Gordies Bar & Grill

We just moved here and we're so thankful GOOGLE sent us here for their pork Tenderloin sandwich!! It was amazing! The bar looks historic and cozy. The bartender was very nice. We are definitely coming back for their cheeseburgers

Wish I'd taken a picture, because words won't do it justice! Had what I would say is the "Best Cheeseburger in Iowa" along with a full serving of onion rings and a can of barley pop. Food came out piping hot and full of flavor. The onion rings were crispy and the cheeseburger was cooked perfectly, done throughout, but juicy as could be. YUM!!!

Also, the ambience is perfect for what you'd expect at a Bar & Grill like this. I visited in the middle of a Saturday afternoon. There were about 30 patrons all having a good time chopping it up with each other. Some were playing pool, others just laughing and having a good time. Music played in the background at an appropriate volume that was enjoyable to listen to while also allowing you to have a conversation. Clean digs and not malodorous.

This is the kind of place I could hang out at for hours on a regular basis and it is certainly worth a bit of a drive. Be sure to pop in and get your cheeseburger on whenever you're in Centerville IA and feeling even a little bit hungry. Highly recommended!!!

Celebrating birthdays, and we heard Gordies offered a good breakfast and lunch. Our party of four stopped in and
were greeted by a friendly server. We tried a variety; one chose breakfast, the others' tenderloin, burgers, fries, and onion rings. Great food served hot, and the waiter kept our glasses filled and made sure we had what we needed. Thank you for giving us the home town treatment.

Tender and juicy burgers, crunchy fries, great music, and a friendly atmosphere hard to beat.

Lived here my whole life and never realized we had a down-home place to get great food right here. Go get omelet or over-easy eggs with toast and bacon or grab a quick egg sandwhich for breakfast. Get a bacon cheese burger, actual real bacon cheese burger with a real hamburger patty, bacon you can tell did not come out of a box pre-cooked. If you miss the local small town diner as much as I do, you should swing by and grab a bite.

I love their food and prices are good. They have video style games and a pool table. It's fun and friendly. Most people stay and chat for hours. Owner will always make you feel welcome. It's always clean. I always feel at home when I eat there.

I ate fried cauliflower. They use to have fried chicken livers. They have coffee :)

So fun! The people here and the party they offer are awesome! Definitely the place to party hard or relax and have a few. P.S. don’t play Ma in pool or match her in karaoke, she’ll get the win every time. Austin might come up with a few decent shot concoctions, Cheers to a good night!

First time here was amazing. Mickey was an amazing bar tender and meeting the regulars was a good time. Great prices on drinks and had my first tenderloin here. Was fantastic. Look forward to going back again.

Very friendly, accomodating owner and manager! Lots of beer & mixed drinks to choose from. The atmosphere is great and varies depending on the time of day and clientel, which is very nice compared to the same ole', same ole'!

We. Walked in and the owner was so very sweet and the owners daughter was equally sweet. We really enjoyed our stop. Oh and the drinks are strong and priced right. Definate road trip stop.

A dance floor would be perfect. But, Austin is a seriously fantastic bartender. He made some great suggestions on shots. Very skilled bartender. He was lots of fun to talk to!

Reasonably priced bar drinks. This is more of a beer/mixed drink bar rather than cocktail lounge. Also has a pool table and an outdoor covered area in back.
