Amazing staff and wonderful care of all our animals. Always highly recommended to friends and family. Several surgeries over the years, everything is explained and they are just a phone call away if there's ever any extra questions that come up.

Great vet I bring my dogs here. Wish I could afford to more often but I'm a struggling single mom and my pets are emotional pets. This places staff are super friendly and prices are really flexible.

Excellent staff, excellent Doctors. We were very impressed. Our dog is a patient of Fenton River (equally awesome), but we had her spayed here at Tolland Veterinary since it was a little bit less expensive. Great experience all around. It’s nice to know we have 2 amazing veterinary practices close by. Thank you for everything!

Dr. Shemer and the vet tech (I apologize for not remembering her name) did an excellent job with my German Shepherd. They were right on time for the appointment, patient when my dog was anxious, and showed compassion and true professionalism. My dog even took a treat few treats from Dr. Shemer, which is amazing because my dog never trusts anyone he doesn’t know well. I would recommend this vet to anyone!

Always a 10/10 here. Dr. Roy and Dr. McKermier are wonderful and caring. They really are kind here and treat my furbabies to the best of their abilities. My kitties love them too, minus the shots and thermometers up the butt(lol). If you need a loyal vet this is the place!! I have never had a bad experience here.

Brought my Corso here for the first time and the vet tech was the best!!! My dog was the same size as her and she wasn't nervous. Great place!

Very happy with the service we received. It was Frankie's first visit at Tolland Vet Hospital and the care she received was very thorough and complete.
They were all focused and attentive to her, I never felt rushed, even with being the last appointment of the day. (I think we were there for almost a hour) Thank you again to Dr. Shemer and your team! We can't wait for you all to meet the rest of the mischief! (And thank you for seeing rats 🐀 as patients too!)

Tolland vet is quite literally a life saver! As a first time cat mom with lots of bills, when my little man Nyx got sick with his first UTI/possible blockage I was a total wreck, calling every vet in town for help. Tolland vet took us in not even 10 minutes later. The girls at the front were so informative, their doctor and vet staff took excellent care of Nyx and Evan has been amazing with any paranoid follow up questions I’ve had. Because of them, Nyx is now feeling so much better and I can go on through my days less worried knowing that we have such a great team who really cares are here for us if we need them. Thank you so much again for saving my furry best friend. You guys are truly angels<3

Super friendly and helpful. They actually take the time to listen to you about your pet. Very short wait for making appointments and wait time in the office.

Doctor Schumer sorry if I spelled his name wrong! But what a really good Doc!.. So many people told me about him so I finally took my little boy! He takes time to answer any questions he took time with my little boy! I like the way he gives my little boy his physical he really checked and good for everything! That's my Brunch at Doctor Schumer's! Thank you DOC for showing that you really love and care about animals!

Dr. Shemer is perhaps one of the most trusted professionals I have known in any discipline. I include other veterinarians, doctors, attorneys, mechanics, and financial advisors, in this assessment.

Dr. Shemer has clearly communicated, thoroughly tested and with great experience, advised direction for our dogs health. This has included two, life-saving incidents. One, a mysterious infection and the other, an urgent surgery. We have followed Dr. Shemer from his former veterinary hospital and drive past many veterinarians to see him.

For our last visit we were seen promptly, safely and securely. His team has tirelessly and professionally adapted to the pandemic.

I am a busy man with a wife and children who has seen the long-term care of his late parents. I understand that life is unpredictable and we occasionally need to put our beloved family pets into the hands of a professional. I only wish I had the confidence in other professionals that I do with Tolland Veterinary, Dr. Shemer, and his team.
