I like local family restaurants and this is exactly that. Very homey and friendly. Good food and reasonably priced. My only disappointment that I'm used to bread pudding being served warm and it was straight out of the refrigerator. Everything else was just right. The clam chowder was quite good. I would definitely go back.

What a great place. Even though I only live a short drive from here, I hadn't visited for years. My mistake. Even on a very busy weekend morning, we were seated promptly, and our order taken. The coffee was hot and delicious. Our breakfasts were exactly what we were expecting, and perfectly prepared. Service was attentive and I noticed the whole staff was cooperating to make sure guests were happy. Everyone was very friendly. Will definitely be back.

Great locals diner. Seems that everyone there knows each other well and banter about. The service was warm and prompt. The kitchen was very quick. The Plaza Omelette is a very good meat lovers pillow style. You can upgrade to an English muffin for a quarter. There coffee is very good and she is right on it.

Great Seafood specials always on the menu. Food is above average and service is top notch. They give you hot rolls and pumpkin bread with dinner. The cornbeef dinner a few weeks ago was the best I ever had. Prices are great. Nothing is overpriced. Hometown is a sleeper restaurant in Tolland County.

What a beautiful gem! Very spacious place. Felt like I've been there many times. Service was great and friendly. Food was fantastic! Perfect serving for the price. Highly recommended for a visit.

This place is a hidden gem for those days you are looking for a home cooked meal! My husband and I bring our two kids here often and we’ve never had a bad meal. They are all obsessed with Hometown’s twice baked potatoes and fried chicken. I usually enjoy the turkey dinner or fresh seafood. They have a delicious creamy garlic dressing for salads. Definitely give them a try!

Great family place for home style cooked meals! Great atmosphere, pleasant, friendly clients. Excellent service! Never met the chef or cooks there though. Come on in for Great meals at very reasonable prices! Guaranteed you'll love it. Won't be able to stay though. Did I mention the cocktails and other beverages? Oops, sorry , but you can check their menus!

Amazing service. Such a beautiful building. My waitress was the nicest lady I’ve ever met. The food was amazing at an incredibly reasonable price. I will be dining here again and again for sure

This was absurdly good. This place is basically like when you’re watching a movie about New England and they show the local restaurant. The food was insanely good and fresh (I had the fried chicken, which the waitress had recommended and was very good and a huge portion), they give you pumpkin bread at your table, and the service was exceptional. I’ve lived the next town over from here for 7 years and am shocked I never knew this existed; will definitely be back!

This place is great! Been there several times in the last couple years. The service is great, the food is good and the portions are very reasonable. Yes cost of items have increased, but that has happened everywhere. You can get a great meal for what you would spend at a lot of fast food restaurants.
Not sure where negative reviews are coming from.
If you go with reasonable expectations I don’t think you can be disappointed. If you did run into an issue I’m sure the owner, who is there almost always would be happy to try and satisfy you.

Great reasonably-priced restaurant. Extensive menu. Phenomenal seafood selections. Staff is so friendly. We will definitely eat there again. A must for those who haven't eaten there. You won't be disappointed.
UPDATE: We did takeout - cheeseburgers and fries. Best burgers we've ever had. We also went back the following week to have dinner again. Another great meal! Hometown Kitchen is the whole package: great food, reasonably priced, fantastic staff, and a relaxed atmosphere.

Great place. Ate there for lunch. Popular place but my first visit. Lauren was our waitress and she was great. Food was great at a great price.

Food and service here is good. A nice local place to eat. We get takeout here frequently and visit for breakfast once or twice a month. Irish Benedict is my favorite item.

My Sister took me here for Dinner last night. The food was awesome. We had a Server named Mia. She gave us awesome service. Great smile too. Eat here everyone, we need more small business owned places.

The food here us excellent. From breakfast to a steak and shrimp dinner!!! Always greeted with a smiling face. Everyone is wonderful. Colleen makes sure everyone is taken care of

Some of the BEST food that tastes home-made. The staff is great. Our waitress was Gina, and she was right on her game, never dropped the ball, got everything and i mean EVERYTHING right with our order, nothing was wrong or missing, and there was 3 of us (and we are a little picky and particular), and she didn't even sweat it. GREAT experience. I highly recommend dining here for a special occasion, a girls/guys night out, a friendly dinner or even a date/date night! You will have a great time with great people.

We decided to stop 🛑 for breakfast 🥞 and we try corned beef hash and it was great and good portions.

This place is one of our favorites to go to. The service is always good, the wait staff is always friendly and the food is always very good. Oh, and the prices are very reasonable. We'll be back for sure!
