ice cream. Super delectable and yummy. Place was quite busy even on a sunday though. Very few seats inside but there are some picnic tables outside in case you're open to enjoying ice cream in the cold. Decent selection of flavors, too and some cute standees for photos. Personally loved oreo and found the cherry cotton candy swirl to be a little too sweet. Overall enjoyed our visit.

Always a bit of a wait to get the ice cream but man the homemade flavors are worth the wait. The ice cream is very creamy and a good price. Its been years since I have been but the ice cream is just as good. They do charge extra for sprinkles and its almost so skimpy its not worth it. Not much space inside but plenty of seating outside if you don't mind the cow smell.

We went there on a snowy afternoon and found the icecream and the view to be superb. My wife ordered Almond armatto and I went for chocochip one they were both too good.

500 Stars!! Just for the Coffee Espresso Crunch ice cream. It tastes incredible and has an awesome texture with the chocolate covered coffee beans. Inside is clean and staff is very friendly. A bit expensive but definitely worth it!!

They have cows right there and everything is super fresh. Everytime I visit my former college I have to stop here.

This time I went with the Icecream Nachos. What are Icecream Nachos you ask??? Well they say a picture is worth a thousand words so I took one and will let the picture do the talking. Seriously though it's basically a broken waffle cone with 3 scoops and a bunch of toppings plus whipped cream and finished off with a cherry on top. I had a bit of a sugar coma upon eating it but it was well worth it.

If you ever get a chance to come to UConn please do. It's a beautiful campus to walk around. And once you work up an appetite there are so many amazing college food experiences to try. But of course no trip is complete without a stop at the Dairy Bar. Amazing icecream, friendly staff, and the cows are cool too.

One of my favorite ice cream stores, though it’s a 30-40 min drive from Hartford it’s worth it. Their ice creams are delicious.

Had Been a long time since I'd been there, didn't disappoint! Delicious ice cream with a multitude of flavors. Efficient staff, frequently considered a CT top ten ice cream parlor.

Amazing... hands down the best ice cream in the world. A must try for people who do or don't like ice cream. I'm from out of town and we were discussing how to take some home. Delicious, maybe I should study there for the ice cream.
