I personally have not had any work done at this business, however...my cell phone (like every single one I have ever owned) was dropped and the screen shattered. I was told to have it repaired by the insurance company rather than them just settling with a check. I knew before I started calling around that it is going to cost more to fix this phone (LG Stylo 5) then to send me a check for the price I paid for it. With all that being said, when I called PoorMan's Computer Center, Zachary was very polite, respectful, informative, and helpful. He automatically told me that another business in town would be cheaper than he would be. Then he gave me a little run down of their overall goal for the business which is to offer affordable services to anyone that walks through the door. He told me that if it takes him longer to enter the customers information, write an order, etc than it does to fix the product then he isn't going to charge for it. I was very impressed with Zachary and the values of the business so I wanted to share what I had learned and say that if I am ever in need of their services I will not call around for estimates as I feel that I will get the best deal available by walking through the doors of PoorMan's Computer Center. Thank you again Zachary for your help. It is so refreshing to find a business that actually cares for their customers. If the customer is happy you can be pretty sure that they are going to tell someone, and word of mouth is a great way to have your business grow.

I had an absolutely positive experience with PoorMan's Computer Services. I had a laptop and a desktop (one that I thought had reached the end of its life) that needed attention, and they listened to my needs and made suggestions to make my machines do exactly as I wanted! Not only did they bring the desktop back to life, but they rejuvenated both machines. Amazing people who are competent and efficient. Thank you PoorMan's!

Zack and his dad have been extremely helpful. We are not tech savvy and they are very good explaining things and fixing our computers. And with GREAT prices!!

They will turn down repairs , show you a cheaper way to fix it, even if it is buying new from internet . this costs them money, but they do it anyway

Took my computer in years ago he found the problem was that I needed a new hard drive. Two months later after no calls or updates and no returned calls I just showed up and asked what was going on. He told me that the hard drive had just arrived. He installed one and charged me $350 for the hard drive and then his assistant tried to say I owed storage fees for two months of storage on top of the 350. I refused to pay it since I hadn't been storing my computer with them but waiting for them to repair it.

My partner went to shortly before we had met and he, the owner of Poormans, told my partner that the mother board was bad in the computer, convinced my partner to let him put in a new mother board that was lower end than the one that was in the computer. Found out later through a friend that the owner cheated my partner because he turned around and sold the high end mother board to someone else. Nothing was wrong with the mother board turned out it was a bad power supply when the issues continued and took it elsewhere.

Why post now? Because I want word getting out more so than just word of mouth.

Took my computer in for diagnostics. Week one, I was told they were having a hard time with the diagnosis because the processor was getting warm. I understood. Week two and three, the same answer. I had to call them for the updates. Not so understanding. Week four, I called again. Same answer!. Two days later I call and tell him I'm coming to get my computer. I take it to a competitor down the street, give him the exact same story about my problem, and in 4 HOURS was given detailed info on my computers issue! I get the fact my PC is not the only one Poor Mans was working on, but 4 weeks and they couldn't even DIAG it properly. I believe a business can make adjustments to better serve their customers, but until then, I will never even consider Poor Mans!

Brought them a MacBook Pro with a screen issue. “He’s out this week but it’ll be fixed next week.” Fine, so I come back next week. “He didn’t get to it but he will next week.” Come back another week later “Oh we don’t work on Macs but that’ll be a $25 holding fee.”

Are you serious? It took 3 weeks for you to say you won’t work on Macs? Did you not notice the apple logo on the laptop when I first brought it? Then you try to take me for $25? Creeps

Do not trust Zack. He had my computer for 17 days, consistently telling me he's working on it, and there's a bug this, and some other lie that. When finally threatened that we were coming to pick it up, then he starts working on it. Then I get an email from Apple, saying I had started a chat with them for support, and they were sorry they couldn't fix the problem, except I had never chatted them. I didn't even have my computer. Zack used my personal name, my personal email address, my personal Apple ID information, impersonated himself as me to ask questions on how to download an operating system he should already know how to do, being a repair guy. Apple confirmed that he was not an authorized service provider, and he should not have reached out to Apple using my information. They specifically said he should not have had my information, yet he did. Sketchy as hell. Got my computer back from them and ended up downloading the operating system myself, which they couldn't figure out. I mean, professionals and all.

My computer crashed after attempting to download Cricut software. I called this person and asked if they could help. After explaining what happened to my computer the guy said “Would you let any man touch you?” Because that’s what you are doing when you download software onto your computer. First of all... no. But I was out of options. Furthermore, we took my computer in on Monday and he said it wouldn’t take long we could pick it up the next day at the latest and he would call us. He asked when we dropped it off if there was anything that needed to be kept. I asked to keep a picture and my Microsoft Office. I said if you can’t keep the picture on it then just the office is fine. No call Tuesday. We called him and he said it was going to take longer than originally thought and it would be ready by Wednesday. Cool. No word all day Wednesday. Thursday we call when he opens and he tells us it’s going to be a rough job and won’t be done until Monday. So second of all, I’m not a dummy I’ve had this happen to computers in the past and this isn’t a week long job. I understand a couple days but not a week. Needless to say we told him, no we will be there to pick it up at 5 on Thursday that we would take it elsewhere that could get it done. Magically, we go to pick it up, he says run the updates and you’re good to go and charges us $145. Whatever. I’m happy that my computer works and I have it back before classes begin. I login this evening and lo and behold what is not on my computer but my Microsoft Office. It’s gone just like my $145. I am so displeased and disappointed that it makes me sick to think this dude does this to people. Don’t take your computer to him take it to a reputable company.

A friend took her PC to him after I advised that her PC was exhibiting symptoms of a virus and hard drive failure and I can't fix that from another state, unfortunately.

He began the conversation with her by saying EXACTLY: "Would you let another man touch you? Because that's what you do when you download things". He wiped it without her consent, without attempting to save any data, and caused the loss of a $200 program without saving the product key. Then he harassed her, was aggressive with her, and called the cops on her when she tried to politely get a refund full or partial. He is a sexist, creepy, poor excuse of a repair technician.
