Gramercy Park

This is a beautiful park, but more importantly, this is the site of burial mounds from the Hopewell Native Americans. There are placards that provide details on the burial mounds as well as other historical information. The park contains a covered picnic bench area, viewing areas (you can see the Illinois/Iowa bridge over the Mississippi), grills, and a playground. There is a public restroom and free parking (including handicapped parking). The park is open dusk to dawn year-round.

What a beautiful park! Ancient history hidden right under your feet, high above the Mississippi River Bluffs! Walk the paths, eat a picnic lunch, let the kids play on the playground equipment while you enjoy the view! Water and restrooms on-site too!

This is a beautiful, quiet and well kept park with nice trails. Secluded, yet ease of access. Plenty of nature and history to revere.

I have lived in Dubuque/East Dubuque area for 60 years, I had not ever been to this park in that tie. Pretty impressive.

Wow!! Indian burial mounds, accompanied by interpretive signs. Pleasant walkways leading throughout the park. Stunning views of East Dubuque. Very glad we stumbled across this beauty.

this place has the best preserved mounds I've found in the state of IL. after traveling and looking for them 4 yrs ago. it is also very easy to get to even if one has mobility issues.. gr8 park.

Awesome views nice place to relax and enjoy the scenery. They have picnic tables and grills. They also have a nice park and public restrooms!

Just pulled off for a pretty View to eat dinner at while driving through town and was surprised with a prehistory lesson! Highly recommend!

Love the view, worked great for our gathering. Was free, but we donated to help keep the park going.

Beautiful views overlooking Mississippi. Never crowded. 1 non-wheelchair accessable trail.

This is a jewel. The history is amazing. The information signs are unbelievably awesome. Will recommend this everyone.
