Best Western Plus Dubuque Hotel & Conference Center

This place is immaculate clean.the only thing I got to say is that if you are a couple with no kids,don't come here on new years eve expecting it to be peaceful and quiet. There were usually around 15-20 kids in the pool from 3pm until around midnight and no chance of getting into the hot tub,that was full of screaming kids atleast 8-10 kids with no parents watching. If you want hot tub time get a room with 1 in the room,plus it is super convenient with the restaurant attached. It's a great restaurant

As a senior citizen I was happy that the bathroom had a high toilet instead of low one. Being my knees aren't as good as they should be using that toilet was a joy. Thank for thinking of us seniors. The room and food was excellent. Enjoy my stay

Friendly, helpful staff, rooms are very clean, great hot breakfast. Pool area is very nice, but if you don't like noise ask for a room away from the pool. Great location, close to restaurants and shopping. We were visiting Galena and it was a short trip to cross the bridge. My only complaint, and it's a small one, is there is not much water pressure in the shower

The hotel is very nice and the rooms are great. I checked in with several friends for our college reunion. The young woman at the desk, Larissa (spelling?) was great. One of my friends needed something. Larissa was busy with people checking into their rooms. Larissa told my friend that she would bring my friend what she needed as soon as she got a chance. Less than a half hour later she was at my friend's door with the item. Larissa has great people skills. She's an outstanding representative for your hotel.

We were traveling through and found this gem of a hotel. Excellent service, Old Chicago attached, excellent breakfast, big hotel plenty of room, good price for our dog to stay, could not have been happier with our stay!!!!

Room was very nice.Comfortable beds Breakfast was not acceptable especially traveling with someone who can't walk far.
Breakfast is held in next door facility with no outside entrance, so you had to walk through hallways to get there.

Check in was easy and fast. We were told what entrance to drive our car to in order to be closest to our room. They have options for stairs and elevator. Our room was on the fourth floor. The lobby and almost everywhere we went on the first floor all the way until you get to Old Chicago smelled of pool chlorine. It wasn't terrible or anything but you sure can tell there was a pool there.

I was impressed that the shower had part of the curtain that was removable so it could be washed. That was very cool to see.

We were very comfortable in bed but it was very quiet. I get that some people love the quiet when it comes to a hotel but I need some white noise and there was nothing. There isn't a way to turn on a fan with the AC so husband is the best and turned on a YouTube video that was nothing but 12 hours of white noise which helped me a lot. So if you're into quite, this hit that for sure. I simply wish there was a fan or something for my crazy need for white noise.

In the morning, I made myself a cup of coffee with the small coffee maker in the room. They had both decaf and regular. It was very enjoyable. We then went to the first floor to Old Chicago for breakfast. You walk through the lobby and into a room on the far side of the restaurant where they have a small breakfast buffet set up. I had eggs, sausage, and breakfast potatoes. Husband had the same but also had a small cinnamon roll and muffin as well.

Check out was fast as we were able to hand in our key cards (cards didn't have to be inserted into doors but opened doors if they came close to the locks) and they confirmed the charge for the room was going to my credit card. Good stay and very convenient but also very quiet where we were.

Typical motel room, but had a nice refrigerator. Interesting that they only clean the rooms every 3 days or when someone checks out, but wasn't an issue as I was able to have my towels etc restocked. Desk clerk and front desk Manager worked hard to help with my special needs at check in, so overall, very nice place to stay.

We stay at this hotel everything we come to Dubuque to visit my son, and we are always very pleased. Just booked our next stay though, and I was shocked that the price of our room is $304! I was told that it was because it's a big weekend. Unbelievable jack up of prices.....

This hotel was very pleasant with a lovely atrium and pool area. The room was clean and very quiet. Breakfast was good. The staff were all extremely friendly with smiles all around. I would definitely stay again.

We loved our stay. Our first night in Dubuque, Iowa. We would return just to come back to this hotel. It was amazing. Friendly staff, clean room, the pool was just what we needed after a long travel. The hot tub was one of the hottest I've ever been in at a hotel. It was perfect. Sad we only had one night there. We are in town for a wedding and joined a larger party at another hotel off the river. Our "fancy" more expensive doesn't compare. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Hands down this will be a stay we talk about with everyone. Thank you for the amazing experience.q

Very nice hotel. Clean indoor pool was large and warm. Hot tub was great. Free ping-pong and pool table. All of this is indoors but feels outdoors because it is under a large translucent roof. Rooms are clean and feel newly remodeled. Breakfast is free and located in their connected restaurant. It is large and has numerous tables. Great place for families. Close to the highway and to town. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We made a last-minute reservation and loved this place. Great pool area inside. We had a nice room with lots of pillows. So, the breakfast that is included was way more than we expected. Eggs,sausage, potatoes, French toast, and all the other little items you would expect. Delicious and unexpected.

We had a great stay. Rooms were clean and worked great for us. The pool and hot tub were very relaxing. Will definitely be back.

The hotel seems a little older but it is clean and comfortable. Expect noise in a poolside room. The pool and hot tub are well maintained. This is a great hotel if you want to enjoy the pool.

This location is great! Stay in a hotel frequently and this one exceeded strict expectations. Clean, well appointed, nice location. Massive beautiful and comfy furniture by Wrangler in the room. Pool is “noisy” but not too crazy and not beyond 9pm. Comfy bed. This Old Chicago location is awesome and the breakfast was freaking brilliant each day. Really glad we tried this place out!

The staff was very nice and helpful. Our room was great and much bigger than we expected. The pool and hot tub was clean. We didn't use them but I was impressed with the activities...pool table, ping pong tables, arcade room, fitness room, and business area. There were also plenty of vending machines and ice machines. The breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast. It had hot foods, cereal, muffins, yogurt, etc. It wasn't the best but not the worst. We would definitely stay here again!

Great layout. The restaurant serves continental breakfast and that has a good variety. Clean & comfortable rooms. Kids loved the pool and atrium area. If I had to complain though, they have hard water, but every hotel has hard water.

Don't miss the breakfast in the morning, very good. Also, loved the layout, pool, ping pong and pool tables. Will be back! Also had a really fun time at The Dog House, only a short drive away!

One of the nicest Best Westerns I've stayed at. Plenty to do in the hotel with a nice pool, area, pool table, ping pong tables, etc. Rooms were spacious, updated, and clean. Beds were comfortable, room was quiet even next to an exit and staff was quick to check you in and be of any help even if just buying snacks. Great stay, will stay again.
