Gary Dolphin's Iron Bar

Had to kill the entire day until our car was towed back home so we made time to stop by & check this place out. The bartenders all had a very friendly demeanor and showed us around. The decor is so unique & courtyard/patio is fantastic! We even had the pleasure of meeting Gary who was extremely kind and after hearing about our car breakdown, bought us a couple drinks! Great atmosphere & great staff! Thanks to all for the hospitality!

What a fun bar. Watched the Iowa LSU women's tournament game here in the biggest brightest outdoor screen I've ever seen. Fun crowd and great atmosphere!

Really liked this Bar. Wonderful atmosphere, not too crowded for a Friday night, clean. Returned again Saturday night, a few more people then Fri but still thourally enjoyed ourselves.

They are so nice people are nice good place for kids and love everything there can't describe how much it is so good. The arcade is good as well

Finally, a place with Guiness on tap! This is a great place to hangout in, drink pints of Guiness while drafting your fantasy football players. We didn't eat here, so we can't review the food; however, the atmosphere and staff were very pleasant. Highly recommend.

Loved stopping in here on our visit to Dubuque. This felt like a little slice of Europe and was such an inviting space to be in.

My business took me to Dolphins place to pick up an old appliance for John the manager. He then introduced me to Gary. It was a real pleasure. A home town celebrity. And the place was really neat. Outdoor courtyard with jumbo tv screen. It's a must see.😁👍👍

Was here to watch the Iowa vs. Iowa State game. Christine was our waitress and she was AWESOME! Drinks and environment were good too, but the best service ever!

Very impressed! Grew up in Dubuque, and to come back to visit and find a gem like this is really cool. Already becoming my favorite place after only 2 visits. John gave me a tour and Emily and Michael were awesome bartenders. I will absolutely be back and I'm telling everyone about this goldmine.

Gary Dolphin's Iron bar is really great! Excellent service, lovely drinks, and lots of comfortable nooks and crannies where you can just hang out with a group of friends and chat. I'm not generally a bar person, but this is a bar I'd enjoy as a hangout.

in love with this place. so much rich leathery charm like a modern day Irish hunting club with a genuine speakeasy feel...delicious drinks and fantastic music...I will be back again and again!

outdoor courtyard was awesome place to watch the NBA finals, the staff was working really hard all night and checking in often to see if we needed anything. 5 stars.

After a day of walking around Dubuque we landed at this awesome watering hole- the ambiance was awesome but the service was even better- tha j you Brett for the personal customer service- we will be back!!!
