Tootsie's Ice Cream & More

I absolutely love Tootsie's! I've always done delivery and y food always arrives within 30 minutes and is always hot! The staff are amazing and you never feel rushed when putting in a delivery order. I soooo recommend the 1/3 pound mushroom Swiss burger! Oh my LANTA my mouth is watering from writing this review!

Absolutely great experience. My first time there, and was happy to not be rushed to order. Man at the window had informed me of not having enough product, but made up for it with a bit extra strawberries in my shake. I will absolutely go back again. Plus the additional Tootsie Roll on top of the shake is incredibly cool and unique.

Thanks to the many reviews I read, we had a wonderful first experience at Tootsies!

So on my way from Independence to Grinnell I said "NO" to my GPS three times and went a direction that was "similar ETA." Thank goodness, that took me right by Tootsies! On a cold February day I was surprised to find it open with friendly smiling attendents ready to make my favorite! Raspberry Malt! The only bad thing about it was I found the bottom of the cup way too fast! Thanks tootsies!

I tried Tootsies today for the first time as I happened to be in Vinton running some errands. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, fried pickles, and a peach shake. Everything was delicious!! The burger reminded me of my childhood outdoor cookouts. I love to shop and eat local and Tootsies did not disappoint!! Much better than a fast food chain. Thanks for the delicious lunch Tootsies! 😊

A old time small town ice cream place..It will take a while if you order food to get it but It's worth the wait. I made the mistake of ordering a double cheeseburger..this thing was enormous !! The banana shake was great. I need to come back and try a few more things soon.

The ice cream treats were very good. Onion rings were yummy. It's worth the drive. The service was great, very friendly.

Worst chicken dinner i have ever had. Chicken was tough, they called pork & beans baked beans. They do have great ice crean!

this is the cutest little diner in vinton, everything is made fresh so allow for 20-30 minutes! its classic american comfort food with an option for everyone. there is burgers, chicken, great appetizers, and there is even vegetarian and vegan friendly options with impossible burgers on hand! the ice cream options are my favorite however! a peanut butter shake is the perfect way to end the day! highly recommend checking out this gem!

Great burgers. Try the breakfast burger. We had a great little time here last week, just happened across it while we were in Vinton for the morning. We didn't necessarily have serious expectations, but we were all pleasantly surprised by the food and the service. We had to wait while they made our meals, which is expected, but overall great experience.

Amazing burgers! They have a nice selection of ice cream and sweet drinks of course. It's a cozy little place, seats aren't comfortable but it's a cool. They have a good selection of foods, most anything you'd find at a pub style place.

We had sweet potato fries, tenderloin and chicken sandwich. There were all delicious and served very hot. Will be back again!

So much variety and so so delicious. I had been looking for flavor burst ice cream since I moved from Texas over 15 years ago. So glad they have it. Also, delivery is great, and the deliveryman is very nice.

Best fries in the land! I had it delivered to the salon next door. Got there quickly, and get your moneys worth. I had the clam strips. my daughter had cheese burger and fries.. and shared mac n cheese bites. 10 stars. Yum

Great food and really nice people!!!

Incredible selection of ice cream and American/grill food (think burgers, chicken, etc) at a very low price. They have broasted chicken dinner plates as well. The inside of the restaurants has a cute, old feel to it like a small diner with it's booths and decor adorning the walls. For AmeriCorps members, there is a discount they can get for their service. Ask them about the Tootsie's challenge or go and look at the posters on the wall about it. Solid place to grab a quick, cheap bite or snack.

Make sure your stomach is as big as your eyes! Wow! Flame-grilled 1/2lb double cheeseburger was almost too much for this big eater. Ice cream so soft and tastes home-made. Go out of your way to stop by, at least once. You won't regret it.

Love this little eatery! Food and ice cream are amazing. Workers are excellent! Small town feel. Highly recommend!

Great ice cream, had to wait a bit but it was pretty fast considering how much employees they have. Great burgers aswell.
