This was our first time here and we loved it!! The owner (I am so sorry I forget her name!!!) was amazing walking us through the different glaze styles and working with even the youngest in our group of 12 (not quite 4 years old). We will for sure be coming back next year . . .!!! Great way to spend an afternoon with family and see the creativity they come up with!?

Thank you so much! We loved this place. What a fun little shop. I had so much fun painting here with friends. And I love my dish! Kibben helped show some different painting strategies and combinations of paints. And she was so helpful to get us our fired pieces before we left town. Will definitely stop back in the next time we're in town.

The owner was very helpful and knows her stuff. However, the assistant was helping us with colors and we told her our intent to layer handprints. It didn’t turn out quite as expected because we learned from the owner we didn’t use the colors in a proper order for them to show. While we had a good experience, we were just a little disappointed that the finished project didn’t turn out quite as we had envisioned. The owner was fantastic though with making it right. We ended up redoing our project and are in love with how it turned out. We are so thankful for the patience and understanding the owner showed us with our project! We highly recommend checking this place out for something fun and relaxing to do in the area!

Really great little shop with lots of pottery to choose from. Lyssa did a great job explaining all the ins and outs of painting ceramics, the different paints and different painting techniques. No need to have a time slot reserved, but plan on spending at least an hour there. Everything you need to complete a piece of art is provided for you, no need to bring anything, just your imagination!

As a kid, I used to spend hours at our local ceramic shop, so I was excited to share this artistry with my kids, and they enjoyed every minute of it. It cost us a little under $20/person for the three of us (one adult and two kids), which included the painting fee and the pieces we picked out to paint. The pottery that we chose to paint was on the lower end of the price spectrum, so it would be more if you choose more expensive pieces to paint, but I thought $20/person for a fun and relaxing afternoon with my kids was well worth it. Both of my kids, which are ages 10 and 11, thoroughly enjoyed it and asked to go back another time, which we absolutely will. I'd encourage anyone looking for something different to do, either with or without their kids, to give Kurio Kastle a visit. This is a perfect way to spend an afternoon and give your mind a break for a couple hours, as well as supporting your local arts and artists.

Great place to spend time creating art...painting pottery. There is a LARGE selection to choose from and something for everyone! Lyssa is patient, kind and so knowledgeable about her products. I love going in when it is bustling with children-they are always so excited to create their one-of-a-kind pottery!
