I have worked with Brad at Brissey Realty to purchase two homes so far. Brad goes above and beyond to help you find a home, and to ensure you're happy with your home after closing. Brad has provided me with multiple contacts for contractors to help me improve my property. He is also available to help answer questions about my home, even after the sale is complete.

As for listing homes for sale, I have not sold any of my properties yet. However, Brad was able to help me when I listed my home for rent. He was able to provide references for photo editing companies and tips on how to take exceptional photos. If you review the photos of Brissey Realty's listings and compare them to other companies' listings, you will see they put in the extra effort.

Brissey Realty is the only real estate agency I will work with in the Dubuque area.

Brad Brissey helped us sell and purchase two homes for us. He is fantastic with helping us make an informed choice and was patient with all the places we looked at.

Brissey Realty (Brad) was very professional and responsive to our needs. He valued our time by only showing us houses we would legitimately be interested in. He provided sound expertise and recommendations based on current market conditions and he also provided his personal opinion when solicited. When the opportunity arises, we definitely plan to use Brissey Realty again and strongly recommend their services to anyone looking to purchase or sell their home.

Brad was very helpful to us in selling my fathers house. We had two other realtors give us a market analysis one was $24,000.00 under what we sold it for, the other was $4,000.00 under. While all the realtors were very helpful Mr. Bissey seemed to have a better handle on the value of the house. He was always available to answer our questions and guide us through the process. I appreciated his concern and his interest in doing his best for us.

Vicki Bechen was the buyer's realtor for the house we were selling and she's been very difficult to work with. She doesn't seem to have a solid understanding of the paperwork involved. I sent a release of mortgage to be reviewed by the attorney that prepared the title opinion and got a long message about how I needed to have a payoff quote outlining down to the penny how much would be owed at time of closing. I had to remind her we wouldn't need a payoff letter if the mortgage release stated it was paid in full. Which she then agreed was correct.

She also asked if she could put a sale pending sign in our yard (with her contact information of course) a month before closing was set to occur. We explained she could after closing but until then we only wanted our sign out there so other buyers could call us. That way if the closing fell through, we had the contact information for any other interested parties. My husband drove by a few days later to find her sign in the yard. He put it in the garage. A week later, Vicki was there and again put her sign in the yard despite our requests not to. When I talked to her on the phone the day of closing, she was snide in commenting on the fact that my husband had taken the sign down again. Overall, it wasn't a pleasant transaction on our end. I understand she was the realtor for the buyer but when everyone is in agreement on a purchase and happy, there's no reason it should be made difficult.
