I’ve gotten some help here, but I’ve also been fed a lot of misinformation, gaslit, and been told not to Google information related to various health conditions, because then you lose your credibility with doctors. Well, gee, how else am I supposed to advocate for myself as a patient, without a little self-education? You guys certainly aren’t doing it for me. The doctor that told me that needs to retire. The patient is never right, huh? Nothing you read on the internet can possibly be true. Healthcare professionals have never been wrong or overlooked something before. Surely. God forbid you have a complex health and look outwardly “healthy,” because you’ll get written off and have unnecessary prescriptions shoved in your face, just to try and get rid of you. I’ve had to show up to multiple appointments, just to get one test or procedure done. Beg and plead. They’re sick of me, I’m sick of them, it’s a sick situation. Oh boy, and do you need to see a specialist? Be prepared to wait months or simply be told there is no doctor for that here in town. Healthcare sucks, most places, and this is clinic is no exception. Half a star for the pleasant reception staff. Half a star for the providers that gave half a care.
