I went here last night looking for a new multivitamin. They were able to help me find out why my previous multivitamin was making me feel nauseous all the time, and recommend something different to help me out. I took it for the first time this morning. It’s the first time in two years that my multivitamin hasn’t upset my stomach. I can’t recommend them more! They’re patient and listen, and they’re passionate about the community and their work. Cannot recommend more!

Until this week, I have never needed a compounding pharmacy. I walked in Houck Pharmacy feeling concerned .That lasted as long as it took to walk to the counter. Greeted warmly by the technician, my prescription was filled in a short time. Hillary Houck, the pharmacist, explained how to use the medication. She didn't check me out until she was sure I understood how to use it. It was obvious that she loved doing what she did, where she did it and really knew her stuff. When at home, I applied the topical prescription she had mixed for me. Within seconds I was out of the constant pain I had been in for several weeks. I wouldn't expect to have this immediate result with most medicines, but in this case, I was thrilled and relieved. What a treasure this local, 2nd generation business is for Mason City. Quality people, quality product and quality service!

Top notch people at this pharmacy! They are very helpful and pleasant. What was most impressive, however, was that they kept the store open an hour past closing time, just for me. On my most recent visit, I had locked my keys in my car and a storm was brewing outside. They didn't want me to wait outside, so they stayed open so that I could have a safe, dry place to wait for the mechanic. Super nice people with BIG HEARTS!

This is not only a regular pharmacy, but they also do compounded medications! The pharmacist is super smart and will help you with all your questions! She always has time for her customers, and the store is very comforting!

Specialty vitamins are available here. These are prepared on-site and made to order. If your doctor can dream it up, Houck can prepare it. The staff is very friendly and will explain what the medications and health products do and how they react with other medications and vitamins

Only Pharmacy in Mason City that does compounding.

Drive 60 miles to get prescription on a Wednesday and a sign on the door closed until Monday.Local hospital called in the prescription!
