Cooks Cafe

Stopped in for lunch after my husband did their internet. The staff was so friendly and the restaurant is very cozy and homey. The portions were large and affordable, and were delicious on top of that. We got onion rings and cheese balls as starters. I had a patty melt and fries, and my husband had a club sandwich and a cup of soup. We also had three bottles of pop (they don’t have fountain pop here). For all that, we were only out 34 dollars! That’s cheaper (and better tasting) than eating at any fast food restaurant.

I would definitely call this place a hidden gem. Go check it out!

Our meal was delicious!!! Not only was the food great but the down-home feel, great service, and really cool clientele made it that much better. We will definitely be back.

The service at Cook's Cafe in Mason City Iowa is above and beyond. Super friendly staff always made sure that you were taking care of. We ordered an omelet, pancake, crepes, and a half order of biscuits and gravy and enjoyed all of it. The omelet was delicious! We will definitely be back.

We absolutely love Amber! She's the best. We tried the cherry cheesecake today. Delicious. I would definitely suggest the stuffed omelet and pancake! My favorite

We ordered ahead so we could pick it up. They were very accommodating. Offered other options to go with what I had ordered. (Breakfast potatoes, let me just say OMG! ) so yummy. I belive the whole meal is country skillet? Incredible. Must have. Briana even walked my order out to the car for me when I arrived. Great service always and very yummy food! And very reasonably priced. Thumbs way up! Oh hold up. Hashbrowns! If you like them Cooked a certain way! They've got you! I'm a brat. They did great! LOTS of cheese options. That's a fav!!

Cook's Cafe is a little hidden gem in Mason City that is one of my fave places to go to for breakfast!! It is very reasonably priced and the atmosphere is very welcoming n always treated like family!! I always have a hard time deciding what I want to eat because it's all so good! The eggs benedict is phenomenal!! This last time I went I got the ribeye steak, 2 over easy eggs, hash browns with onions, half order of biscuits and gravy n a glass of milk n all that was only $17 bucks!! Highly recommend this establishment any time of day for breakfast, lunch, or dinner!!

First time visit,loved it. All food is home made,and great. Had breakfast and it was like being at home. Definitely will be going back and trying more!

I have eaten there many times and never disappointed! Great Service and,the Food is terrific as well. If you are looking for a great all American breakfast this is the place. Great burger and fries as well. You can call them and place orders to go also. The food is very reasonably priced,for home cooking,cheap in my mind...I had 2 eggs over med with hashbrowns with a scoop of sausage gravy on hashbrowns and wheat toast and Great Coffee this morning..$7.05 after tax...I could go on and on but,Mason City or if your passing through give it a try😎😁🍳🍔🥓🍅🇺🇸

Always great. Tony makes each breakfast for the table - then delivers hot & fresh. The wait for food is part of its ambiance. Enjoy a cup and relax. You won't be disappointed.

Stopped here for breakfast. I had french toast, ham, and bacon. I wasn't sure what the portion sizes would be, but it's a good thing I was very hungry because they were very generous! Everything was cooked perfectly and very tasty. They also kept the coffee coming. My friends each had something different and they said it was great too. Was very glad to have stopped here!

This was our first time at this restaurant. We went for a late breakfast. The food was great. The server was very friendly and attentive. Small diner atmosphere which is cozy. We will be visiting again soon!

We have ate at Cooks Cafe quite a few times in the last few months. We love the atmosphere, the service, and the food! Never once have we left unsatisfied and everything we have eaten from breakfast meals to just a quick sandwich has been made to perfection. We will definitely recommend Cooks and will return often.

Came in on a whim, and am happy I did! I couldn’t believe the prices. Food takes a while, but you can actually hear the cook whipping up eggs, and the smell from the kitchen changes with each ingrediant that hits the grille. It’s perfect for a great, homecooked lunch. I will definately become a regular here!

Was looking for a place that was still cafe style. Found this cafe on Google, decided to check this place out. Loved the food and portions were spot on. We will be coming back again and again. They close in the afternoon, check out the menu for a nice lunch. Won't regret it.

Very affordable. Special today was BBQ pulled pork sandwich and potato salad for 3$! Sometimes a person may have to wait a little bit for their food, but he makes it cooked to order, mostly from scratch, with generous hot portions.

We ate Saturday morning breakfast here. The food was good and a friendly waitress. Cooks Cafe is the real-deal for a neighborhood eatery.

The best biscuits and gravy in town! They have crepes that are to die for! Friendly staff and great home-y feeling! Love it and I will definitely be back!
