I had the absolute pleasure of getting my hair cut by Dawn this week! She was very knowledgeable, gave me exactly what I wanted after talking it over with me at the beginning. My short hair was very grown out after moving here a few months ago and not having found a salon yet and she took great care of me and made me look my very best. Will definitely be retuning, and I highly recommend this salon!

I am very impressed with Waterhouse Salon.
When we moved to New London 18 months ago I was worried I would not be able to find a salon and hair stylist comparable to the previous AVEDA Salon I had been going to.
Camber has given me wonderful haircuts; I could not be more pleased with her talent and skill. It is easy to book an appointment online, which is convenient since I get my bangs trimmed every 4-6 weeks.
Waterhouse Salon is warm and welcoming, and I love the location.

It seems that there are more and more salons these days - yet fewer and fewer who actually listen to their clients. I am so delighted I found Waterhouse Salon in New London. I had been going to the same place for years but was never really happy. Camber is a stylist who cares more than just what the client's hair looks like, but what the hair looks like on the person! Thank you so much!

I cannot say enough about my downtown gals Laura Light and Gianna. I have been a client throughout my 19 years in New London. The salon is a true reflection of what an Aveda concept spa strives to be. The atmosphere is relaxed and amicable. It's important to stay updated on and take advantage of the specials. Keep an eye out for their works of charity too! I travel 45 minutes to work, and I would certainly travel 45 minutes for a visit. Planning a half day's worth of services is easy and I highly recommend it! If you can, take advantage of Laura's make-up consultation!

I've been going to Ric from the days when he was at Nancy's. He is such a considerate, constant friend that even if he gave the worst cuts, I'd still go to him. Obviously he doesn't. My daughter's girlfriends always told them what stylish, avant hair styles I had. And I remember the days helping with getting the salon open. Go to Ric, support him and the community. I know you will never regret. Thanks, Ric, for being the best there is!

I absolutely love going to Nancy! She knows exactly what looks good on me. I walk out of there feeling like a new woman and it obviously shows as I get compliments all the time on my color and style! Don’t be afraid to drive over the bridge to get Waterhouse! It is so worth it! Another added bonus is the view from the salon…trains, the ferry. Boats and even submarines!

I have been a client at Waterhouse Salon for over 2 years now, and absolutely love it there! The salon is clean, nicely decorated, smells great, and has a calming effect just being there. I don't believe I could find a better hair stylist or esthetician than Gianna and Laura! I always get so many compliments on my hair color & style. Laura gives the most relaxing & rejuvenating facials & also does an amazing job waxing my eyebrows. They both listen to my thoughts & ideas, and always make me feel like a valued client! The owner, Rick, is very pleasant & engaging! I would highly recommend Waterhouse Salon!

Laura provided me with an incredibly relaxing and attentive facial before directing me to Ric's chair for a wonderful wash, cut and style!

Laura listened to my questions/skincare concerns and put together a custom facial experience that left my skin with a soft, dewy glow. She did a great job letting me know about the products she was using and her reasons for selecting them. She wasn't overly chatty though, which I appreciate, allowing me to fully relax and enjoy the treatment.

Ric understood my description of the cut/style I was going for and executed it perfectly! We engaged in friendly conversation, covering food, travel, pets and national park trivia.. good times for sure!!

I had John who was skilled, amazing, personable, and professional. This was my first time going to a hairdresser who really knew how to take care of my multi-textured hair and curls. The salon is also well-kept and clean. I’ll 100% be back again!

My family + I have been clients of Waterhouse Salon for over 20 years. Having previously been to other salons where I've witnessed a fast paced turnover of employees, I don't see that at Waterhouse. The reason... Ric is a unique + wonderful guy, both as a business owner + as a stylist. He attracts talented stylists, treats them well + they stick around! My wife is loyal to Ric, my son loyal to Jason + I am loyal to Christine. Wonderful + accommodating staff - Highest recommendation!

Waterhouse is a great salon of talented stylists and estheticians (and genuinely nice people). I always feel well-cared for while I’m there, and leave happy with my hair color and cut. I find the facials relaxing and effective. Special thanks to Ric and Laura for helping me look and feel my best.

I love Waterhouse Salon. I've been going there for 25 years+. The one time I stopped , to be home with my son & stay closer to home, I regretted it. At the other place, I felt " too new" and had to listen to horrid gossip about a woman I knew ... the hairdressers didn't care. At Waterhouse you are truly cared for. The atmosphere is sophisticated and tasteful with out being too much. Ric and the staff are friendly and welcoming every time I visit. They listen to my wants and needs and always make me feel wonderful. I'm not a high maintenance girl but they give me tips so I can look my best with the time and effort I can manange. Take good care of yourself and go to Waterhouse Salon. You will be so glad you did!

Ric is a wonderful hairdresser and always a pleasure to see. I have nothing but A+ comments for him as well as for Christine and Laura who gives the best pedicures. Everyone at Waterhouse is friendly and professional. They are a bunch of very talented people! I highly recommend Waterhouse Salon.

I came to the salon because of the reviews and wow, they were right! What a cute and welcoming salon! I have thick, wavy hair and wanted a short cut, so it wasn't an easy job, but Giana gave me the perfect cut. I have had it for two weeks now and I have styled it so many ways, it even looks great when I do nothing!
Update: I have grown out this cut out for a year and with every additional inch of growth I am even more impressed! I told her I wanted it to look good as it grew out and it absolutely has!

My husband and I both go to Waterhouse Salon. We love that they are environmentally conscious and involved in the locally community. The staff is great - skilled and friendly. We see Jason as our stylist and he's great. The rest of the stylists are also excellent and we'd be comfortable going to any of them if Jason wasn't available. Laura is an excellent esthetician and manicurist. Relaxing atmosphere too. Bottomline ... go to Waterhouse!
