Lovely large rooms at very reasonable price.

Close proximity to Bowdoin nature reserve which is great for birders.

Staff are lovely - we had a damaged tire when we visited and they let us stay in the room late while we waited for repair.

Can't recommend them enough!

I liked this hotel I just want to be clear. It's small but has nice rooms. Not like a 5 star hotel but nice rooms. The location is country. This means dirt and gravel roads and parking. The hotel just changed hands (and name) so here is the rest. Don't expect much on breakfast. Hot likely won't every happen again too pricy but the new folks will get a grab and go for you but hey for the price it's good. Location; if you are on US 2 in ND you are either 40 miles east or 40 west to find another hotel. The hotel is clean and rooms are not tiny but comfortable. They even have the ortho pillows I like. Short walk to club house Tin Cup (not part of hotel) will get you good drinks, service and a pretty good menu. So it's not a fancy place but I think a great deal for the price and hope the new owners keep it going.

I was a little skeptical on what to expect since there wasn't much around here, but this place was great! We were on our way to Whitefish and stayed one night. Rooms were clean, mattresses very comfortable. Simple made to order breakfast in the morning. Very nice man that runs the place. Would highly recommend!

We never actually saw a staff member in person, but they arranged things in advance via phone and our stay was smooth. They had plenty of room for us to park a U-Haul with trailer and the memory foam mattress was magical. Temperature in the room was perfect, too, and it was a lovely, quiet night just out of town. Highly recommend.

This place is a true hidden gem. The rooms are nice size and clean. We had a love seat with electric recliners in our room, which was comfy. They have hot breakfast from 6-8am that is made to order. The owner was very nice.

This is the best place to stay in Malta. Kind owners and comfortable beds! We stayed in a room with a kitchenette that was super convenient. We were heading out hunting and to have a place to prep food for camp and organize gear was awesome.

It's a great stay as long as you're not expecting a 4-star hotel. We spent 3 nights there over Memorial weekend. Staff super friendly, home made breakfast each AM, rooms great for 2 parents and 3 kids. Clean, great service, personable staff at a great rate. Couldn't ask for more. Definitely be back.

Super cute and small town feel. Hometown owner personally checks you in and gives you the tour. Cooks you breakfast and is very personable. Lobby looks like a living room at home. Great relaxing place with views of the golf course and lake from back rooms of the motel. Interior doors and hallway with about 16 small hotel units. Not new, and rooms are a little small, but clean and beds were new memory foam and very comfortable. New TV with excellent cable channel offerings.
Outdoor BBQ area, lots of outdoor area patio area, and even a big indoor BBQ area with a roll up door. Love supporting these small local businesses and love the effort they make to provide an enjoyable stay!

As the other reviews have said, this is as close to staying at home as you will get. There is a reason for the great rating here on TripAdvisor.

Clean, odor free rooms. Friendly owners, and a very nice location out in the country next to a golf course. Very peaceful and relaxing. The memory foam beds and pillows were so darn comfortable! I think I am going to get one for my home.

Made to order breakfast! Now where do you ever get that? Nowhere. Just another part that makes you feel you are at home, and not at a motel.

They even offered to shuttle two guests who were seated with me at breakfast, to the airport, as they were flying home to Washington state from Wisconsin, and I had zero room in my car.

We were the only ones there for 2 nights, they're pet friendly, and its warm! I absolutely loved it! It used to be an assisted living facility so it's got charm and is not your typical hotel but I didn't mind one bit! When I'm in the area again, I will return!

My friend and I traveled to Malta having never stayed there before. We booked in advance with Dwayne, and from start to finish we both couldn't have been more impressed with the whole outfit. Dwayne, the owner, was extremely friendly and helpful in many different ways. The breakfast was awesome, and was made to order by Dwayne himself. The rooms were very comfortable with memory foam mattresses, and spacious as well. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Great experience. Room was exceptionally clean and stocked with full mini kitchen. Breakfast cooked to order included. Ham and cheese omelet was good. What a jem of a place for the weary traveler.

I highly recommend this place. The shower was good. The mattress was phenomenal. The wifi was fast. The owner was friendly. This place is a better value than any chain hotel. It definitely earns the high rating.

A group of us came up to ice fish and loved our stay. The beds were comfier than any big city hotel I’ve stayed in. Breakfast was made on a griddle for us in the morning by a very kind gentleman. We will be staying here every time we come to town!!

Just finished a weekend long hunting trip to Malta. This hotel was fantastic! Very friendly people. Our room was large, clean and had very comfortable beds. Made to order breakfast was an awesome way to start the day. We will definitely be return customers! Thanks!

What a great place to stay! Friendly folks, cozy place and the rooms were quiet, clean, and comfy! Got to have hot breakfast in the morning (French toast for me!) and that was an absolute treat. I would definitely stay here again!

My tire blew off right next to malta so I had to make a surprise stop for the night. It was around 2 am and I thought I'd call this inn to see if I could get a room. Not only dod the owner call me back after it went to voice-mail, but he also let my sister and I have a room before getting any of our details, he just told us to check out in the morning. When we woke up (staff did not wake us up at all) we quietly paid and left. Really nice rooms too top everything off, if I ever need to stay near malta again I'm definitely coming back here
