Scotties Frozen Custard

We stopped by Scotties Frozen Custard today and had an excellent experience!! Our family loved the food!!! Their shrimp burger is the best one I’ve ever had ❤Highly recommended!!

Colchester classic! They do frozen custard - if you haven't tried it, you should. This is the kind of place my parents used to take me to as a kid. Had the Turtles sunday - vanilla custard, butter pecans, carmel, hot fudge and whipped cream. It was amazing. Probably could have eaten another. Nice sitting area too - covered, with plenty of picnic tables which looked like they had been newly refinished. Will definitely be back next time I'm in Connecticut.

i always love getting the food here. my go-tos are the veggie burger and onion rings. both are good portions, delicious, and not greasy. and of course, the sweets are yummy. if they were open all year, i’d be down almost every week for a bite! 🩵

Originally we had a small issue and I mentioned it in my initial review. Hours after posting it the owner reached out to me and made amends for our previous vist. He invited us back and He came outside to meet me and apologize for the lack of service by his trainees.
The food is good and he was genuine in his apology. We will be back.

Such a great place to grab a milkshake!!! Or a quick bite to eat. Hot dogs are scrumptious! My dog LOVES to go to scotties because he knows he's gonna get his FREE pup cup!!!! We also brought one of his friends for a treat too!!!!!

Great roadside spot cooking up delicious hot dogs burgers and fries and frozen custard for dessert.

Our meals were delicious. We had perfectly cooked clam strips and the fish sandwich was great. We also had cheese fries and they came with cheese on the side so the fries weren’t soggy before we got to eat them all. We appreciated the clean and nicely set up outdoor seating! Our dessert custard and ice creams were the perfect finish and we will be back!

Our families favorite Colchester,CT restaurant. Food is great never been disappointed. Owner cares about his customers, had a mishap with our food one time and he made it right once he was made aware of the situation. Will be returning over and over!

Great reasonably priced food. Try the sea dog. Food is much better than other drive in in town...

I had mixed experiences here with order wait times but the food choices are excellent. Don't pass on the custard, it's in the name for a reason. I had mine with their own Cherry Cola and made a float.
It is Dog friendly and shaded. On my last visit I tried their namesake Scottie dog. Footlong beef dog on a grilled traditional hot dog bun, topped with kraut, no bean chili, onion and cheddar.
Their fries were hot and crispy. ☆☆☆☆☆

Frozen custard in over 40 flavors PLUS the flavor of the day AND friendly service with a smile, what could be better? Oh yeah perhaps their giant Oreo Icecream Sandwiches or their awesome eggplant fries...

Delicious. Our second visit, I savored the hot dog with kraut and spicy mustard and she enjoyed the perfectly cooked and tender chicken tenders. We shared chili cheese fries and ran out of chili due to double and triple dipping! All washed down with a decadent chocolate shake. Perfect summer date night meal.

Scotties is absolutely great. Custard is thicker and takes longer to melt. Which is perfect for kids! This is our Thursday weekly visit as a family.

The hot dogs and burger are great. Not sure why it took nearly 30 minutes (literally) to make my hot dog when there was only 2 people ahead of me. I would say the food quality is fantastic and the wait time is.....

My wife and I love Scorries frozen custard, maybe better than ice cream! This is a great summer treat.

Great frozen custard in ALL kinds of flavors. Diverse menu as well. Very friendly staff and reasonable prices. Get out to Colchester and indulge.

So yummy! Wanted to try a place within the area. I had their crispy chicken sandwich. And it was the perfect day to sit outside under the umbrella. I'll be a returning costumer. Very pleasant.
